Hi Robert. Thanks for your well wishes. Yes - really enjoying it. Just organising the new kit for my van and he ho.... let’s see what 2021 brings us all. 😀👍
I just got 6mm hose and new reel with van mounted 500 ltr tank not used it yet,8mm hose I think would use more water?I found 5mm struggles at times with water flow.
Your jets at the end will help control your water usage, along with the pump flow setting. A bigger hose just means you are moving around a larger weight of water I suppose.😃👍🏼
I’m not sure I can do that one. This van shows the most basic version. Also I made my own little pump and battery system to run from barrels of pure water. So these two videos should pretty much give you all you need.😃👍🏼

Thanks for the reply...... trying to get set up with WFP trolley system and don't be 100% sure of how all these different systems work so just wanted to ask. Thanks
Question; how many average 3 bed houses do you think you can clean back & front with a 250 litre tank , I'm thinking 25 litres per house , am I in the right ball park?.
I made some videos about a little DIY pump setup I made some time ago, there is a whole playlist on my channel. There is a video there about the controller from DA Components. The controller comes with wiring diagrams an I showed it in the video. I hope that helps.😃👍🏼
I bought my pump and controller from D A Components. Very easy to set up a system. Even if you have no experience. All you need is a water tank, leisure battery, pump and controller.
Nice little set up Paul 👍 One quick observation, not sure if I've got it right from the video as it's hard to see 100% but it looks like the pump strainer is on the wrong side of the pump?? It should strain the water out from the tank before it goes into the pump. It looks on the video that the water comes from the tank to the pump. Then a strainer before it goes to the hose reel. If that's the case it's definitely worth changing round to stop any crap getting into your pump 👍.
Hi Ash. New to the channel. Looking at getting started.(just been made redundant) just wondering what van I'd need to have a tank and system fitted.i have a spotless water place near home to fill up from. And looking at . What system would you advise? Thanks in advance.
Any van really. But you might want to just check the payload capacity before you buy. It varies from model to model, but the stats are usually easy to find online. Water weighs about 1kg per litre roughly so that should give you an idea. There are lots of starter systems out there that just bolt in. Happy shopping!😃👍🏼
So basically if you haven’t got an R/O tank at home , just fill the van mounted tank with water from outside house tap etc and then it will be converted to pure water once it’s gone thru the tank filtration system ?
Yes. But that way you will be needing to spend money on changing the resin more often. Using the RO and tank at home I pre filter the water from 17 parts per million down to 7 or 8 and then the resin gets it down to 0 ppm. (Imunew at this so I think I have explained that correctly. :-))
It depends on how hard the water is from your tap. If it is higher than around 100ppm you will need to put the tap water through an RO filter system before it goes into the tank, then it goes through the resin DI canister on the way out of the tank to take it all the way down to 0. If the water from your tap is lower than 100ppm you could get away with putting it straight into your tank and just let the resin DI canister do all the work. So the first step is to get a TDS meter to measure your water hardness. I hope that helps.😃👍🏼
Wow a great looking set up but I would highly recommend getting your tank, caged as them ratchet straps will not hold that down if you’re in a accident.
The RO filtration that Paul uses at home purifies the water down to around 20ppm. So the resin filter in the van will polish the water off down to 0ppm on the way up the to the brush.😃👍🏼

Nice setup. what are those expandable bars called that he use to hold his poles up ? Any idea where you can get them/?
I think they are just something like simple shower curtain rails from a diy shop.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh it can be difficult to store poles without a proper bulkhead in the van...
I think the previous owner has cut a hole out in order to be able to fit the poles in to this van.😃👍🏼

One question though, what is the purpose of the di vessel in the van? Is the water in the tank not already pure water?
