I love the little advice convo at the end! I’m 18 and in a household full of tension and conflict, my parents and my family dynamic are the complete opposite of your marriage and lifestyle! Probably wondering why I’m so young and watching your channel, one day I saw your channel and was so intrigued to see how different the dynamic is, I loved and still love watching how you talk to your kids, teach them and best of all, have fun and the connection you have. Although I didn’t grow up in the best environment, I’m very grateful to have seen some healthy families (like yours and many others on YT) and take some advice and the pure things you do + hopefully put those traits into my future fam!! 🧡 love y’all
I love your little chat about respecting your parents ! Sometimes it is hard to remember in the moment but it is so important to be mindful of this. Thank you for the reminder, I am 25 and still need that little heads up now and again. I love when you give advice! And I LOVE Lincoln’s hair cut it suits him so much, I see him as a little surfer/snowboarder dude 🤙🏼 xoxo love you all!!!
Bonnie, your words about child and parent relationships, you can't even begin to imagine how much I need to hear that. Thank you so much! Toxic people, including parents sadly, create toxic in others lives they associate with.
I don't usually comment but today when I saw the title I was a little sad because I love lincoln's long hair, it's fit him perfectly like you said Bonnie. But after seeing his new haircut, I love it even more. He's looking much older now.
Yeah I'm glad I wasn't the only one. The comment section made it seem like most people didn't agree with me. But I should know by now that comment sections are like customer service. Mostly the complainers comment.
I left my son's hair long and wavy for over 2 years (just my personal story) people commenting things like it's time to cut it and the thought of cutting off his curls was devastating to me. When I did finally cut his hair, I said to myself..why did I wait so long lol I look back at pictures and giggle to myself. He's your little love, you do whatever you'd like with that smart and fancy little guy!
Omg Lincoln’s hair looks amazing + adorable, btw the little messages that you gave at the end of the vlog is very helpful, I will now treat my parent with kind 💋❤️💕💗
Aww this is adorable!! Lincoln is always so sweet and funny! He is always doing something cute! You have raised such wonderful, lovely children, and that's why I love your channel. The kiddos are just so nice and respectful to each other, and other people. Bless your beautiful family♥️♥️
I agree Bonnie! There is very rarely (if ever) a good excuse or reason to be rude. It doesn’t matter how someone else treats you but you choose how you respond! You can defend yourself but rude responses always perpetuate the negativity and make you look bad! Good advice!
Sorry if you don't want the honest truth from people I mean you put your life out on TH-cam people are going to make opinions and say things sorry you don't like them. I'm not changing what it said I'm not the only one who has said Lincoln gets away with so much stuff. The other kids you go so rigid on them and yet with linked in your life you can do whatever he wants and yada yada yada but no he should be held to expectations of a three-and-a-half-year-old
His new haircut is so perfect!! I know just how you feel! He has his own personality and his hair style should reflect that. This cleans it up a little but not too much. Love it!
I love that Lincoln said “I’m a fancy little man” lol he is so dang cute and his haircut is precious. I love your little reminder about to talking to your elders and parents. Thank you for this talk and reminder!
I just gave the very speech to my niece this weekend! We always should choose to be respectful...even when people don’t deserve it. Being respectful says so much about your character.
Olivia looks so much older in this video!😕 Kids grow up way to fast! I love the talk about respecting your parents , it's so important! Also I made that same soup 2 nights ago! We love it!
OMG Bonnie, those boots are so adorable. I have been looking for some winter boots for a while and nothing catches my eye. I’m going to Chicago and Boston soon. I ended up purchasing these cuties but in black! Thank you thank you! I live in Los Angeles and I’ve never owned any rain boots but now they’ll come in handy whenever it rains here and I can happily step in puddles YAY!
I can’t get over how much Lincoln looks like bonnie when she was his age he’s so cute your children are so polite and kind. I make sure mines the same way x
Boston’s hair looks great! I always loved his longer hair. You’re so right when you said it suits him. The new style suits him just as well!! My kids come home and hide after school too! They need to decompress and just be quite for a while. Makes me sad some days too because I miss them!!! But they’re usually much nicer after the down time.
I wholeheartedly but respectfully disagree with your respect speech. Respect is something you earn, not demand. I would never demand that my kids respect me simply because I'm their parent. I WANT to earn their respect by really hearing them, giving them my undivided attention when they need it, validating their feelings even when they aren't sure what exactly they're feeling. My step-father was physically and emotionally abusive. He didn't have my respect and he didn't deserve my respect. I wasn't going to give him that honor and attention simply because he was my "parent" and to expect a child to do so, in my eyes, is unhealthy and unfair. I want my children to be independent and strong and be able to stand up for themselves when they feel disrespected, even (maybe especially) if that person is a person of authority. Having basic manners and a controlled temper are different than respect to me. You can be polite and still not have respect for someone.
@AsHLiegH-MaRie HoPe That was a little of my point. She said you don't talk to them when you move out but what about when you're too young to move out? No one should be forced to respect anyone ESPECIALLY if you can't get away from the situation. You can't say "if it's toxic don't talk to them when you move out" and then say "I don't mean people who treat their kids badly". They're the same thing.
I think she was meaning that if you’re in a relationship with a parent who respects and loves you then you should respect them back but I’m sure she didn’t mean to make it sound like that, but we should respect others who respect us
Rikki Hoover I think it depends on what era you were born in and what morals your family taught you because we were ALWAYS taught to respect our elders and that included mum and dad. They brought you into this world, they are there for you always and they nurture you and teach you and as long as you are living in their home you need to respect them because let’s face it they have been on this earth longer than you. Their rules or/and teachings are to keep you safe and it is even in the Bible. Now saying that if you are abused by one or both of them that’s another story and you need to go to the other parent to let them know and if they don’t put a stop to it then you have every right to seek professional help.
Jessica Gonzales that’s not what she said though. She said (paraphrasing) that if it’s toxic don’t talk to them when you leave but up until that point respect them. To that I say no. My respect is MINE to give out as I see fit. No one demands/deserves it simply because they birthed me and/or are older than me.
I fully agree with you. Respecting those who respect you is a much healthier way of doing things instead of feeling the need to respect somebody just because of who they are.
Oh my goodness! Lincoln does the same thing my 4 year old daughter does every morning. She’s been doing it forever and sometimes sings it. Makes me smile.
Ahhhhh Lincoln hair looks soo good!!!! I had a really hard time cutting both my boys hair so I totally understand why your not cutting it all off. Your a good mama and you know what’s best. 💋
I love that you only trimmed Lincoln's hair a bit and didn't chop it all off! The shorter look suits Cody and Boston perfectly, but I think it wouldn't work for Lincoln just yet - the longer hair suits HIM perfectly! What a handsome little fella!
Why am i in tears .... omg Mr Linc ur growing up so fast . And he sat like a big boy .. Bon he is gonna break ur heart when he goes to school , i can see it now he will be ready before them all .
Lincoln had so much to tell Joel when he got home. I kept my boys hair like that until he was almost 4, then we cut it real short... it changed his whole look... not bad though just a change... he is a mixed baby though...
I haven't been watching your videos for a bit and now I get to binge on watching them all from last month and holy moly bonnie !!! YOU LOOK GREAT !!!! like wow !!! also Olivia looks so much older and your boys..... THEY ALL LOOK SO OLDER ! yes keep Lincolns hair like that its suits him SOOOOOO well.
WOW THATS SO CUTE! I love it! I love that you’re a stylist but you’re not opposed to getting his hair cut by someone else! Coming from another stylist I appreciate that about you!
i really liked it when you spoke about the way you talk to your parents it sounded so simple when you put it that way and also when you said when you move out don’t hold the way the parented you against them just do it differently with your kids which i think is a great way to think of it
Yesss!!!!! Definitely enjoy Lincoln, he’s growing up so fast. Love his little haircut, it fits his personality and he has a big personality. 😘Love you guys!!!!
I love what you said about parents, respect & not holding things against them. As a parent, I am always trying to do my best. It would break my heart for my children to come to me one day & said “you did xy&z wrong and I’m not doing that with my kids”. I love and respect my parents so much & know they love me & my siblings and have always tried their best. There are things that I do differently with my children and that’s okay. Thankfully, my parents are very good to respect me as a parent & follow my rules with my children instead of doing things exactly how they did it with me.
Bonnie, I know what you mean about wanting to keep him your baby like, I was the same with my youngest child too. Lincoln did so good getting his haircut, and it turned out adorable! he's so funny I just laughed so hard when he said " I'm a fancy little man.😆😂 you're such a good mom.
Thanks for linking the clothes, love your style! Might have to order the leggings😊 Ugh I can relate to everything in this video! The sassy kids, the sausage and no egg yolks!
When my dad was sick with cancer, I really started to feel the guilt of all that I had put him through growing up. We had many talks about it and we actually grew really really close. Now, of course nobody wants something so heartbreaking to bring them to their senses but I cannot stress enough how important it is to apologize and forgive when apologies and forgiveness is needed. Also, treating them with respect because even if you're an adult and can do what you want, they are still your parents.
Love that you are keeping his hair longer! My son’s hair is kept long too and it’s true some boys just need that shaggy look and Lincoln and my son definitely have the personalities for it!
His hair is still long but it's neat. It looks great and it suits his personality. He is absolutely adorable! All your kids are adorable as a matter of fact!
Lincoln was such a big boy and his hair cut turned out so cute! I cant believe how well hes talking.. such a cutie and always has so much to say lol Dont feel bad that he doesnt call you to open his door..I think he thinks the kids will help him escape quicker 😆
The long hair fits his personality very well. My son is almost 4 and he has long straight hair past his shoulders. We don't plan to cut it, his hair is apart of him and who he is. I love that you are still keeping it long, he won't be this little forever and small things like this will be a good memory you will want to have :)
Bonnie , I am really hoping you read this . I look up to your parenting style so much , I know we don’t see your entire life or see when the kids are talking sassy to you or not listening but i do see that your children respect you as their mother and they listen . I see that you have patients with them aswell . Right now I am struggling with my 3 year old daughter Makena who has more attitude then I thought possible and who pushes my last buttons way to many times . She is now struggling to sleep through the night . Please tell me any advise you have for disciplining or changing that kind of behaviour . I’m hoping you have some . So much love from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦

I love how you always have a little life lesson or pep talk about just being human. Your like therapy for me sometimes as a mom of three! Thank you!
I love your little chat about respecting your parents ! Sometimes it is hard to remember in the moment but it is so important to be mindful of this. I love how you show your real life and show the ups and downs in life. Thank you for that!❤️ love you bonnie
His new haircut is so perfect!! I know just how you feel! He has his own personality and his hair style should reflect that. This cleans it up a little but not too much. Love it!
I would love to see Lincoln with short hair like Cody. I think it would make him look older!
Yeah like bonnie said, she doesn't want him to look older, he's the baby.

I love Lincoln's haircut!! It's so perfect for his personality 🤩 He's a fancy little man 🤣💙
I love what you said about parents, respect & not holding things against them.
As a parent, I am always trying to do my best. It would break my heart for my children to come to me one day & said “you did xy&z wrong and I’m not doing that with my kids”.

I love that you are still keeping it long, he won't be this little forever and small things like this will be a good memory you will want to have :)
