So hypothetical, for a 5 hit np if 3 hits are required for killing then wont the total number of overkill hits might also be greater than 3? (Any prior hit that took away more than half of remaining health) Refering to mushashi bug in fgo. In the kuro example given: for 6 hit overkill the first 4% should take away more than 50% of recent hp not KILL IT for triggering 6hits of overkill. After the first hit for 5 hits of overkill the 9% hit should take away more than 50% of remaining hp and so on.
