One more time, really great job and I must say you are natural when explaining. Best of luck in future work :) Chears
Hi Ire, Thanks for your awesome work, I agree completely with everyone, Your simplicity makes it looks so easy to understands. Can I use this at a team delivery level?
This is so helpful to me. I’m starting my new role as PM in Jan, having never “formerly” done it before so these are so so useful for me as real practical guides to help me set myself up! Quick question, how do your teams record actual time spent? Do they submit timesheets? Would recommend using something like clockify?
Hey! Love that and youve got this! So yes, all the organisations I’ve used have used timesheets . The organisation chooses the platform for the timesheets so I can’t recommend here (in my experience)
Hi, we are basically in the same situation where I have never "formally" done these before. I am preparing for an interview and fear these direct questions. Any advise as to how I can coin a response these direct questions such as preparation of schedule and budget etc?
I’d just research and have a very good theoretical knowledge of how things are done. Then mix that in with confidence that you’d be able to do it, even though you haven’t yet before
Your videos are great and you are super clear! I'm using them as an integration to an actual PM course that I'm taking, and you are helping me a lot with the assignments, thanks! :)
This is very helpful for me as I start my forma project management journey. Question. For the entire baseline, do you add the resource tab along with the FTC tab for the entire baseline?
Thank you! However I’ve been trying to produce a replica of the Project Budget template on Excel both for the Resource and NRS and it’s been kinda difficult trying to format the sheet, how do I go about this 🙏🏻
This made a whole lot of sense. Would you be doing anything on Risks in managing Projects anytime soon, it will be great to learn this from your wealth of experience? You do know how to break down PM in simple ways. Keep them coming please. Thanks for sharing
Thank you 🤗 yeah I will be doing a break down on RAID in part 3… I donno about sometime soon 😅 as I’m super busy right now. And it takes time to prep. But hopefully I’ll have it out in a month or so
Hey Ire! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Could you please also advise on how costs are build? Based on what factors you decide what's gonna be the cost per role. It's clear that role depends on skills of engineer, but it's very interesting how you cone up with price. Looking forward to hear from you, thanks in advsnce!
Hey and no worries! I’m actually working on a course that goes in to more detail about actually day to day project management and practically how to do things. So I won’t be putting out a video on the above. As it will be covered in that course. Make sure you look out for it🎉

Thank you! :) and there’s nothing really I can say on studying for Prince2 really. I did mine in a week extensive course so it wasn’t really self learnt , and I got lots of tips from the Instructor. Plus I did it like 4 years ago haha. Sorry I can’t be more helpful in that regard
Hey Ire, thank you for this! It makes the practical side of project management really accessible. I have one question - is the assumption that this is the only project the employees are working on (for the sake of the example)? E.g. Engineer 1 spent 100% of their time on the project, so I’m guessing that is 100% of their total time of their work (they’re not working on anything else apart from this one project). Asking this cos my time at work is usually split between different projects so just would like some clarification 😅 in real life, I’m guessing this percentages will be much lower right? thank you!
Hiya there! And no probs! To answer your question. Yes! I just wanted to keep it simple. So for example as a PM If you only spend 50% on this project 25% on another and 25% on another. That’s totally cool. You would only budget for 50% of your time on this project. :)
Great video. I have a question. If my budget is 30k, is it correct my cost baseline will be lower say like 27k pr will it be more? Kindly explain. Thanks
No your baseline is just the figure you have said it will cost to complete the project, at the start of the project. So in your last it may be 30k or 27k how much it will cost
I am currently studying a master's in project management. Can I apply project management tools to enter the field of e-commerce or entrepreneurship in general?
Hey Ire, I have a question for you. I m a beginner who just graduated. Also, I have never worked before. Which job role should I select to enter in Project Management?
Hey you have a few options, my biggest advice is to try and find a graduate project management role. As they will train you from the ground up. It is by far the fastest route into project management. Check out my video on graduate roles for more info. Alternatively , try applying for trainee project manager, project coordinator and junior project management roles x
Hey it is NRE as NRE encompasses all costs required for the duration of the project. It’s one off in regards that it will not be recurring spend once the project is complete
Now I need to watch your forecasting video if I can find it - then I have to go for my 45 min prayer walk - then I can get on with the rest of my day. 😀
@@m77ast lol! So actually I’ve decided to put the forecasting video into the course I’m creating for new PMs. I realised there’s a lot of intricate tips and the principles are actually simple. I’m thinking of getting into project management. I’m 24, have an MBA, and will have a PMP when I start applying for jobs. Does anyone know what a starting salary should be for these qualifications?
Hey. Sorry not really familiar. I think it kinda depends on the company. In the UK for project management I don’t think there is like a fixed starting salary because you have more qualifications although they are attractive to help you get recognised buy recruiters . I don’t think it will make you get paid more. They care more about what you can do than your qualifications . In the US I’ve been told that having PMP will make you eligible for higher paid roles however. But once again that’s because you would have already had experience working on projects to even get the cert
How do you know the process of each project? Example: 1. Development models (design), 2. Packaging Testing, 3. Packaging. Is this information that is provided to you? Or do you know this through experience?
Learned through experience. But everyone has a day 1 right? So if this is your first project of a certain sort yyou’ll need to talk to the main stakeholders in your organisation to understand how projects are usually ran. And if there is no process, Then look at the requirements and come up with a way to ensure that all requirements are met
Usually the organisation you join will have a template; and tbh most of them are very similar and along the same lines of what I have shown. But it’s always good to understand how budgeting works in general so you can tweek your companies template to work for you :)
The way you break these things down is mind blowing. Well done Ire.
