I'm impressed by how much you touch. I spent four glorious months living in the jungle of Belize and I quickly learned to touch as little as possible. I just didn't know which plants were friendly and which weren't. And you are pretty brave to be fingering the leaf litter! I remember kicking over a leaf with my foot and finding a gorgeous little scorpion that I wanted nothing to do with.

wow- Your best yet. Fantastic. I think the Aroid near the start was a Syngonium. I have that growing- out of a fish tank. In my front yard I have Bocconia. The Dry Garden always sells them, but so far mine is the only I've seen in a front yard. I've gotten no Selaginella to survive outdoors in Hayward. Even soaking wet feet..the lack of humidity does them in every time. I have the Peltis also in my backyard. I love the Mexican Wet-Dry tropics. Amazing how much of that grows a bijillion miles north here. Spanish moss? Its a battle between me and the birds. Every now and then a birds nest made out of it...falls out of my Podocarpus. With no summer rains here..they just die away from my garden hoses reach. I have the Pilocarpus,Tillandsia,
I got C.mexicana..on and on. South Africa and Mexico battle for my little yards.
It's the only thing that makes Hayward worth living in...

My god that is a gorgeous landscape. Thank you so much for all these excellent videos. I’m learning so much that I can actually understand some of the plant shit that my sister, a self-taught horticulturalist, talks about. And I am starting to correctly identify flowers by family! I love fabaceae the best so far, excellent super cool plants. I never thought I’d be able to learn about botany, but when you combine it with copious swearing, hilarious observations, and dungeon/safe word references, it’s entertaining enough to stick in my head. Thanks again and gfy, bye.

Damn what a beautiful place. If younger ....by many decades....I would be up in those trees checking out the orchids and bromeliads. That blue centipede was likely the badass of the neighborhood....daring somebody to jump his ass. Their toxins are in their frigging feet.i..in their sharp ass toenails. When the walk on you, you feel the sting. Not terrible but uncomfortable and lingers for a while. Judging by his prominent (I ain't hiding from nobody) his sting is probably more than uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and such fine places.
