This is the system that I decided on instead of the Dealer suggesting the Furrion. We also went with the side marker cameras...what a plus! The only minus that I give his system.....at times the rear camera will get blurry....not sure if it is the antenna or what. But overall, I really like this 3 camera system. We have had it installed for almost 3 years.
I have four haloview 7 cameras on my 38 ft fifth wheel for almost five years. I too have a big truck, a F-350 King ranch crew cab which is huge and I have no problems at all with reception. The camera is so clear it's beautiful. I have all four cameras recording at the same time and a 32 gig card in it, and I have it record over itself. I wish I could have had the option to remove the monitor and bring it inside but it wasn't available at this time. I love it and if I ever had a camera problem I would just call haloview and they'd make it better by either sending me a fix for free or tell me where I could get a replacement. Customer service is wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.
Thank you for this. Like you, I am running an F350 Long bed crew cab. Our trailer is 31 ft from hitch to the stock camera on the back and the stock camera on our Forest River is junk, we just kind of wrote it off. Now It looks like I'll be upgrading.
Hi, just installed this system and wanted to ask. Does it only record the camera or cameras that are on the monitor, or does it record all channels all the time if you turn it on?
We have had our BT for a little over a year and absolutely love it still. Trip 3 allows me to see the rear camera across the top and the two side cameras below!!!!!
We bought and installed the Haloview BT7 rear camera just over 2 years ago now on our new 35' travel trailer, plus 20' chevy 2500, after looking into an alternative to Furrion with better reviews and pricing. We are not super handy people but they made it very easy to install ourselves. It has held up great. We have had maybe one or two times the screen froze for about 3 seconds but 99% of the time no issues at all. Love the features it has even from 2 years ago. Sounds like they just keep improving their products. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Love your channel. I have been using the BT7 (non-touch screen) for two years. We travel about an average of 40 days per year. I have a 35 ft 5'er and a Ford F250. My BT7 sits on the dash and I have the rear view cam and two side view cams. I use a 256gb card so I can record all day long even when parked. I experience video drop out occasionally on some trips. On my last trip, the drop out occurred along the same stretch of highway going to and from the destination. I suspect the drop out was caused by some type of interference in the area. It dropped for a few seconds and then worked for a minute or so and then dropped again. Repeated this for about 10 miles. Other than that, it works the majority of the time. On a side note, the device can be setup to use the tow vehicle blinkers (using the green wire) to force the display to only the camera for the side of where you are turning. BT support advised to use a Curt trailer light converter to make this function properly. I fought with it and tried two different Curt devices. It worked intermittently. I eventually removed the Curt device and gave up on that auto switching feature. I am satisfied with the BT7 overall and its still working fine after two years.
thanks for sharing... do you leave the screen on to record in the truck when parked or do you bring it into the RV? Im thinking about bringing it in since I have the additional power cord.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS Yes, I do bring it into the rig and set by the bed. I made a 7pin adapter with a fuse to power up the cams when disconnected from the truck. I think I learned that hack from Jerrod at All About RVs. This powers up the cameras 24/7. It gives my wife of 40 years a slightly better security feeling at night knowing we can see the perimeter from inside the rig with all the shades down. I have a separate dash camera (Garmin) to record the front of the truck that is active 24/7 with bluetooth to my phone.
I've been using a haloview for 2 years now on a 28 ft camper. Still working great. I have a side marker camera on each side and one on the rear of the camper. Occasionally the system loses contact with one or all of the cameras but comes back online within 10 seconds. There is a noticeable lag on the cameras (I even installed a remote antenna on the roof of my camper without any real change). It just means the cameras are NOT a replacement for using your mirrors. I've found them to be too wide view to be very helpful in backing in the camper. Also on 3-4 occasions, the rear camera was deleted from the system and I had to re-sync it. This didn't happen when driving but when leaving the house or rv park. It doesn't happen often but can be a nuisance, especially if you're by yourself. You have to go into the menu (I have buttons, no touch screen option when I bought it), find the sync mode, then jump out of the truck, climb the back of the camper and press the sync button. Overall it's a good system and I can't imagine driving without the rear camera.
I have the BT7, I've had mine on for over a year. I can't tell you if it works well because I never linked the camera and monitor because I had grand plans to connect this to my trucks power, but I haven't gotten around to it. This video is inspiring me to get it done. Our trailer is 26FT long
After having one, I would never tow without having eyes behind me. Ill be adding the dash cam too, which is something im looking forward to having for insurance reasons. www.haloview.com/btc131-byte-tango-1080p-hd-wireless-dashcam.html?acc=765
I installed this system with the 2 side camera Feb of 2022, and it has been awesome. I have a 1 ton dually and 35’ toy hauler. I travel with my dog full-time. Very occasionally it the connection will break up, but it doesn’t last long. I have the sound on so I know when another vehicle is approaching. The system is working awesome! I mounted the receiver on the mirror, and that has been great. I haven’t recorded with the camera, but I did install an Sd card. I need to start doing it, thank for the nudge!
Love the video. I have a 28’ Imagine (23LDE) and a 1 ton crew cab short bed F-350 so very similar to you. And just went by the Finger Lakes yesterday on my way back to Boston. I was thinking about the BT11 with front mounted camera and GPS. Backing up is not an issue with my wife as spotter and walkie talkies but live rearview for passing and to see idiotic drivers behind me is very important! Keep up the videos!
Paul, Im totally with you... I really could never go again with a back up camera, but having visibility to whats behind me on the road is necessary. Thanks for watching and hope to hear from you more! Maybe someday we'll meet on the lake!
Nice, informative video. And by the way, you do an amazing job at them by moving right through the videos the way you do and not dragging things out. I have a question in regards to power to the rear mounted camera. We have a new Furrion system, and power is provided by the parking or clearance lights. The Halo camera system you said has LED lighting on it which you can leave on. In order to do this, do you have to leave your clearance lights for the camper on... hooked to the tow vehicle with its lights on, too? Rhett
no sir, the lights work through the normal power and ground wire the camera uses. You turn them on at the screen of the system, but again you can power down the screen and the lights will remain on until you turn them off in the screen settings. does that answer your question?
Great video Ross! We have a '22 GD 346fls-r 5th wheel which is 38' long behind a 23 ram 3500 MagaCab drw. Using the stock Furrion rear cam that came with the unit. It's terrible quality and has got to go. We'll definitely try the HaloView 3 cam system and see how this works out. Thank you sir for the review.
What are thoughts on cameras that integrate into newer truck's "Infotainment System" (The touch screen that controls all your audio and multiple truck cameras, etc) ?? My thought was that I would want to use that. Do those suck or what? I'm kind of hesitant to have an additional screen. 🤔
I just removed and gently discarded my original Furrion Vision S with the Haloview BT7 Touch. There is no comparison. The BT7 is far superior. Also, I installed the side cameras and was EZPZ. (The Furrion side cameras weren't as bad as the rear camera.) Haloview BT7 Touch is a great product!
Thanks for the info Russ, I’m really tempted to do a side by side comparison in the spring. I’ve heard a few complaints about the camera/screen quality of the Furrion. All very similar to what you’re saying, even about the side cameras. Appreciate your feedback.
I love watching your video's. Very educational. Where do I purchase the rubber and backing plate for my rear view camera that I'm going to purchase like the one in the video you made. Thanks what size also is the rubber and backing plate?
I bought the Auto-vox wireless solar system with the license plate mount. Various issues forced me to return it, but customer service helped as much as they could and answered every email. They offered a discount on any other product I would like to purchase. I have been very pleased with their service so far, and will be installing their hard wired unit.
We are on our 4th travel trailer. Retired 8 years ago and we usually do anywhere from 6 to 10 outings every year. I have never used, or needed a back up camera on the trailer. I do use the back up camera on the pickup truck to hook up, but have never quite understood the need for one on the trailer.
I just purchased the non-touchscreen version of the BT7. We just used it on our first trip this weekend. We really like the video quality. Much better than our old one. The old one got cloudy after 4 to 5 months of use. It was a very cheap one from Amazon. So far, we are glad we made the purchase. There is a little bit of lag on the camera, but nothing too bad. We have a 26 foot camper.
Haloview used to have a Screen mount that connected to your rearview mirror. This sounds like a good idea since you can't use the rearview mirror anyway. Especially with a 5th wheel RV like ours.
I've used Halo view for 2 years now on two different travel trailers with the side marker camera setup. First was 23ft no signal issues and newest trailers 36ft and without extended, crew cab truck with 5.5ft. box I've had no issues, now my monitor looks to me an older version but it does what I did it to do and for a fraction of the cost of furrion it's my recommendation to everyone! Great to see them getting some attention.
Wow! This hopefully is the product I’ve been waiting for. I have a 2021 Imagine with the Furrion backup camera…I was not pleased with the quality of images while driving considering the high cost. In 2022, i upgraded my GMC truck. To my surprise there is no 12volt accessory port. This was very surprising that GM would do this considering how many of us have accessories that use the port for powering these devices. I am not inclined to hardwire something to my vehicle so hearing that this camera powers up via usb is a game changer for me. This will definitely be on my list to buy. Our camping season is coming to an end soon so I will check back on your channel for any updates. Thanks Ross!
We have the BT7 and side cameras. Love it but had to get a different antenna for the back up camera for to work for us outside of our driveway 29 foot overall travel trailer and Ram 1500 crew cab 5'7" bed
I went with a version made by Erapta. They are Solar but can still be charged with USB and magnetic. I have 3 of them and none are hard mounted/wired... Here is why. This gives me the flexibility of moving my Cameras when needed. Many times I set up our TT up alone and need to have eyes in places I cannot normally see. People where amazed watching me back our TT onto ramps to gain 6" of height alone with precision. One Camera was watching from the side wheel so I knew where I was on the ramps. One watching my tire alignment as I went up on the ramp. The third was place ont the stop curb to ensure I wasn't going to hit my tanks or waste lines. It was epic having such abilities. As I drive, I have one in the typical high mounted rear watching almost straight down for backing. I have the other 2 on the bumpers watching right of ways for side lane changes knowing where all the cars are. I did have a problem when I only had the high centered rear Camera. Weirdly when I added the bumper Cameras it improved my range for the hight mounted Camera. Never lost signal after that. I tested this numerous times and they acted like signal relays somehow. I plan to ask Erapta about this finding. My point, many brands are super nice, and offer a lot more flexibility over the traditional Furrion hard mounted option. I did test the AutoVox like you had. I didn't like the bracket design and wanted something more flush. The Erapta checked that box. Our TT is aluminum siding (by design, not a fan of fiberglass, they delaminate too easily). So in order to mount my "magnetic" Cameras, I did have to install stainless steel plates just below the Furrion mount. I did it a little lower so I could adjust my view or grab the Camera to be used in another way. Also, you made a great point, I have left my Cameras on at night to watch the campsite. Where I have our 2nd RV, 5th wheel (boondocks, literally) I use them to ensure my safety with wild animals. Also having such flexibility I can use the same Cameras on my cargo trailer and truck bed for large loads.
I bought the Byte Tango BT7 Touch Plus 1080P Wireless Backup Camera and two side marker camera's. I enjoyed the high-quality pictures on all cameras as you did and the no lag signal worked well, but a couple of issues popped up. 1. When the turn signal on my truck was selected, the corresponding camera on the trailer would not "trigger" on. 2. The "scan" function was not working. I did a lot of troubleshooting and forwarded my issues/pictures/screenshots to Haloview tech support by email, (no phone number listed). It turns out that my unit needed a firmware update. After a few bumps downloading the firmware and installation instructions, I figured it out and it solved both problems. I do appreciate their help. I am posting this in the effort to help other owners who purchased this system and are having the same issues, there is a fix. Cheers!
I have a 2023 Grand Design Imagine with the Furrion camera fin on the rear, ready to have a camera installed. Will this Haloview camera fit in this setup?
Thank you, Ross. Good job! When I moved from a travel trailer to a fifth wheel and then to a longer fifth wheel, my Furrion rear camera was moved to each new coach. When I had motorhomes, my rear camera was backup only, which was a horrible decision on my part (but I didn't know any better). I want the rear camera on the whole time. Just like you, I want to see what's going on behind me. I want the monitor in the truck's cab to be as large as possible. The Haloview camera system you just reviewed has several features that are better than my Furrion system -- but will they hold up? We'll have to wait and see. I will stick with my Furrion for now. Thanks, again, Ross. Lou from Georgia.
I have the Haloview and it is good I have the first version of that camera yours has more features, I have a 32 foot trailer but my camera has a transmitter on the roof of my camper
Please add to your rear view camera reviews an example of what the video / image looks like at night. Most of these systems are worthless at night as the head lights of approaching traffic wash out the image and you can no longer see the traffic behind you. I watch so many reviews and they all seem to forget it has to work at night as well. Soooo, how does this one do at night? Does it auto adjust and allow you to still see all lanes of traffic?
Richard, I rarely tow at night but I will get some footage and add a link in the video description to what it looks like at night. Thanks for the heads up.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS thanks. I have a Class B+ and we use our system as a Rearview Mirror. We need to be able to use it at night as well. Look forward to seeing the footage. When I was hunting, I could not find any wireless systems that auto adjusted for the brightness of approaching traffic.
Very tempted to give this a shot. I would love to be able to have sight without the lovely bride saying, "Go that way" while on the cell phone to help me back in. (True story.) Thanks again for the honest reviews, Ross.
Regarding the dash mount adhesive failing, do you clean & treat your dash with any sort of vinyl preservative (e.g. ArmorAll, RainX, &c.), by any chance? The chemicals in that stuff will kill the adhesive power of even the strongest VHB tape in pretty short order. On the other hand, 3M does make their adhesive tapes and VHB tapes in an assortment of strengths, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that Haloview didn't use the strongest stuff on the market; the ultra-strength VHB tape from 3M is far from cheap! Looks like a great system, though, and if it wasn't total overkill for my teardrop I'd probably get one.
Hey Dave, I dont use any treatments on my dashboard. It is garage kept, so it may be in the sun for a total of maybe 6 weeks then entire year. It was cleaned well with alcohol prior to applying. I cant say if the previous owner used those treatments, but it doesnt look like they did, and it was cleaned pretty well anyway. I wonder if I hit it with a heat gun first? Thanks for the info on the tapes, interesting to know, I'm always learning.
One about dash mounted items, even with 3M tape. It depends on how you take care of your dash meaning what you use on it for cleaning, protective applications like Armor All type products could prevent the 3M tape from adhering properly and effectively.
absolutely... i only use water and some mild soap every once in a while to clean my dash. im on the fence about protectants for now, lol. if i do use something its going to be water based like this: amzn.to/3U3YKhm
I’m going to check this system out after seeing it offers side view cameras as well. I currently use the AMTIFO camera system and honestly can’t complain about it. I’ve had it for 1 year after the recommendation of a friend who’s now had his for 3 years. Furrion isn’t worth the expense to me.
I just installed an auto vox camera with my furrion ready system on a new trailer. Instructions that come with the camera are horrible. I didn’t think the camera was working but it does. The problem is, the camera only comes on when I’ve opened my door but turns off when the lights turn off after about 20 second or turns off when I start the vehicle. I hooked the red to red and black to black wires (furion adapter) maybe they need to be reversed?
I dont believe they do, but I am almost positive that it will cover the any holes left behind after removing the furrion bat wing, but I'm not 100% positive.
Great video, we had a Furrion that only lasted about 1 year, very poor quality, would never recommend one to anyone. I will have to add this to my list of wants. Thank you
Halowview, on comparable systems, is a little cheaper too. I'm surprised to see so many complaints about the Furrion systems... I figured at their price point they would be comparable.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS to be honest, I think the “pre wired for Furion” and the dealerships pushing tips people over to it. I know it did me. The side markers are clear and sharp (so it’s not the screen) - the rear is horrible. I always blamed it on distance, but your camper and truck are similar / longer than mine, so I’m not so sure about that now.
thats odd, since youve already got it, maybe reach, they might send you a new camera. sometimes moisture gets in them. either way, thanks for the input and for being a part of the channel!
i dont know of one at this time, i think this is something you will see in the future, especially now that they are linking cameras together on vehicles to do this... i wonder who will be the first to do it.
Have had the BT7 for 2 years. It's mounted on the back of our 35ft 5th wheel. We keep losing the signal. At first we noticed it would drop out when we drove by a Microwave antenna. I got in touch with them and they sent us a new camera. I even put the roof mount antenna that came with the system on the roof just forward of the camera. Still had that problem so they sent us the larger antenna. It worked for a very short time and now we get no signal to the monitor. Very fed up with this system. Not sure how to troubleshoot to determine if the camera is bad or if something else is causing a problem. Any help is appreciated.
I have that for my phone, but will need another mount for the screen... I'm thinking about doing that but seems to work well where it is for now. Thanks for watching!
I have been happy with my autovox. I do not have it on the whole time I'm traveling though, so I haven't run into battery issues like you. I will say that they have been a little pushy on giving them a 5 star review. I haven't had issues, but don't like the pushiness.
dashmounts on textured dashes: you need to alcohol the hell out of it to make sure theres no stupid shine products left or factory grease, and make sure the dash can stay room temp or else the dash being hot or getting hot will keep that adhesive too slimey to adhere.
agreed. i dont use treatments on my dash. the truck is garage kept out of the sun. ive installed hundreds of dash mounts when i owned my car audio store. the weight of the monitor i think was too heavy for this to work with my dash.
Well, by the looks of all comments, I might be the only one not happy with haloview products. 3 years ago, I got a rear camera and two side cameras, the side cameras have been good, but the rear would cut out alot and after about 9 months all I could get was colored lines on the screen. I called and they told me that I needed one with an extended antenna. So I ordered one, and it worked a little bit better, but it did cut out some. But then this summer just a little more than a year from the purchase date I hooked up to go on vacation and the rear camera was not working. Tried to redo the pairing but when I got up on top of my 42 foot 5th wheel The pairing button wouldn't work. So I will not be buying from haloview again.
haha, I know right? Its usually once a week, unless I get behind on my videos or we take a trip in the RV. Who knew these things were made for traveling and not just making videos lol!
which product is saying out of stock? is there any chance you can send me a screen shot of what you're seeing so I can find out what is going on? My email is management@rvtipsandtravels.com thank you so much.
I figured it out, it was the TH-cam links, not the Haloview links.. I removed them, please use instead the links in the video description. Thanks again for the heads up!
How does not being able to see if an ambulance is behind you have anything to do with towing? Would you feel differently if he used his back up camera to see behind him if someone you loved was in the ambulance? I bet you would. One could also say "learn how to properly secure items in your garage so you dont need a camera."
I have the Furrion system with cameras built into the side marker lights and a rearview camera on the back top of the trailer. The picture is horrible.
Money was my biggest concern I wasn't spending hundreds of dollars I bought one with compatibility to our trailer wiring and mounted to existing bracket
unfortunately you might need to go to an action cam for that... and it wont be compatible with a back up camera screen. at least I dont know of any system available like that.
I got started with the ridiculously overpriced Furrion system with rear and side mount cameras $800+. Within about 2 years a marker light went out and that was a pricey replacement. A year or so later the range of the unit just dropped to an unusable amount. Tried a second camera and the problem remained. So I moved on to a cheap Chinese camera off Amazon. It seemed ok until I started driving and the video became choppy and sometimes high latency which is a major no no. So I returned that system and bought a haloview. On my first trip it was clearly better in almost every way except range. The Furrion has better range and arguably a better picture aspect ratio (I could see my cargo rack before, not now). On my second trip, no changes made, the video on the haloview has gotten worse. Very choppy and drops out. My rig is a Ram megacab with a short bed and a 37ft 5th wheel, all within the 65ft range. So I've ordered the remote antenna which I really wanted to avoid. I really like their monitor, much better than the Furrion. I already had a ram mount on my dash which uses a ball type mount. I ordered a ball with a t slot mount and put it in the slot on the back of the monitor to mount it. It was tight so I had to slightly loosen the screws on the monitor to slide it in but then tightened them back down. Works great, looks good and it's one less thing in my field of view. The adjustable lines are nice and the ability to choose what views you want to see is also pretty awesome.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS we just took our first, short trip since installing the extension cable. While I didn't have any drop outs the video was blocky the entire time. The side cameras looked great. I mounted the extension antenna to the top of the front cap of our 5th wheel so I can't get much closer than that. I used the short antenna that came with the camera rather than the larger, 90 degree one that came with the extension kit. I'm pretty disappointed at this point.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS OK. All I know is I used your link and out of stock on most inventory. No big deal as Amazon has them if a person wanted to purchase.
I figured it out, it was the TH-cam links, not the Haloview links.. I removed them, please use instead the links in the video description. Thanks again for the heads up!
Well I have to disagree on this one. I have 3 cameras on a BT7 system. It worked really well for a few months. Then it started losing pairing on cameras. Climbing the ladder and re-pairing is a pain but now about every 20 minutes the screen freezes and I have to reboot to get it to work again, for another 20 minutes. Then it freezes again. Not a very safe scenario when on the highway at 65mph. It is really unusable and NO support or help from Haloview. I am not looking forward to buying and reinstalling a different brand but I can see so answer. Soooooo disappointed.
As mentioned in the video, I can't speak to the longevity just yet, but after a month no problems. I'm happy to help you get in touch with Haloview to get this figured out. email me at management@rvtipsandtravels.com let me know the steps youve taken so far to get answers as well in the email so i can reach out to my contact.
Haloview Cameras are junk they will stop working in couple months. I now 4 people including me that thru them in the garage the company is none existent for help. Don’t waist your money
Our videos are usually released months after the filming has been completed, and my camera still works. They have a 1 year warranty as well. If you threw your camera away during the warranty period, thats on you bud, not the company. If you truly have a warranty issue, I'm glad to help you get in contact with Haloview.

If you think a cheap system is going to do the same things as an advanced system, this video is for you. I removed my Autovox system because it stopped working after a year and decided to try one of the highest rated RV backup camera systems on the market: The Haloview BT7. This system comes with a 7 inch touchcreen, 1 rear mounted backup camera & all hardware. Many reviews say this is the best overall back up camera system on the market.

Thanks for the input Gloria!
Does it only record the camera or cameras that are on the monitor, or does it record all channels all the time if you turn it on?
i believe it only records whats on the screen, but i havent installed additional cameras yet so i cant say for sure.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS Thanks! I'm hoping @gloriatitch9889 will chime in as well, or someone else with multiple cameras.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
thanks for the input!
I have the Haloview BT7 and absolute love it. Nice clarity and detail.
thanks for the info!
I have a separate dash camera (Garmin) to record the front of the truck that is active 24/7 with bluetooth to my phone.
awesome mod my friend, i think I might be doing something similar on the new rig (march 2025). safe travels!
Just finished up installing ours. Picture quality is outstanding! Thanks Ross!
thanks Brian!
Overall it's a good system and I can't imagine driving without the rear camera.
thanks for the info!
I need to start doing it, thank for the nudge!
you're welcome, 256GB is the biggest you can go.
Thank you sir for the review.
youre welcome, keep me posted
What are thoughts on cameras that integrate into newer truck's "Infotainment System" (The touch screen that controls all your audio and multiple truck cameras, etc) ??
My thought was that I would want to use that. Do those suck or what? I'm kind of hesitant to have an additional screen.
🤔
i havent used one yet so i cant say, but they do seem convenient. everything is bluetooth so it should be fairly straight forward.
I just removed and gently discarded my original Furrion Vision S with the Haloview BT7 Touch. There is no comparison. The BT7 is far superior. Also, I installed the side cameras and was EZPZ. (The Furrion side cameras weren't as bad as the rear camera.)
Haloview BT7 Touch is a great product!
Thanks for the info Russ, I’m really tempted to do a side by side comparison in the spring. I’ve heard a few complaints about the camera/screen quality of the Furrion. All very similar to what you’re saying, even about the side cameras. Appreciate your feedback.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS I enjoy your videos and am looking forward to the camera shootout. 👍
I love watching your video's. Very educational. Where do I purchase the rubber and backing plate for my rear view camera that I'm going to purchase like the one in the video you made. Thanks what size also is the rubber and backing plate?

Just ordered up a 3 camera system. Thanks for the code! 👍
its not much but its the best they would give me. glad to help even if only a little.
I bought the Auto-vox wireless solar system with the license plate mount. Various issues forced me to return it, but customer service helped as much as they could and answered every email. They offered a discount on any other product I would like to purchase. I have been very pleased with their service so far, and will be installing their hard wired unit.
good to hear they are taking care of it!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have the antenna extension sitting in my garage. We are getting a longer trailer next year, if it is not needed, Ill send you the one I have.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS Nice, much appreciated
Haloview used to have a Screen mount that connected to your rearview mirror. This sounds like a good idea since you can't use the rearview mirror anyway. Especially with a 5th wheel RV like ours.
@@paulfromneohio1596 They still do. Check out the BT11 which I am thinking about!
@@paulfromneohio1596 some states don't allow anything to hang from the mirror
i thought about getting that as well.
Great to see them getting some attention.
nice, thanks for commenting!
Hey Ross, my rig is about 6 feet longer. I have the 5.5” screen, but signal is great while driving, since you asked.
Thanks for the info Edward.
Thanks Ross!
you bet!
We have the BT7 and side cameras. Love it but had to get a different antenna for the back up camera for to work for us outside of our driveway
29 foot overall travel trailer and Ram 1500 crew cab 5'7" bed
👍
Haloview also has solar cameras. thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing Roy! How was the firmware update applied? Do you have a link to the page?
I have a 2023 Grand Design Imagine with the Furrion camera fin on the rear, ready to have a camera installed. Will this Haloview camera fit in this setup?
Yes!
I dont believe so, but you can just remove the bat wing (couple screws) and install the Haloview camera. you wont need the plastic plate I used.
thanks for confirming Terry, I didnt have my old bat wing so theres no way for me to confirm.
Lou from Georgia.
thanks again Lou!
I have the Haloview and it is good I have the first version of that camera yours has more features, I have a 32 foot trailer but my camera has a transmitter on the roof of my camper
thanks for sharing Brian
(True story.) Thanks again for the honest reviews, Ross.
thanks again my friend.
i got one this summer as well, I have a 32 foot fifth wheel and it works great
Thanks for the info Anthony!
Great video Ross looks like a decent system I do not own a rear camera for the trailer but that one would be worth looking into 😊
👍
Furrion isn’t worth the expense to me.
as long as you have something that works for you, thats all that matters!
@@jackg7225 it's probably wired into your parking lights. Turn them on and see if it works.
as Shooter said, check to make sure there is power when the lights are off.
That's absolutely pretty awesome brother
thanks my man!
Will this camera mount to existing furion camera mount?
I dont believe they do, but I am almost positive that it will cover the any holes left behind after removing the furrion bat wing, but I'm not 100% positive.
Great video, we had a Furrion that only lasted about 1 year, very poor quality, would never recommend one to anyone. I will have to add this to my list of wants. Thank you
i was surprised to hear as many complaints about the Furrion system from this video. I figured for the price it was as good.
Excellent review
thank you!
Thanks for sharing this Ross!
My pleasure!
How well can you see the screen in full sun? My current camera screen washes out and is difficult to see.
its perfect in bright conditions. I actually found myself turning down the brightness during the day.
My Furrion has terrible image quality in the rear camera (good on the side cameras) - I think I need an upgrade! Love that it’s a DVR too
Halowview, on comparable systems, is a little cheaper too.
We don’t have a way to see all the way around our motorhome. Is there a 360 degree wireless system that you can recommend or review?
i dont know of one at this time, i think this is something you will see in the future, especially now that they are linking cameras together on vehicles to do this... i wonder who will be the first to do it.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS I’m guessing either Furrion or HaloView.
Have you checked the 12 volt power source for interruption? You might be losing power at the camera intermittently.
I took apart the connections and soldered them. Will see if that fixed the problem when we hit the road in two weeks. Thank you.
Well done, and thanks for not making this an unboxing video.
you bet
Nice monitor!
is this Drivin & Vibin?
Wow, why has it taken you so long to get on the Haloview wagon??? To attach to your dash get a Bulletpoint mounting system😳
I haven't had issues, but don't like the pushiness.
good to hear, thanks for the update Jon!
dashmounts on textured dashes: you need to alcohol the hell out of it to make sure theres no stupid shine products left or factory grease, and make sure the dash can stay room temp or else the dash being hot or getting hot will keep that adhesive too slimey to adhere.
agreed. i dont use treatments on my dash. the truck is garage kept out of the sun. ive installed hundreds of dash mounts when i owned my car audio store. the weight of the monitor i think was too heavy for this to work with my dash.
Nice system… ordering now.
Hope you enjoy it!
So I will not be buying from haloview again.
sorry to hear that, if you ever need help with a manufactuer let me know. if they are a partner of ours, i will get you answers.
Nice unit Nice vid.cut your grass more often you won't have windrow lol.
haha, I know right? Its usually once a week, unless I get behind on my videos or we take a trip in the RV. Who knew these things were made for traveling and not just making videos lol!
Yup. Using your links, It does say "out of stock."
which product is saying out of stock? is there any chance you can send me a screen shot of what you're seeing so I can find out what is going on? My email is management@rvtipsandtravels.com thank you so much.
I figured it out, it was the TH-cam links, not the Haloview links.. I removed them, please use instead the links in the video description. Thanks again for the heads up!
The best use of a camera is on the inside of a toy hauler to check load is secured. Otherwise just learn how to tow
How does not being able to see if an ambulance is behind you have anything to do with towing? Would you feel differently if he used his back up camera to see behind him if someone you loved was in the ambulance? I bet you would. One could also say "learn how to properly secure items in your garage so you dont need a camera."
👍

I always know what's behind me.
Pay attention. That ambulance didn't just come out of nowhere
I have the Furrion system with cameras built into the side marker lights and a rearview camera on the back top of the trailer. The picture is horrible.
Maybe it’s time to give the Haloview system a try?
Money was my biggest concern I wasn't spending hundreds of dollars
I bought one with compatibility to our trailer wiring and mounted to existing bracket
its definitely not for everybody.
Looking for a wireless 360 view camera for a class-a. None available.
unfortunately you might need to go to an action cam for that... and it wont be compatible with a back up camera screen. at least I dont know of any system available like that.
The adjustable lines are nice and the ability to choose what views you want to see is also pretty awesome.
thanks for the info Casey, is it working better with the antenna extension?
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS I don't have it yet, it's on order and I'm not sure when our next trip will be to test it.
keep me posted please.
Your review must have worked. They are sold out as of Sept. 2, 2024
I'm on their site now, the BT7 is showing in stock.
@@RVTIPSANDTRAVELS OK. All I know is I used your link and out of stock on most inventory. No big deal as Amazon has them if a person wanted to purchase.
thank you for using my link... I appreciate that. If you want to get on amazon, you can use this link. Thanks Dave. amzn.to/3X6cJnv

Haloview new product: th-cam.com/video/6fXzJF3sdGU/w-d-xo.html
saw that, i wonder what company they are using for their sensors.
God bless
same to you John
I want a camera in the back of my pickup truck so I can see my 5th wheel hooking up
you can do that with this system.

Haloview
Cameras are junk they will stop working in couple months.
