    This is so helpful to me. I’m starting my new role as PM in Jan, having never “formerly” done it before so these are so so useful for me as real practical guides to help me set myself up! Quick question, how do your teams record actual time spent? Do they submit timesheets? Would recommend using something like clockify?

    • @pitolinmotion
      @pitolinmotion  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Love that and youve got this! So yes, all the organisations I’ve used have used timesheets . The organisation chooses the platform for the timesheets so I can’t recommend here (in my experience)

    Hey Ire, thank you for this! It makes the practical side of project management really accessible.
    I have one question - is the assumption that this is the only project the employees are working on (for the sake of the example)? E.g. Engineer 1 spent 100% of their time on the project, so I’m guessing that is 100% of their total time of their work (they’re not working on anything else apart from this one project).
    Asking this cos my time at work is usually split between different projects so just would like some clarification 😅 in real life, I’m guessing this percentages will be much lower right? thank you!

    • @pitolinmotion
      @pitolinmotion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya there! And no probs! To answer your question. Yes! I just wanted to keep it simple. So for example as a PM If you only spend 50% on this project 25% on another and 25% on another. That’s totally cool. You would only budget for 50% of your time on this project. :)

    • @pitolinmotion
      @pitolinmotion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. Sorry not really familiar. I think it kinda depends on the company. In the UK for project management I don’t think there is like a fixed starting salary because you have more qualifications although they are attractive to help you get recognised buy recruiters . I don’t think it will make you get paid more. They care more about what you can do than your qualifications . In the US I’ve been told that having PMP will make you eligible for higher paid roles however. But once again that’s because you would have already had experience working on projects to even get the cert

      Learned through experience. But everyone has a day 1 right? So if this is your first project of a certain sort yyou’ll need to talk to the main stakeholders in your organisation to understand how projects are usually ran. And if there is no process, Then look at the requirements and come up with a way to ensure that all requirements are met
