Lucky for you to see a Tawny. They are very shy and nocturnal. I have a family in my garden. 5 have fledged in the last 2 breeding seasons. Trust me you do not want to confront a Brown. Really enjoying your channel. Identifying and describing flora & fauna of many Australian forests even with ref's can be really difficult. Great job. Although that stand of Jarrah is beautiful they are pretty average as far as Jarrah goes tbh. Like many of our larger Euc species we cut most of the bigger Jarrah down on arrival. It was milled into sleepers and shipped back to the UK where they used them to pave roads!. Can you fucking believe it? That quality timber used ... as road base. It all got tarred over when the automobile arrived and forgotten. Eventually demand & the price of the timber increase in time & they ripped up the roads to reclaim the timber. Least that's my understanding. Huge demand on Jarrah.
Hey mate, so glad you enjoyed Australia. If you come back over and check out Melbourne, I would love to take you out to see the Dandenong Ranges especially some of our rainforest and the beautiful arboretum out that way. The rainforest is always best in Autumn as then all the fungi is out too!
Fantastic - 100,000 subscribers - congratulations! Great souvenir of Australia, hey. You must be down south of Perth by now - have a super trip! Another great vid.
That place makes one very wide-eyed - effing amazing - like the little Halloween guy - very trippy - Thanks Tony, enjoyable walk on the South Side, beautiful botanicals
I was digging " Oh, uh, it grows to about a hundred thirty feet tall". I was halfway expecting him to hold up his middle finger in front of the camera and say, "Now with a little bit simple trigonometry....."
Whoa there, 800mg's is too much. CPBBD'S channel is for education And relaxation. Have a nice cup of some hippie herbal tea. That'll fix ya right up. lol
I think the "leaf" disease around 8:00 is actually heat damage. In southern Australia we get extreme week long heat wave's with 115F (46C) temps with 50-80mph (80-120kmh) winds come screaming off the desert in summer. These are getting more extreme each year. Anyway, this is exactly what happens to quite a few plants in my garden during these extreme heat events. Afterwards many leaves appear "scorched", generally on the northen side of the plant (that takes the brunt of the heat/wind/UV). Keep up the amazing work sharing your knowledge. Cheers, from Melbourne, Australia.
Cool how the plants actually need fire to drop their seeds. Interesting how fire can be so destructive and at the same time necessary for the Forrest plants. Truely enjoy your videos friend. Thanks for sharing.
Members of the family Loganiaceae are actually native to tropics all over the world. Where I'm at in Florida the genus Mitreola is present and pretty common. Love the videos! Your botanical knowledge is uncanny.

I cannot say why oh why some "mouthbreathers" do that maybe envy or such nevertheless I can assure you it is nothing to be worried about because the yt algorithm takes some thumbs down on a video as confirmation that the video is interesting and pushes the video up the suggestion list. So, "haters" have no idea that their "negative vote" in reality helps to promote the video. 😉👍🏼

Great video. You must get a lot of vacation time from the UP (my dad retired from the UP way back)!! Ugh, I have wild clematis, and it likes to spread like wildfire. They reseed like crazy.
Suicide headaches and migraines. Clematis linguisticifolia-western virgins bower, if I remember correctly is an impressive clematis if it really works for cluster headaches and migraines, although psilocybin mushrooms have also saved some people from suicide headaches. But of course those are illegal in some places and the hallucinogenic side effects are quite difficult to deal with for some people. Anyway, that clematis is said to work for severe headaches.

Now I know why my mom didn't like me hanging out in Oak Park. It was all the botanists in speedos photosynthesizing.
McNally Berwyn is one town south. I lived in Oak Park for 10 years.
