LOVE the shelf in front of the sliding door idea! Gives quick access to commonly used tools, and a spot to change rubber etc. Well done!

I have this van at my job but as A passenger. I put a yellow & black crate in the very backseat, takes up 2 seats leaving one open. I’m a janitor but I also do windows. I take 5 employees to their jobsites, it works out. I placed a bungee cord on my drivers blindspot, here I hang my window sponges and squeegees. Also I bagged my towels and wedged it in the window. My poles slide on the far left under the seats. I wish I had this cargo setup! Looks more functional!

Sweet setup!!! Not gonna lie the install didn’t look like much fun😆 Great choice going with an aluminum ladder rack, I remember installing my ladder rack it sucked, came in soooo many pieces and then after the first winter it started rusting....cheap quatlity. I like the idea of carpet in the shelves to eliminate noise. I ran PVC tubes on my ceiling to put poles in to save space and I stood up my xero pure and secure it to the partition divider. I like seeing how other people set up their rides.👍

When I do it again I am just going to have a place install everything, it was not too fun. It definitely still needs some more stuff but trying to work out of it for a bit to see what I want to do. Its nice being able to park anywhere lol

Another thing working out of a van moisture can be a big problem luckily this type of van doesn’t have a headliner like many other minivans people work out of moisture can bring down a headliner can cause your tools to rust in the van just buy one bucket of water sitting in a hot van when you’re not using it humidity steam rust corrosion Even electrical Dash problems can cause a bad day because of moisture ventilation in the roof of the van to let this moisture out maybe something like a camper where it comes on automatically at a certain temperature

I switched from corded vacuum to a Milwaukee battery powered. I also have a leaf blower that runs on the same battery for gutters. The vacuum has storage for my track brush and vacuum attachments, I think it really speeds up my work. 0880-20 is the model.

Your main tool your water bucket seems to me it should be right at your back door so you can grab it and run but do you have another shelf like you would put your Christmas tree decorations leaving them for the year till next Christmas your water bucket for cleaning windows is something you grab all day long should be very convenient not backbreaking And some shelf usually you’re going to have water and soap in it so you want it down low on the floor ready to grab soon as you open the door same thing with your belt should be right there where you can get to it that’s my opinion

Awesome setup! I see you put a lot of great thought and sweat into your vehicle, very nice project, we are still operating out of a 2001 Chevy Astro (great workhorse & it's paid off); however, if we are going to grow we need to build and upgrade.... Does having an uninsulated ceiling create more heat in the summer? I like the pole fastener idea because it makes it tidy, our consideration would be to mount the poles higher, maybe on the ceiling for safety if someone was to rear-end the vehicle we would want the poles to go past us. We also found the pool-noodles useful for ladder padding; in our case, we run a strap front to rear on the roof, we cut the noodle in half, and then slit it down the side to make a "C", it snaps right into the luggage rack and is secured with straps. Do you find having an organized shelving system keeps your crew from losing stuff? Excellent video!

get some Rhino clamps for the ladders for added safety and security .you may regret having too many shelves eventually. i have all of my stuff in a VW caddy on 2 floors ( across the whole back of the van is split into bottom and top floor and all the material is in quick Universal boxes which are roughly 20 cm high and length 60 x 50 cm. ( these go on the top floor ) . the thing about boxes is you can slide them in and out and around very easily ... too much racking and shelving in small vans is IMO in the end a no no. just my 2 cents .. after a lot of Trial and error .. ( it is not nice crawling into the van to find something in a fixed position ) just put in your van waht you need and store what is not needed in the house or garage / storage room . Any TRolleys or step ladders etc slide into the top floor or the bottom floor.. Before you leave for work make sure you have the essentials for that days work ... no point storing things for months on end which will not be needed ( plus you will save wear and tear on the van and FUEL as well due to optimal weight.

  • @Robert-ij9ih

I made an extra floor to keep my ladders under, to slide in and out and to store stuff over. Mine have tree seats and a hatch between passengers seat to cargo area if I need bring longer stuff, my biggest pole have 3 meters sections. Automatic and cupholder, what more do you need? 😊✌️
