I must say 5 minutes in these videos and people like Oz are bloody brilliant I've been out of the carp fishing game for over 10 years. Just started again. These are giving me so much inspiration. I'm only fishing for a 29lb mirror called monster mouth and a 26lbder called the half lin but I bloody love it
One of the most encapsulating carp stories I have heard in a long time. The build up to the capture with the effort involved, well done Oz👏 what an incredible fish caught during the best angling years!
Theses are the REAL carp angling tales/videos that really get the juices flowing, lakes where PROPER carp anglers have been laney, chilly and oz with real adventures and some absolutely mega fish like 2 tone etc .. these are the tales that I look forward to and the passion in which oz has in his eyes I can relate to which inspires me and helps me improve and motivate as an angler well done on this one 🐟🙏👍
Absolutely brilliant story,, , only ever been a carp stalker with floating baits or sight fishing,, the dedication you proper carp anglers do is borderline mad ,, top vid👌
I miss the old days so much. I wasn’t even a full blown Carper. I just miss the old days. When time was time and so much of today’s strife wasn’t there!! Videos like this take you back there. Perfect!!!!
Try not to waste too much time missing the old days. They are gone. Look to the future. Sure its nice to reminisce, and there are loads of great videos just like this one to chose from, but we can't go back however much we would like to. Heres to the future!
Man I just sat through this entire video and couldn't put the phone down. This was a journey that you took and it all worked out in the end. Absolutely amazing capture to join the handful of anglers to have the tale of everything that goes into catching a fish like that. I'm in the us and have a few ponds where I know there are 60 to 70 pound fish swimming around and not pressured. I've had a couple of friends that want me to try in one of them to catch a pb for sure. I've been lucky enough after 40 years carp fishing to have a 57 lb 14 oz caught in 08. After watching this I feel inspired to give it a shot but I know how much of an undertaking it will be. I've fished the pond many times over the years n not seen any of the larger fish I know are there. It's gonna take a campaign such as yours and time devoted to just that. I only hope if I have the chance that I catch one like you did. It must be soothing to the soul to go back to that place n just sit there and reflect years in the making to know you caught the biggest that was offered at the time. Well done my friend. Well done.
living in the USA for many years now and still in pursuits of what we are so passionate about. Growing up right on the door step of the brook. This venue and like many other Kent waters, it’s so nice to enjoy it still from afar. Thank you for producing this and for sharing with us all. As always a fantastic watch and listen delivered by Oz. 🙌🏻 lovely times.
@@Itwasntalieitwastrueinmymind yeah, the genetic chain here in the USA is far from the Uk or European venues standards… by a long way off. One day perhaps… way to much competitive feeding over here… thin the Hurd a little and maybe some better results may be had.
Absolutely love watching Oz fish such a wicked angler I've been fishing since I was 11 years old carp fishing over 30 years last year I had most of my gear nicked apart from 2 rods and a bed chair I haven't been able to afford to replace my stuff yet this year mentally has absolutely ruined me I can't wait to get out again .
What a absolutely brilliant story of one of the greatest carp this country as ever produced. Two tone. Brilliant proper carp anglers. Great story oz of this magnificent fish and your ambition to catch it. Brilliant. 👍🐬💥
What a video and goes to show how dedicated these special anglers are , it’s not just buying all the best tackle and looking good it’s all about water craft and getting knowing the fishes habits etc , great video again 👍
It's says a lot about the charisma of a story teller that I can sit and eagerly watch this with baited breath for 1hr 20 +! Extraordinary! Apparently the dog doesn't feel the same, however.
Great achievement, and a brilliant story, that took many minutes, hours, days, years (from travelling, baiting, observing) & much sacrifice to accomplish 👌🤝
Great story Oz. The way you told it fella I was with you all the way. It was like I caught it. What a iconic fish and venue. Burghfield common story next?
Well done Oz one of the best videos I’ve watched in a long time very good account and loved the actual footage hard work and effort equals rewards well deserved 👏👏👍👍
Absolutely fantastic story Oz, I throughly enjoyed listening to your tail on catching two tone. And living the moment with you as you told the story. Amazing 👏 ❤👍
Wow Oz, that story was so fkin awesome, it really is the lake of dreams! What a beautiful place and what a beautiful fish, I can’t believe how big it looked when you picked it up- nm no doubt it would’ve been a lot bigger in real life. Amazing story- & very well told! Jim is also a beaut! 😁 thank you for sharing your story! 🙏🏻
Fished it hard for four years, back in the late 90s. Had my first one of joe’s point on the seventh day. For only having twenty fish in the lake they did love too show themselves on a good warm west wind.
Hope you enjoy it James, there will be loads more detail in the two Brook chapters so the film shouldn’t spoil the read other than you know the ending 😆 ✌️
Great story and awesome carp! You told your approach changed when you saw the hookhold of Daryll whcih was barely hooked in front of the mouth. So now I'm wondering, how was the hook set with your approach (long shank slip D) when you caught this fish?
Great vid and story but tbh outside of the conningbrook anglers it became a bit of a joke at the time ..amazing Carp but it got caught too much and at the end the captures were not taken too seriously it was just like oh Two tones out again a few ounces biiger lol Now the Burghfield Common thats a different level

Fished it hard for four years, back in the late 90s. Had my first one of joe’s point on the seventh day. For only having twenty fish in the lake they did love too show themselves on a good warm west wind.

Strawberry
Ahh little jim
Oz is the new terry hearn
👌🐋
It's good and everything but I don't know why we have to have bloody stupid music all the time. I prefer a bit of birdsong and the sounds of nature.
Lol, the music stopped 5 minutes after I wrote that!
😊👍
The real record today is the Wingham carp that was unclaimed and that will likely never be broken by a born and bred UK carp.
Talkin crap thought i was guna see a fish just watchin him babble on
When someone is telling a story it tends to involve them speaking
What a story 👍👍👍
