- It was all my fault! Just take the Loss and move on is what should have happened! But!
When the will to win overrides the smart decision to lift and take the loss! This is the result most of the time! CRASHED! Not only does this hurt mentally, it really hurts physically!

Demarcus, the first guy there is as good as they get. He's also a racer and a great friend. He works this hard ALL day, every day he's there!
That first track official was on you IMMEDIATELY, steadied you, got your helmet undone gently but didn’t take it off, all while making sure the kill switch was off. And he’s not even EMS, he just got to you first. Guy deserves some recognition, and so does the rest of the track staff. Thanks for making sure our favorite TH-camr is good to go 💪🏻

Dude was awesome, I guess that's the benefit of regular training, and experience. Some of the outlaw back of the track stuff isn't so good but they've been lucky so far.

It's ton of videos out there with the same ending, the car straighten up and they blip the throttle again and down they go!
@MrMaxEffort yes sir. See it happen quite often. It is a split second decision, so I give him credit for coming out and being honest.
Out of the groove, out of the throttle, and any car out of shape w/ a chute on the back, and you are not rolling backwards...throw that handle as fast as you can... Words to live and race by...You don't look good bro in that hospital mumu though you look ok, glad you didn't stand up & turn around and "crack" us all up!
Good to see TJ came through in one pc, though the Copper Penny is a bit bent bro., build it, race it, bend it up and break it, fix it and race again...

The MAC fabs held up really good. If you replace them send them to me 😂. I was screaming at the live feed that you wasnt lines up straight. Definitely need to get you a wheel with a line up mark. The one billy just got is really nice. Glad your ok and will be back soon!

Ive had my sternum cracked/broken TWICE and it is Absolutely Miserable! It feels like having all your ribs broken at the same time!

Not gonna lie that was tough to watch John. When I saw the initial video of the crash my first thought was that your throttle must have stuck open. I have been following you for several years and have never seen you over drive a car like that. You are human buddy! Take care and know that we will all be thinking about you and Kelly.

a real man admits when he is wrong. glad you made this video John. i hope that you and more drivers would consider a drag racing course at a school like Roy Hill's where you not only learn to drive, you learn to drive safely. someone like Roy will pound it into your head when to abort the run, pop the chute etc. i highly recommend it for anyone drag racing. glad youre ok

Omg so glad you are okay bro! That was a hard hit. It didnt look that bad from outside the car but your body basically hit the wall from the inside of the car. That looked bad. Ouch! Praying for you to recover from this and come back stronger. Looking forward to the car build videos incoming.

I really hate that this happened to you. I have alot of respect for you i think you are one of the hardest working racers i know of. 40hr work week then all the work to the car and helping your friends all the traveling and racing. Im buying shirts now. I hope for a speedy recovery of the car

I know everybody has already said it but I'll say it again. The car is replaceable and you are not. I'm glad you made it threw all right. Posted this in the original crash video. The leak caused the wreck. The second he ran through the leak it was over. Water/fluid on the drivers rear tire causes the car to go left. Thanks for acknowledging!
One thing I learned a long time ago.....NEVER...jump back into the throttle once the suspension is upset😢
