Yeah, Stormgate didn’t work for me and it wasn’t Marc's fault...

Funny thing about ravens is just how chaotic they make everything, and widowmines can be pretty random too. Some say that Terran are a glass cannon army, but this combo is like like glass Russian roulette army

An unkindness is the more modern term for a group of ravens because late 1800s and early 1900s viewed ravens as a symbol of bad luck.

I like a conspiracy of ravens. But also even more rare a trechery of ravens.
I'm partial to conspiracy, myself. Ravens are either the nicest birds around you or they're the most conspiring of little devils. And they talk to each other. You befriend one raven, you befriend the flock. You attack one raven, you're the enemy of the whole flock.
building armor no longer buffs the auto-turrets, turret range still does

Maybe a suggestion. When you're doing the early raven harassment and they have a sieged tank to defend the mineral line or multiple siege tanks near each other. You may be able to get some friendly fire tank shots using the auto turrets.

Since you upgraded Neosteel Armor you can load 6 marines/3 marauders in a bunker.
It'd be nice to see this for Defense once you hit the peak mmr with the current rules

I feel like the first opponent left a bit early. He took some bad trades, sure, but never any critical damage. He did a good job expanding aggressively and as uThermal mentioned he could have turned things around with some vipers since they're a fantastic counter to both ravens and planetaries

They were made flimsy. Made of tissue-paper, I believe those were your words.

I knew this particular challenge was going to be awesome after seeing the magic you worked with ravens and mines before.
id really love to see you do a massive base expansion and starve your enemy out of resources build, and for every minute they last create a ranking of the top 10 who lasted the longest on 2 or 3 bases.

Every time you burrow mines at that bridge, I just imagine their little digging claws dangling out the bottom of the bridge 😂

I’ve heard conspiracy, making the concept of massing Ravens a Conspiracy Theory.
Hey @uThermal, you should try a challenge using only mass banelings, and only fighting on ramps for that sweet sweet double damage....

SC2 is so fun to watch with Marc playing and commenting! Stormgate is still a bit boring IMO. But I think that's just where the game is right now.
You can counter viper Parasitic bomb by first using Interference Matrix on the viper(s) which are psionic and then killing them by chasing them down with auto-turrets. Also, works great if you have some vikings handy to snipe the vipers so they don't parasitic bomb your air units first, but for this challenge you are obviously not building vikings. Nevertheless, you can counter vipers this way with mass ravens if they don't have other anti-air units protecting the vipers from your ravens. Kind of the same idea of countering ravens with ravens.
Playing mark would be so incredibly frustrating 😂

Due to how fast the turrets attack, i think it might be worth it to upg their attack, mech upgs may work on them.
I'm trying to think how to beat this with Terran. Of course a lot of it comes down to skill and control but some builds are better than others. For Terran, maybe a modified TVP army with tanks instead of liberators, no widow mines, and more vikings than usual as well as a raven or two for detection. The marauders can outrange the mines, take a better hit than marines due to their health and large model size, and they should be better vs turrets which are armored, and run over a planetary fortress. Ghosts can emp Ravens to significantly weaken the army too because the ravens become dead weight on supply without the energy. Battlemech with ravens could also be good. The cyclones are more expendable and you can use speed to defend or hit multiple places and later transition into thors.

here's an idea, reaper harrass tvt, by dropping many kd8 charges hitting every scv for 5 damange, into a widow mine drop to 1 shot finish them off

Thank goodness Thermy is a terran player. I couldn't handle that level of innovation giving zerg players ideas.
Question though, why don't you put widow mines far out on one side of an expansion, then drop turrets on the other near the mineral line, so all their drones run away, right into the mines?

A flock of ravens is known as a kindness. A flock of crows is a murder. Frank Herbert author of Dune is known for using the line "Let me pay you a kindness", before one of his characters kills somebody in the series.

that first game is a prime example of why i say zerg play to lose...1 viper wins the entire game...so 0 vipers made
but why widow mine do not kill worker... Hmmm. cyclone has less health than worker?
the widow mine does kill a worker, but the splash damage doesn't, so it only kills ONE terran worker. however it will kill multiple protoss probes or zerg drones. so widow mines in the mineral field are less effective against terran than against zerg or protoss because scv's have 5 more health than probes or drones, and the widow mine splash damage does just enough so you can one shot multiple probes, but not enough that you can one shot multiple scv's.

Personally I dislike every other day uploads. I love the * to grandmaster series. Howevwr I think it is for the best. You went a long time without that typenof content and it killed my enjoyment of the channel.
Uploading every other day prolongs the series, gives you time to think of strategies, and helps with your own health ensuring future updates.

Hover over the top right button with your mouse
you trolling? If you hover over your supply it shows worker/army breakdown. you can see he does it twice really quick before he says this.
