i wonder how much of your list would change now that you've finished the perfect origin arc, Akuma shogun's character is drastically different in the revival compared to the OG, and has become possibly the most complex character in the whole series

It's a shame that the anime company couldn't reboot Kinnikuman series because that would be interesting of seeing the characters drawing developement from the same writers and creators from the second series of Kinnikuman Nisei or I would say Ultimate Muscle. Just like the other anime like Sailor moon 1991 and reboot of Sailor moon Crystal 2014.
I think a reboot would have to do some major rewriting of the original series but if it's kept super manga accurate we may lose some people from watching it unless it becomes beloved for its wacky humor & absurd powers. I do want to see Kinnikuman in high quality animation, especially with the current designs but I prefer the Toei colors over the manga.
Kinnikuman derservs to be reintroduced.
But I wonder if Kamiya is up for the role after all these years.

I think Akuma Shogun was OP from the beginning. First time he was only defeated because Buffaloman sacrificed himself to serve as abody for Akuma shogun so he could feel actual pain, and in Ultimate muscle I heard he was defeated before his revival was complete.
Yeah I have the Ultimate Muscle volumes and that's exactly what happened.

Speaking of manly manga, I wanted to reccomend you some manga/manhwa that could be considered as the new "manly battle" manga along the lines of Toriko and KONGOU BANCHOU.
1st: Kengan Asura (titled as Kengan Ashua on some sites) only has 19 chapters out of 100+ chapters translated, but it already has potential to be an amazing series. This manga is pretty much a throwback to the 80s the brutal tournament style battle shonen with absurd plot and characters. The MC is incredibly entertaining the sidekick is quite unique. Give this series a shot, since it's only 19 chapters so far, it's a pretty quick read.
2nd: The God of Highschool may not be as manly as the other 2 series (it's fairly tame in that aspect), but it has one of the best fights I've read in a long time. Surprisingly, this manhwa (or webtoon) is really similar to Dragon Ball, so I think that aspect of it might intrigue you (also the main female character is incredibly woMANLY). It has over 200 chapters, but considering it's 80% action, it doesn't take that long to read it. If you're interested, you can read the official translations on webtoons.com, wich update every Friday.
3rd and my most favourite out of these three: Sun-Ken Rock. This manga can switch from the most bizarre and perverted comedy manga to the most fucked up battle seinen manga at the drop of a hat. It also has, in my opinion, the best art out of any manga I've read (just type "Sun-Ken Rock" on google images and you'll see what I mean). And lastly, the MC, Ken, would easily make it into your Top 10 Most MANLY characters list. The final chapter of Sun-Ken Rock is releasing in February, so it's the best time to read Sun-Ken Rock.

Kinnikumanly! love the list! I've been pushing this series on all of my friends who like anime! this series needs to be licensed! ultimate muscle is out of print and it takes me so damn annoyed with how expensive some volumes are!

With all the violence, someone should just cut back and forth between the silly moments and the gore.

That's I forget what you call them but Nemisis is Kinnikuman's grandfather's brother
