One thing people don't understand about tracking and privacy settings in general, is that for most browsers, they are very customizable. The problem is though, you almost have to be a computer programmer to set things up to cater to your preference. Many of the options are vague and incoherent to most people, and we also find it hard to even get into the details. The options are there however, and one could certainly set their browser in a way to protect their privacy, or data, even to the point where "They" (the government, or corporations) won't know you were thinking about buying a new pair of shoes. It's hard though.

Suggestion for topic: wouldn't it be nice if companies agree to a unification of interfaces? so that for example menus, buttons, keyboard shortcuts, etc, are common among interfaces: browsers, apps, phone apps, computer apps, all having the menu some options located similarly.

Look, I get the whole needing cash and companies using ads to push their products through. It's the dishonest practices and the aggresive tactics they use that's disgusting.

yes, but you're better off using apple products and applications like safari than google or Microsoft products. Apple isn't *great* but they do a much better job of protecting your privacy than google

Don't fall for the advertising bit. It's an excuse to get into your business. Ain't ever been that much shopping! It's not about hiding either. They just do it in such a sneeky way is what pisses people off... What are they looking for that I can't tell them if asked? I don't need any average goof looking over my shoulder trying to judge anything! I quit fb and when I think I'm being tracked, I'll put on something gross and go make a sandwich.

Of all the actual dangerous and worrisome aspects of tracking and personal privacy issues...that half-baked abortion example is the best you could come up with? Really? There are so many more relatable and pressing issues that could have been covered. You built up a great point and then it just kind of fizzled...

Get DuckDuckGo, Firefox, Brave browser Avast Anti-track, a VPN and Go into Google Settings disable web activity, disable TH-cam History, Search History, Ad Personalization Settings in Google. Stop using Chrome, Use Chromium-based browsers like AVG secure browser, Microsoft Edge, or Avast Secure Browser that are chrome without Google. Get off Facebook completely and reduce Google Services you use...
or even simpler. Delete your Google Account, Facebook Account, Instagram Account, and Microsoft Account.
