Lincoln can be made to respond to discipline. Put him in the corner or take away things that he likes. He’ll learn that being naughty will cost him his fun time. He’s getting treated to much like a baby.
Was that Lincoln crying in the background while you were cleaning up the crumbs? I think people missed that... I see so many comments saying you should have disciplined him. Sometimes doing anything while angry isn't the option, I think she Bonnie handled this perfectly. She talked out her frustrations and then turned off the camera and dealt with it. I imagine it was him in time out crying while she was wiping up the crumbs. All children are different. It makes parenting so stressful for sure. You are doing great Bonnie.
Lincoln doesn’t respond to discipline because you always laugh when he does something bad so to Lincoln he does it because he doesn’t take you seriously. You have disciplined him right then and there. Not talk about it to the camera. That could have been done after putting him in the corner. Quit laughing every time he does something bad.
Bonnie, you know yourself each child is different. We use the tools we have to discipline. Work on Lincoln's week spot and either take away or make him do something he absolutely hates. You know you'll get the tantrums either way but your kids know not to press your buttons and its time little man learnt the hard way.
Guys you all need to stop criticizing her on how she disciplines her own children(key word: own). You have now right to tell her what to do with her own kids. I love you so much Bonnie!🥰❤️
Okay I debated commenting but I’m genuinely curious. Is that a typical lunch for your kids, those portion sizes? Just wondering because it seems so tiny! My 14 month old usually eats double that for lunch, so I can’t imagine someone older like Olivia not starving, haha! Maybe they have gotten used to it, or maybe I was just spoiled with my food growing up, but I just wanna give those kiddos something more, haha! Maybe some nice whole grain bread with the tuna, and a yogurt or some crackers or carrots on the side.
Someone made a comment like this on one of Ruby’s videos recently. In America we are very overded and undernourished. If her kids are getting the nourishment they need their bodies will respond to feeling full faster. I actually love that she didn’t give them grains with a meal, because even whole grains in America are still refined and processed. I just got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes and watched a Ted Talk by an obesity doctor about how extremely limiting it erradicating grains/carbs will reverse Type 2 diabetes, because if you take away the problem the symptoms will disappear. It was amazing. Anyway, we get a lot of misinformation from the government on nutrition which can be frustrating and we already have skewed views of what healthy portions are in america as it is. I was studying to be a nutritionist and after interviewing certified nutritionists for a project I just threw out that plan, because it’s such a government agenda led field. I’m all about research and love it and love me some grains, so am convinced there is a way to get around the whole grains problem (natural yeast breads maybe? Still finding research), but anyway, I guess my point is that their portion sizes aren’t insanely small if they are well nourished (and also sometimes I feed my kids smaller portions to begin with and just give them another small portion if they are still hungry to prevent waste... my kids eat a lot more in the morning and then their eating tapers off throughout the day). Just a million thoughts! Sorry! Take them or leave them. 🙂 I’m not trying to be obnoxious, it’s just clearly been on my mind A LOT this week (especially because I love carbs so much 😭😭😭).
My son feeding therapist said kids are over eating and parents don't even know they're over feeding them. Most make the kids eat everything on off the plates. I was thinking I was under feeding him but nope its best to teach them to eat small size and add when not full. Than to have them eat very big meal and not be able to stop when full because they was told to clean their plates.
"You get what you get, & you don't throw a fit!" I learned this from y'all and I swear even as an adult I have to remind myself of that sometimes! Lol! Especially on payday 😫😂🤣😝🤭
My favorite way for tuna is to mix it up with pickle relish, salad dressing, onion and shredded cheddar then put between bread and toast it in the frying pan. So good!
Oh man I would've lost my mind over that cake. I've never understood how some of the extended Griffiths family lets the kids stick their fingers and tongues in the finished cake, that never would've flown in my family. This is terrible I feel bad for Bonnie!
Thank you Bonnie for sharing and putting your life on youtube. You are doing great and don't listen to all the negative. I don't see them on youtube. Every mom knows what is best for their kids.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Joel 🎂🍨. I hope your day is a good one and that your visit with your dad helps him get through all this. So nice that you and your brothers are going to spend time with him and help him out.
If I were you , Bonnie I would just fill the hole in the cake up with icing and give that price to whoever likes the most icing !!!! Love y’all!! Happy Birthday Joel!!! 🎂🎂🧁🧁
I love tuna! And I am right there with you...my first born (2.5 yrs) is a tough cookie. We are struggling to find the right discipline strategy for him. I’ll keep you both in my prayers & pray for guidance as I do for my husband and myself. Parenting is hard, but you are doing great! Lots of love ❤️
No lying while watching I all the sudden had a craving for tuna salad. About a minute later you announced the snack. YUM! Gonna have to go get a snack now. Love you guys!
@Bonnie Hoellein - Isn't it amazing how many parenting experts and people who can see the parts of your life that you DON'T vlog, watch your videos and comment, Bonnie!? It must be fantastic to have all this advice from total strangers who see 10 minutes of your day and know exactly what's right and wrong about how you live your life, parent your kids and run your businesses? Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I just watch, enjoy what I see, give benefit of the doubt for things I know nothing about and enjoy seeing your family grow and play together.I apologize for my shortcomings 😘 xoxox Heather🇨🇦
Every child is different. Lincoln may need more stern discipline. It may also help for the family/siblings to not think that his “mischievous behavior” is humorous... I think that’s why he continues to get into “trouble”... We have a little 3 year old red headed prankster in our family!! 😂
RootingForYou .... and we shouldn’t. It’s PRIVATE... I’m sure Bonnie & Joel handled it off camera.... as they should. He just may need a different “style” of discipline than their first 3 children. I think most parents are “guilty” of allowing the baby in the family to get away with more. That’s usually why the youngest is more mischievous. 🙂
I’m so sorry Bonnie but I died laughing when you said “and contrary to popular belief I do discipline my children” 😂😂 You have some great kids that do kid things! You guys are the best!!!
Bonnie, Lincoln will respond to discipline as he gets a little older. You have a great family, all your kids are polite, respectful and they love each other. You and Joel are the example your kids watch and learn from. Lincoln will also emulate his behavior from his siblings as well. Don’t stress, keep doing what you are doing even if you think he doesn’t respond. Have faith in your parenting, you are amazing.
Aww Bonnie!! I’m so sorry about your poor cake; it’s the worst when all you want to do is bake something yummy for your other half, and then things continuously go wrong!!! 😭💔 It looks GREAT now it’s done, so I think you can still feel proud of yourself for salvaging it!!! Lots of love 😘🙏🏻💕
I am so sorry this happened Bonnie- I would have felt the same way! I remember when the dog ate half of the anniversary cake I made for my Mom and Dad. So upsetting! Seeing the kids get the beaters warms my ❤️- My Mom would give out beaters, a spoon and the bowl. Not sure what she would have done if there were 5 of us........ Get some rest!
Poor Boston. If ya don't like a certain foods you shouldnt have to eat it. My son, when he was 5 yrs old now 36 yrs old, went to daycare one day and they just so happens to have coleslaw. That child held it in his mouth for 4 hours bc he refused to swallow it. He wasn't allowed to spit it out. I was a bit mad.
Happy birthday Joel!! Hope.your mom and dad feel better and find their truck okay. I feel that frustration Bonnie. Kids are why we can't have nice things lol ( I am kidding)
Oh Bonnie!!! You had such good intentions to do something so loving for your hubby!!! I feel why you were so sad! I’m sure you were so upset that day . One day you’ll look back on lil Lincoln’s cake bandit incident and laugh hysterically. He’s such a character and with your great parenting he will get it and it will click soon!!! He’s just a curious FUN guy!
Awww I would be frustrated too! 😕 And for those of you giving your unsolicited advice, you can clearly hear Lincoln whinning in the background after that clip so I'm sure she dealt with it. Also, she has 4 kids so I think she's familiar with the "every kid is different" speech.. hahah
Bonnie it looked like you maybe used qtips to clean up the platter after you frosted the cake? so I thought Id share a trick my mom taught me. Put strips of parchment paper under the edges of the cake and out to the edge of the platter. Then when you are done frosting it you can pull the parchment paper out and you will have a nice clean platter!
Oh Bonnie I feel your pain. I have a 2 and 4 year old that frustrate me to no end because they don’t respond to any type of punishment. I’ve tried everything. Positive reinforcement, time outs, stern voice, flat out freak outs. I just tell myself this phase shall pass. Otherwise I’ll go insane.
When you told him to get upstairs rather then continuing to vlog, you should have turned the camera off he should have been in his bedroom in time out. Sorry but at serious stuff all the kids see you do is laugh so how can they take you seriously.
I saw the Q-tips and am assuming you used the to wipe the frosting off the tray - So i thought I would share the best life hack my mom taught me! When you're putting the cake on the tray before you ice it, rip up strips of wax or parchment paper and stick them under the edges all around the cake, then after you ice it, just pull them out and it leaves no mess and it saves SO much time and frustration!! Love your channel so much, watch ya everyday! Hope this comment is helpful and you are able to see it!
Cody, When your mom was cutting your hair and your face was so close, you looked like a little bunny rabbit with your teeth stuck on your lower lip. I think you were doing it on purpose and you did make me laugh. Love the freckles on your nose too. You are one very handsome guy.
I too have a feral child who doesnt respond to ANY type of discipline. Hes my middle child and my only boy. Hes 4 and WILD. No amount of time out, extra chores, pops or a stern voice even phase him. I'm constantly redirecting and cleaning up his disasters moments after I clean his "habitat "😂
NO! I bought and read that book it's terrible throw it away. It tells you to spank your child and if they continue crying spank harder until they stop. It's an abusive awful book. I'm a Christian but I strongly disagree with that book. That man Dobson is WRONG. It's not the way we should discipline. The only tip was to beat. Thankfully I lost that book when we moved if I find it I'm throwing it away! Thought it was going to give me good tips but abusive ones. Also tells you to PINCH your child if your child isn't listening.
Lincoln Roy you silly boy, maybe make another one and hide it from Lincoln !!! Try the time out technique leave him in the corner of a room and tell don’t get out until time is up. if he leaves send him back to the corner until he knows his place! Be consistent to make sure he knows the message, watch Super Nanny she uses this technique and it has helped families and there’s even a calm down room too watch both and see which one works for him.
Honestly Bonnie I have the same problem with my son. I try so hard and he isn’t faved by anything. His character is so strong. I’m like what the heck can I do !!!!
Each child has a different personality and has a different way that they need to be parented different. I’m sure there is plenty of parenting/discipline that we don’t see on the vlogs.
She said she does discipline all her children but Lincoin doesn't seem to respond to it, which is normal for some children and even adults. I know I didn't respond to discipline very well, in fact it'd often backfire, usually the opposite works better, rewarding the good but totally ignoring the bad, so they get the feeling that when their well behaved they get the right kind of attention, and receive none when their not on their best behaviour etc.
First of all, i feel like ever since Bonnies surgery AND starting Bollie she has really changed. Im not saying its a bad thing but i do miss the old vlogs that were actually vlogs not just 10 minutes of the kids eating lunch..... i really do miss actually seeing what they get up to in a day....i feel like now all Bonnie thinks about is the fake nails, hair extensions, eyelash extensions ect. i dont want to say it but i do feel like you have become a little fake over the last 6 months. And i partly do feel like the whole reason why Lincoln isn't listening is cause you just brush it off and let him get away with it. I just miss the old Bonnie.
@@LM-mr3fd okay well i shouldn't have used that word then cause im not someone who disagrees with cosmetic-related things however, there isnt another word that i can describe what im seeing... i think what i was more trying to say was that the vlogs are changing and they aren't the same as they used to be and i feel like that has been because of the Bollie brand .
Soph L I agree with what you said and I totally understand what you mean about her changing too. She used to be more humble and relatable and now she is so showy flashy I’m so great in every vlog. Maybe it’s new found confidence ( that she bought) but it’s coming across IMO as conceded. As if she things she is God’s gift because of her body.....it’s kinda sad honestly. Her and Ellie have their entire lives to hustle their brand but the children are only in the house for a limited time and that is what bugs me is that instead of being there for the kids 100% she leans on Bre wayyyy too much to take care of the kids .
7:41 Why the hair in the bathtub look brown when all the kids and Joel have blond hair? (I am colourblind, so maybe the hair in the bathtub look more blond to normal people 😕)
I watched the episode of Cody getting his hair cut. So cute when you said say your name out loud! “What’s your name?” (Bonnie) “CODY CLARK” (Cody) Loud and Clear!
Bonnie have you tried setting up a good behavior chart, reward, etc. for Lincoln. If discipline isnt changing things right now maybe focusing on giving lots of positive reinforcement would help.
I grew up with tuna noodle casserole as a regular meal but I have never bought tuna for myself when grocery shopping on my own. Hubby and I don't eat it at all.
Here is one tip for you when Linchon got into the cake there was crumbs all over the floor so too should have had him clean up the mess to see how he has to clean up after himself. Do you get what I am saying? You are a good parent and remember when you told Cody about how life isn't fair and you just have to keep going.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙂🙂🙂🙂😉😉😉😉😉😉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Lincoln can be made to respond to discipline. Put him in the corner or take away things that he likes. He’ll learn that being naughty will cost him his fun time. He’s getting treated to much like a baby.
I feel your frustration. Joel seems so thankful and understanding that you loved him enough to do that and it wasn’t your fault it got messed up
awww cody trying to make bonnie feel better is absolutely adorable !!!
Olivia : look at that booty shaking.......whahahahah Olivia is just a mini Bonnie!
Lynn Ost she is a mini Bonnie I thought she was Bonnie until she showed herself in the mirror
You always laugh when he in trouble I wouldn't listen either he think you're joking with him
Was that Lincoln crying in the background while you were cleaning up the crumbs? I think people missed that... I see so many comments saying you should have disciplined him. Bonnie, your videos are raw, honest and relatable.. that’s why I love them so much x🙌🏻
Boston was so confused 😂 he oppened his mouth and was like 'äaahhh??'😂😂
My favorite way for tuna is to mix it up with pickle relish, salad dressing, onion and shredded cheddar then put between bread and toast it in the frying pan. So good!
The cake just has character! Looks great Bonnie! Happy birthday Joel!

I can’t believe how calm you are about the cake. I would be screaming my head off. Lol 😂
The cake looks perfect! I love how Boston and Cody were thinking of ways to fix the cake :) your kids love you so much!
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Joel 🎂🍨. I hope your day is a good one and that your visit with your dad helps him get through all this. So nice that you and your brothers are going to spend time with him and help him out.

I understand the frustration about a child not responding to discipline!!! Going through the same struggles.....prayers for you friend!
You are a great mom! Lincoln is the baby and he is just being a kid. I think your cake looked amazing!! Btw Happy Belated birthday Joel.

BEAUTIFUL cake Bonnie. Happy birthday Joel.
Lots of love to you Bonnie, hope Lincoln starts listening soon, x
Bonnie you handled the Lincoln Cake issue well. Because I would have yelled. I'm sooooo sure 😂
Older siblings have one idea how much it means to us young siblings when y’all play with us. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.
Happy birthday Joel, hope you enjoy your day too the fullest you deserve it!!!!
The cake turned out so pretty Bonnie, don‘t you worry 🎂❤️
Boston is the cutest! I loved that little haircut scene. Melts my heart 😩❤️
You guys are the best! Every morning while I get ready for school I watch your vlogs and I love it! I love your family!
I know it isn't right but Lincoln getting into that cake is funny and it's something you'll look back on one day and laugh about!
Where is the 1 of the month bloopers love you all I just need a good laugh at the beginning of the month
My daughter n I live in Vegas...it's insane out here especially a trap for tourist. I'm sorry that happened to your dad.
Cody always reminds me of a character off The little rascalz! What a cutie!
When Joel was recording Bonnie in the bathroom I legit thought she didn't have pants on for a second 😂😂😂 and I hate tuna.
Happy birthday Joel!! Hope.your mom and dad feel better and find their truck okay. I feel that frustration Bonnie. Kids are why we can't have nice things lol ( I am kidding)
On the plus side, while you were super upset cleaning up the cake trail, your floors look beautiful :)
I need a friend who hypes me up the way olivia hypes lincoln up😂❤️
Awww I would be frustrated too! 😕 And for those of you giving your unsolicited advice, you can clearly hear Lincoln whinning in the background after that clip so I'm sure she dealt with it. Also, she has 4 kids so I think she's familiar with the "every kid is different" speech.. hahah
Oh, do I feel you! My youngest doesn’t respond to discipline either. It’s beyond frustrating! And I just end up crying a lot of days. Poor Bon.
"I would not wanna have my birthday if you weren't my mom" why is Boston so cute?! Even if he was crawling to lick the chocolate 😂
My middle child did that too. Who takes a chuck out of cake that doesn’t have icing? Lol🤣
Bonnie and Joel I just love the kids so cute! Bonnie your looking fabulous 😁
“Mom will you be mad when I wake up you” ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
What were the Q-tips for at the end? Lol just wondering 😂 the cake came out beautiful!!! Happy birthday Joel!
No, to the tuna...yuckola....that's cat food!
Aww Bonnie I had tears in my eyes about the cakes. Xx
I love tuna fish! Tuna and mac and cheese has been my favorite college meal so far!!! Hahaha
Bonnie you are not alone! My niece doesn’t listen when we discipline her too. She ignores us and keeps doing it.
When you told him to get upstairs rather then continuing to vlog, you should have turned the camera off he should have been in his bedroom in time out. Sorry but at serious stuff all the kids see you do is laugh so how can they take you seriously.

One day those little handprints will just be a distant memory. He is little still, he will learn. Make the print a part of the dad-cake :)
All but one of my children and I love Tuna!!! Not to mention other fish as well...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEL!!! I like tuna on Ritz crackers.
I love tuna salad!! Tuna, mayo, black pepper, and dill relish! YUMM!
Bonnie check out Dr. Dobson book on HOW TO RAISE A STRONG WILL CHILD!!!!
NO! I bought and read that book it's terrible throw it away. It tells you to spank your child and if they continue crying spank harder until they stop. It's an abusive awful book. Why does Lincoln not get displine but the others do?
Caitlin Cooper parenting is different, I’m sure they do off camera due to TH-cam rules

I know I didn't respond to discipline very well, in fact it'd often backfire, usually the opposite works better, rewarding the good but totally ignoring the bad, so they get the feeling that when their well behaved they get the right kind of attention, and receive none when their not on their best behaviour etc.
Caitlin Cooper I’ve seen Lincoln in a corner a time or two
You can hear Lincoln whinging in the background at the end, he did get displined.
Boston was sweet trying to come up with ways to salvage the cake
7:41 Why the hair in the bathtub look brown when all the kids and Joel have blond hair?
(I am colourblind, so maybe the hair in the bathtub look more blond to normal people 😕)
I watched the episode of Cody getting his hair cut. So cute when you said say your name out loud!
“What’s your name?” (Bonnie)
“CODY CLARK” (Cody) Loud and Clear!
Happy Happy Birthday JOEL! 🎂🎈🎂
Omg my favorite cake is yellow with chocolate frosting! Great choice Joel
Ugh I feel so bad I feel you Bonnie I have that one child who acts just like lil Lincoln lmao I’ll pray for you xxx😂😂😂😂😂😂🌋
Bonnie have you tried setting up a good behavior chart, reward, etc. for Lincoln. If discipline isnt changing things right now maybe focusing on giving lots of positive reinforcement would help.
Oh Bonnie, I have 4 kids too, my third is a few weeks younger than Lincoln and she is the SAME way! It’s so frustrating! ❤️
You are a good parent and remember when you told Cody about how life isn't fair and you just have to keep going.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙂🙂🙂🙂😉😉😉😉😉😉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
lincoln is always in trouble ahd boston is always in the corner himself funny
That cake looks so good Bonnie!
Man Cody is just the handsomest boy ever!
It’s my Birthday 🎂 too! Happy Birthday 🎂🎁🎊🎈 Joel.
