The way its just of a cover of a kids song, but the way you sang it made it feel like a new song. It's so beautiful, I'll never not like your music, excellent voice its so beautiful. It's giving old PC games from the 2000's, (technically I wouldn't really know what that is like, as I didn't exist, but still beautiful work!)
this awakened some serious second grade memories in me i remember the whole class singing it and adding their own clauses even after the bird part the surrealism here is wild lmao, exactly like those second grade memories thank you!
This song shares some lyrics with a very fun song called "Rattlin' Bog" that I've seen performed by a band called Schooner Fare. It continually adds verses and gets faster each time. It's a blast with a crowd trying to sing along.
i love seeing you cover songs most people know. its so fun to see your obscure takes on them. makes me wonder what itd be like if the originals were like yours
This is a beautiful, somber and elegant song, and given its kinda whimsical narrative arc, I love how if this song had more of a rock composition, it would easily be prog-rock.
Beautiful. Reminds me of the days I got to play games on DOS like Lemmings and Typing with Mavis Beacon on Windows 98. I'm glad you're here to invoke those type of games with others going for Gameboy and PS1.
Your channel reminds of all the hoops I jumped through in 2015 trying to get an E-mu EMAX II sampler working from 1989 that some Russian guy gave me for free. I went to best buy asking if they had 3.5 inch double density floppy discs and a usb adapter drive and they looked at me like I was crazy. Thing needed a floppy disk 💾 inserted to initialize and power on. And it had to be double density, the ones that held 800kb. Not the High Density ones that held 1.5 mb. So it was even more of a chore. Luckily Yahoo had a whole forum on that sampler and some dude met me in the middle of Williamsburg BK and handed me off some EMAX formatted floppies. Then I went and got the blue Iomega Zip 100 mb SCSI (Scuzzy) Zip Drive with the terminator switch on eBay. I ended buying a parallel port Zip-drive first because I didn’t know there was difference between that and SCSI. I still have both Zip drives and the floppy’s and the sampler. And after all that, I only used it like once 😂.
You just made a childrens nursery song sound like a beautiful siren song. And im absolutely in love 😍 This is one of the most unique things ive ever come across. Never heard someome recreate the old crushed PC sound for a song, with amazingly executed visuals to boot
Wow Harke, I'm always amazed by your work. This is simply perfect! I get nostalgiacore and you have such a beautiful voice! Your editing skills are spectacular, loved this! ❤
I have to say, this is one of my new favorite song in my whole life that I listen even though I missed the premiere, I saved your song when it was a released time, I love this song and I think it could be my vibes and other!
You’ve done it again! I swear there’s something about your music and the videos that go along with them that itches a deep part of my brain. I can’t explain how deeply happy they make me, thank you
@@harkeofficial you make some of the only music I’ve found myself really enjoying in the last month or two. any time it pops up on my playlist it boosts the mood of the day, it’s been so nice with how hectic life has been

Excellent track! Video and lyrics, rhymes and the rhythm is top notch! Creativity is phenomenal! As a filmmaker I approve of this creative content of two Green 👍 up!💚
There's so much depth to this video. It's amazing! Like the mini-me gazing into the hole. The bitcrushing and low-res GIF vibe really reminds me of MS-DOS games or early windows XP games like the magic school bus series of games.
@@Roshkin I played a lot of side scroller DOS games like the original Duke Nukem and Cosmos Cosmic Adventures. For "older" Windows games, I played a lot of edutainment games like Explorapedia and Storybook Weaver!
@@harkeofficial I feel like edutainment as a game genre has been forgotten for the most part. The steam selection seems very simple compared to the likes of the Zoombini's, Clue Finder, Carmen Sandiego.
@@Roshkin YES! It really has! And early edutainment games had a certain vibe that I haven’t seen replicated on current educational games for iPad or other devices… but I can’t quite put my finger on why they feel so different. I suppose it could just be nostalgia tainting my memories, but I do think they had a certain quirkiness about them that I haven’t often seen replicated!
This is so surreal and really gives off a mid-90's cd-rom point and click vibe. as a retro enthusiast I approve! You outta use this aesthetic to make a short point and click game. Maybe something at a tech convention where you are looking for parts to put together some obscure retro device that gets invaded by glowing ball vampire aliens that seem to think God isn't watching their little shit show and they are just going to be able to nuke the world and get away with it.
@@harkeofficial you're welcome ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Keep going this way. (And u had started this already:) I mean, I watching u from a song about Backrooms. And song generator)
Did you hear it elsewhere, or is the minoring all your own arranging? It would be amazing at campfire, getting a couple people to do the drone and doing this a cappella with this melody.
@@harkeofficial I think what made me wonder was how: from the very start it completely 'made sense' I guess like how every great idea seems obvious in retrospect.

If this was posted 17 years ago with no context people would probably think it had a deep meaning
Who’s to say it doesn’t have a deep meaning? Its art

Can you release a version that isn't bit crushed/the melody of the singing stayed the same as the rest of the song?
there is a version without the bit crush on the vocals on Spotify/Apple Music, etc? Is that what you're looking for? :)
