Think Media no... I shoot on a broken smartphone... but I promise once I get the rebel sl2 you recommended... get a good lense... learn what all these words and numbers you're saying... THEN I will definitely get whichever of these you recommend for me.

Michael Grills Sean recommended the rebel sl2 as a budget camera here. I've also got the rode VideoMicro and studiopro softbox kit at his recommendation. Here is the think media on the sl2. th-cam.com/video/q1ERQ92k3mk/w-d-xo.html

Hi Sean and team Think Media. I recently picked up an M50 with kit lens then invested in a 50mm and speed booster. As soon as I twisted the lens on I wanted to nail those lovely bokeh shots in my video projects. This video, like many others leading to this point in my journey to create content, has been really helpful. Thank you! Now to add ND and polarising filters to my ever-growing shopping list!

I understand and practice the 180 rule, but your illustration of the difference between following this rule utilizing an ND filter and ramping up the shutter speed to properly expose the scene, reinforces that the fact that on TH-cam videos, one cannot see a difference. Popular creative/content creator Christian Maté Grab does not use ND filters for this very reason.

As you manually adjust the brightness through the variable ND how do you actually measure the amount of light coming in so that you can be consistent with all of your outdoor shots? I mean, if I get my first shot at 6pm them second shot at 7pm, obviously its gonna be a little darker outside, how can I make sure I’m filtering the same amount of light on shot on my 7pm shoot? - hope my question makes sense... thank you!!

It should have a number on the front that tells you the filter size (like 49 or 47 ... which would be 49mm). Also, you can look it up on Amazon and they have a compatibility tool built in to make sure everything will fit.

I’m having issues with my setup. I have a Tiffen variable 2-8 stop, but when shooting in direct sunlight, at 24fps 1/50, my footage is still overexposed. Then when I twist the Nd to perfectly expose the image, cross polarizing begins to show. Is there a variable ND that would cover a higher Nd range besides the polar pro 6-9? That’s a little out of my price range. I feel like most TH-camrs have a similar ND filter (2-8) and seem to have perfectly fine exposure in direct sunlight at 24fps 1/50. Could I be doing something wrong?

I've recently started vlogging and I'm mostly using a Sigma 16mm 1.4 on my Sony a6500. I have a variable ND for it but I have no idea why, if I'm shooting on f1.4, I can't get my shots to expose properly unless the ND is fully closed which adds a weird vignette to the shot. It overall just looks awful if I'm in the sun. What gives? Do I just need a better ND filter??
