I must say, I do have to keep a tidy van but still have everything to hand mate, plus if a customer has a look in. Hot water lets you work quicker and less chemicals all year round and a bonus in the winter. Power reel is a must for me as well, again more efficient = more money and less fatigue as I’m getting older now. Be lucky Ash 👍
Thanks. Yes, it’s good to be organised and work efficiently. When cleaning by the traditional method I would rather have a bucket of hot water rather than cold. I would love to add hot water to this system, but would the benefit outway the cost? An electric reel seems a much more viable upgrade at the moment.😃👍🏼
To be honest I went from traditional for over 20 years to WFP with all the gear because didn’t like the idea reeling hose in by hand on the smaller jobs and hot water for winter. If had to do bit by bit power reel would be first ✅ have good weekend mate
Hi Ashley, i wonder if you or a fellow subscriber on here can diagnose my current problem? Ive got a Grippatank van mount system and for some reason it has stopped producing water from the waste outlet when filling? It fills just fine but intead of 60/40 its 100% water going straight into tank!
Can you fit your pressure washer along with flat surface cleaner and buffer tank/wheelie bin in there too? I’d be interested to see it all packed to the brim.
I’ve a 650 litre 2 man system and in the summer we’ll use over 1000 litres easily . I’m in a soft water area so it’s easy filled at lunch of a customers tap and I’m able to work the rest of the day . 650 litres without re filling I’d be out of water by 2 or half 2 probably
Yes, I want to make a video to talk about this more. I don’t have two of us working every day. And usually I will break up the day with maybe a Trad job or gutters or something. There are pros and cons to each. If I had an upright tank the reels would still have take up quite a bit of space. And the weight of the water with a full tank can make the vehicle a bit unstable. So I feellike the flat tank is better weight distribution and gives me loads of space on top, it’s just getting the equipment up there is a slight downside.😃👍🏼
You have mentioned you carry 600L of water. But realistically, for all cleaning services altogether, how much water do you use per day on average? Thanks.
If you don't mind me asking mate how much did your set up cost you including everything pressure washer hoses poles van water tank the full works mate cheers
The water fed pole installation alone is around 7k. But it’s best to get in touch with the people at Varitech to discuss your specific needs and get a quote.😃👍🏼
Good point. The payload of the vehicle is about 1ton. There is a bit of weight in the fit out before you even add the water. So, yeah, I had it weighed with a full tank and it wasn’t far off the payload. So I thought that by the time you add two people, the pressure washer, ladder and whatever else I might load it up with, I decided to upgrade the rear suspension. So I got shocks and springs. Made such a great difference.😃👍🏼
