These newer "cheap" Units are getting to almost good quality nowadays but they are still far behind the major brands like Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine etc. But for basic functionality in a cheaper car or work truck it will do fine. The main problem with the power acoustic radios are that they tend to go "CRAZY" after a while like randomly volume turns up and down and stations switch on their own and the whole user interface gets "BUGGY" probably due to bad software or faulty hardware caused by the vehicle switching on and off regularly over the span of months or a year and in hot weather etc. The speakers are decent for the power put to them by the Radio, however that particular speaker design has been around since early 2000's or before, even audiopipe and soundstream used them and more recently "BOSS" audio and cheaper end products, but for radio power of 14watts rms they will do fine as long as you don't expect much bass from them, the lowest you should cut them off is about 63Hz or even 80hz if you have a dedicated subwoofer.

14W seems low. My biggest problem with the budget brand radios, ESPICALLY Duel is they use knockoff power amp IC's. For example, the TDA7850 was extremely popular untill about 2015-16 when 2 ohm operation become more common. The genuine STMicro TDA7850 is almost $9 a pop and can do just over 20WPC. 45Wx4 is possible at 2 ohms but heat becomes an issue so they dont recommend it or fuse the deck high enough. the cheaper brands will use a knockoff like the YD7850, or more commonly YD7833 which is a copy of the now outdated TDA7833. the YD chips have a fraction of the power output and little to no protection. i have TWO Duel decks in my closet that both caught on fire. JUNK. It would be interesting to see this Power Acoustic popped open and its power IC looked at.

You can buy a class d amp if this has a remote amp turn on.
@@hithere7382 Yes, you can buy any amp, but MOST people in the market for a $100 deck arent getting an amplifier
@@bassblaster505 so i can buy a cheap deck and get a amp and run my 2 10 inch subs from that? i thought i would have to run it from my radio. say less
@@kingspin14 In therory. but be aware the RCA pre outs may clip early. but since "cheap deck" is subjective any reputable brand should be find. I know JVC, Pioneer and Kenwood have a few options in the 60-70 buck range
@@bassblaster505 im really only trying to spend 150 bucks on a head unit i dont more and double din in that range? you got any suggestion?
Setting the bar pretty high on those speakers aren't we?
They sound pretty good if you don't have any.
They are the best free speakers ive ever seen
@@ATCA how did you wire it? I turned off the driver forbidding video option. But it still won’t let me all I get is sound. Please help.
@@ATCA Is the head unit Bluetooth 5.0?
I just 2 of them at walmart on clearance for $52
Cómo se conectan cables
Picked this up, wired it up using metra interface on my expedition and everything worked great until I took the keys of the ignition. This radio does not shut off!! I tried switching the power with battery wires and nothing. I don’t need my battery drained because wife didn’t turn off the radio so I removed it until I can further troubleshoot. If I can’t think of anything then this is going back to Walmart.
Anyone had any issues with powering off this thing or atleast have any tricks for me to try?
Where are you connecting the 12v acc. From the stereo?
It's a wiring issue. Radio cannot stay on unless it has power and it shouldn't have power when you turn the key off. Make sure there is absolutely zero connection with red and yellow wires
You have the memory power wired to keyed 12v and power wired to battery power. Switch the 2 connections and you should be good
Ok a quick question does anyone know if this will fit in any car. I have a Honda Accord 2007 and idk if it’s gonna fit
Yes
@@keynosmith2208 thank you 🙏
Does the video work without connecting pink wire
Theres a setting it
I put it on off
Is this head unit compatible with the install kits that allow you use still use your climate controls? I have a 7th Gen Accord and will need to use the kit that has the climate control buttons.
I believe the kit has little to do with the radiom it should work fine
I've been wanting to replace my HU in my 05 Trailblazer, but it doesn't use the standard 4ohms since it was an upgraded Bose package.. I wonder if this would work with the speakers built in to replace the Bose doors with the new ones..
Itll be fine because it feeds the bose system. Youll still use the stock amp
@@ATCA So keep the stock speakers too?
It’s a nice little radio but I was confused does anyone know what the reverse audio does in sound
Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps phase?
I have a question the harness for the stereo has 2 wires, green and brown labeled key 1 and key 2 where are does wires go connect to? Any one
Steering wheel controls
@@victorvaca2867 I appreciate people like you.
I bought one and it worked great for 3 weeks but then it just got stuck on a restart loop
What model is the head unit ?
Model number in title
Will these speakers be better than my 2011 Nissan Sentra speakers. The back speakers a 20watt in my car
Thsts hard telling. They may be brighter with the extra tweeter. Better may be subjective
My power acoustik bluetooth doesn't even recognize my note 10, any reason why . BT is on by the way, I hit search and it doesn't find anything at all? Is there a wire to hook up , maybe the bt antenna?
Did you try manually powering off the radio while car is still on , then turn back on radio (aswell as turning off and on Bluetooth on your phone and try again ever since I did that I haven’t had a problem since.
Have the pioneer avh 120bt and it's amazing and only 120
Been looking at that one but can't find it cheaper than 175
@@Laurel-Crowned mark ups suck...
Is it Bluetooth 5.0?
Can you do xm off the unit or on cell phones
Not sure tbh
Thanks for the video! I Just bought this radio it was on sale for $50! Hopefully the apple play works good since you didn’t touch on it much
I dont have an apple :/
where did you get it for $50?
@@nismoskylinegtrv Walmart
Got mine for 37 dollars at Walmart
@@robertmungia9916 37?
Does it have Sirius?
Why does Walmart sell those if the car mechanics working there have no clue about it how to install them?
Why do they sell car wax and tow balls and Legos if the mechanics there have no clue how to use them?
Why do they sell puree seasonings and drywall tools if their cashiers aren't chefs or tradesmen?
Mylar tweeters? Those are harsh. Silk is smooth.
Most modern cars have better speakers than what came in that box.
I mean if you’re broke and have a really old car and just need some noise, it’s a good buy.
