I have seen/played multiple people at locals who have attempted to go into knightmares using Cyber Dragons. There was even one guy that tried to convince me that the knightmares summoning requirement meant 2 monsters with different “original” names. So glad I will be able to reference them to this video in the future lol. Also the Called ruling with Cyber Dragons is very interesting. We all know how Yu-Gi-Oh Players love to just skim over card text. I would have never given this so much thought.
Question??? If i play a trap that states banish a monster to special summon a fusion monster, can your opponent play called by the grave to remove that card stopping the fusion during any game phase?
Unfortunately hero kid is not a part of the HERO archetype. So solid soldier and shadow mist among others do not have the ability to summon hero kid. Typically the only ones that can trigger his effect are cards like goblindbergh and marauding captain or saryuja. Hope that helps!
What about Machine Duplication, where if you target, for example, core; you can only summon "Cyber Dragon". (except if core's effect is negated, then you just get two more cores)
A late name ruling question, but with harpies, specifically Harlie lady 1, 2, 3 and cyber harpie all state that their names are always the original Harpie lady (and can only run a combination of 3 total in the deck) how would called by work with these cards?
Dave Phillips original name is whatever is in the text box above the stars, anything else is an effect that changes its name to it if it’s in the effect text box.
I’m looking for a good explanation on why when I have Litmus Doom Swordsman on the field along with Pole Position, why is Litmus Doom Swordsman unaffected by spell effects if it’s the monster with the highest attack on the field even though trap cards aren’t supposed to affect it? (When pole position leaves the field and Litmus Doom Swordsman is the monster with the highest attack, the effect tries to destroy Litmus Doom Swordsman and fails)
Vampire Fraulein says ''Once per battle, if YOUR Zombie monster battles an opponent's monster'' I've always figured that meant any of your Zombie monsters since it doesn't say ''if THIS Zombie monster battles'' is that correct?. Similar to E. HERO Honest Neos but for during damage calculation only.
What about the dark magician cards such as magicians navigation and the darkness magician girls like berry, cherry, and all of them? Just curious because I have been up against a few decks that seem almost to op.
Ok so let me get this straight, Normal Summon "cyber dragon core" chain 1 eff, chain 2 activate "called by the crave" targeting "cyber dragon core" in grave....resolves backwards therefore the normal summoned "cyber dragon core" has its eff negated not being able to get the search as well as not being recognized as a cyber dragon?
Lightflare wins because it's effect that negates is a continuous effect and Update Jammer is a quick effect and it happens during the damage calculation while Lightflare happens before the damage step. The effect negation would need to happen before the battle .The same happens when Jinzo is summoned and skill drain is activated in response.
Hello Mr. Tombox, I didn't hear you say anything about cards that are "cyber" spell/trap. Does CYBER DRAGON CORE let me pick up CYBERLOAD FUSION too? Thank you, Zane
Just a quick question: if I took Ritual Beast Ulti-Cannahawk to Worlds, would the TCG or OCG ruling be used? I heard you can’t do the Cannahawk effects on top of each other in the OCG, so I’m curious
Fraulen vs. Borrelsword how does it work can you explain? Say my opponent attacks a monster on my field i ss fraulen and boost doesnt borrelsword get pumped by the attack
So would you not be able to special summon vier if you normal summon a core because technically the core doesn’t become “cyber dragon” until after it’s summon?
What about Lord of Red?... can it be special summoned by Red Eyes Spirit or be used with Red Eyes Burn? Or does it need to have "Red Eyes" in it's name?
hummm, Can you activate the ATK/DEF changing effect of Vampire Fraulein more then once per battle, with another copy of itself? For example, if you had 2 on field, would you be able to stack 6k ATK/DEF on a zombie monster?
So just to clarify if you were to hit the regular cyber dragon in the grave instead of the core only regular cyber dragon is negated for that turn and not herz, core or seiger right?
Regular cyber dragon is negated til the end of the next turn, all other Cyber dragons arent affected, as their original names are Not just cyber dragon.
Can you do a ruling discussion on the following?: When you activate boogie trap, can you target a trap card that you discarded for the first part of the cost?
It's the same thing that works in lightsworns if you use lumina eff as long as their is a proper Target in grave already then you can discard a lightsworn and Target the lightsworn you just discarded to spec it
If 2 Vampire Fräulein battle, and both players pass priority at first without activating the effects. Does the turn player have another chance after that to activate the effect or will they just crash, because nobody gets another opportunity to activate?
can you tell el rulling of light of sekka and equip monsters? like i activate light of sekka then can i activate effects of monsters that equip too others?
I think you can activate the effect of a monster that becomes a spell because you are activating a monster effect to transform it into a spell (not to activate it as a spell). But you cannot special summon it back because now it is a spell, so you would be activating a spell card's effect. Its continuous effects as a spell, like attack boosts or protections (like A-B-C) still work.
So, if you have activated Sekka’s light and then you have superheavy Samurai Soulhorns in your hand. You can equip Soulhorns to a Superheavy Samurai because the equipping is considered a monster effect, and your monster should be able to attack twice since this effect doesn’t activate, but you will not be able to activate its effect to special summon Soulhorns after equipping because that would be considered a spell effect.
I’m confused about why people would fine Fraulien confusing? She’s pretty straightforward. Pay LP. Slap hoes. Bring em back in line under your control.
If hyate is widow anchored or impermanced dies it cause a replay? Also if hyate dies in a battle does it still send a skystriker card from the deck to the graveyard
If any monster on the field dies during attack declaration, it causes a replay. If any monster dies during Damage Step, it doesn't cause a replay. And I think Hayate still sends a spell even if it is destroyed by battle (not if it was Impermanenced) but I'm not 100% sure on this.
If called by the grave would not use the original name, but just the name, you cant banish any cyber dragon in the grave, because it would start an infinity loop (cyber dragon core gets negated, changes name, gets unnegated, changes name, ...)
I have a question about Invoked Elysium banishing effect: If Invoked Elysium banished himself with his own effect will "all" attributes get banished from my opponents field and graveyard?
@@MSTTV the argument was that Invoked Elysium on field is the six attributes and when he banishes himself so removed from play would only be one attribute (his original),but their is a confusion since he is targeting or it's an effect that can be done to during either players turn(quick effect?) It would still count as six attributes still. Elysium doesn't ask for original attribute so in this case I'm assuming that everything is going to be banished It's confusing and I'm sorry ,I hope it will help others to understand his effects more better
Ok, please explain this. If I normal summon Infernoid Decatron and it’s effect activates. And I turn it into a sitamas. If my opponent plays call by grave does it stop the decatron sitamas?
Den Hunter it says original name so ur Decatron can still use seitsemas's effect. But if they banish another Decatron in your gy it shuts it off. Be careful of this with ur double Decatron void feast play. They can chain to u negating their effect, banish ur Decatron in gy and ur negates are turned off
What's the ruling for battle traps? I have a friend who runs some battle traps. I declare an attack. He activates mirror force. I chain Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect. Then he chains storming mirror force. Can he actually do that?
Its still the attack declaration window... so yah.. that whole chain is still part of the attack declaration. It does NOT need to activated directly behind the attack because just the attack declaration timing.
Everytime you give us a ruling question I get it right. Do you think I should apply to be a judge even though I hadn't played the game in years( I have been keeping up with the meta and any news like banlist for 4 years now) BTW shouldn't most of what you said in this video be common knowledge anyway?
Unfortunately i wish it was common knowledge,.. but due to the advantage offered by some of these cards people started to skew the meanings of basic definitions...
How does it apply to infernoid decatron ? Like copying onuncu than trying to negate a s/t tributing itself as cost What happens // what to hit with called by the grave ?
Was going to ask the same thing. By way of Called by the Grave requiring original name, I believe you would have to banish another Decatron to be able to negate Decatron, even if it already copied the effects/name of a monster
As soon as decatron tributes itself as cost, its name goes back to normal as soon as it hits the grave so therefore using called by the grave on decatron in grave would work but using it on onuncu would not
I have seen this asked in a Judge Group on FB. If you banish Decatron in the grave then the one acting as Onuncu or another Infernoid is negated because its original name is Decatron. :)
As an Infernoid player, if you banish the Onuncu the Decatrons will remain at full power, also it doesn't matter if it is on the field or it is tributing itself, because its original name is Decatron in both scenarios
Alessandro you need to learn the interaction between Called By The Grave and Decatron as an Infernoid player as you stated. Banishing Decatron from the graveyard will divert back ANY Decatron's on the field to being considered Decatron. They will no longer keep the effects or the name of the ones they are copying. But if you banish Onuncu then the Decatron will still be considered Onuncu. You are saying two different things in two different comment threads on this video XD One you are recalling that his original name is Decatron and the other you are saying it would keep his effects and be Onuncu again even if Decatron is banished by Called By The Grave.
Ruling! I summon Infernoid Decatron, use effect to send Infernoid Devyaty and copy its effect. Opponent uses call by the grave on devyaty, is decatron now unable to keep devyatys effect?(is it the same with cyber dragon core?)
I think you missed something in the "Cyber Dragon monster" part. Are Cyber Twin Dragon and Cyber End Dragon considered Cyber Dragon monsters? They do contain Cyber Dragon in the name, but it's split in the middle...
They are not cyber dragon or cyber dragon "monsters" they are cyber twin dragon and cyber end dragon. The video explains the whole thing. But in case you don't get it and to answer the question, yes those extra names in the middle do matter so that means along with end and twin, cyber "laser" dragon, cyber "barrier" dragon and cyber "eternity" dragon are not cyber dragon monsters just "cyber" cards. But cyber dragon "nova", cyber dragon "infinity" and "toon" cyber dragon (as he just explained) are cyber dragon monsters.
What happens if my opponent steals my AG megaton golem and makes it eqipped to his monster and then i mst it? Does that mean i get the ss of the AG monster?

joshua cook A counter trap that negates monster effects, like Solemn Strike, can negate Fraulein since counter traps can activate during the damage step
Why konami hasnt included icons to clarify rules like speellspeed , starts chain , dont start chain, trigger, ignition effects, quick effect ? so on and so on would be great for new players.
That would probably be helpful to be honest. I've also been a firm believer for years that they should number each effect. This would help players distinguish one effect with multiple parts from multiple different effects, and it would help players distinguish what can and cannot be negated. (Ex: Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor can be used as a synchro material if its effects are negated, but Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak cannot because Kochi's restriction is not considered an effect).
Have a ruling concerning about Called By The Grace vs Altergeist Protocol, does the Altergeist monster on the field still get its effect if the same name copy gets banished?
I have seen this asked in a Judge Group on FB and I have answered it above but will help again in case you didn't see it :) If Decatron is banished with Called By The Grave then the Decatron that is "named changed into Onuncu or one of the others" is negated therefore changing his name and effect back into Decatron. He stays as Decatron even when he is no longer negated I believe as well.
If you negate on Decatron's effect activation on summon yes, it will remain Decatron forever, but if you negate a Decafron already on the field it keeps the effects it copied.
It doesn't keep its effects it copied. Being Called By The Grave states original name which his ORIGINAL NAME is DECATRON he is still negated therefore he would divert back to being Decatron being he can't copy anything else. I even clarified with my Judge friend to make sure I was 100% right before commenting back to you. It doesn't have to be right at activation..at anytime in the match that you decide to banish Decatron from the grave with Called By The Grave then any Decatron's on the field that copied the name and effect of another Infernoid monster will be negated and divert back to being Decatron and having Decatron's effect.
@@wildfirerevenge the effect remains copied but it is negated for the duration of called by the grave, as I stated on the other post. Asked this to a Judge too, during a tournament because something kinda like that happened.
Like I stated on the last comment: "that would be cool if it was true...however it is not. My judge friend said this "He will stay as decatron. Its like if a monster with "?" attack gets hit by effect veiler. Once veiler effect ends that monster will be 0 attack." So now you have a Judge's confirmation that you are wrong still. Sorry bud...as a fellow Infernoid player I was rooting for it to be true but you can't argue with the rules of the game."

I read a comment the day that said Konami just makes this game complicated for no reason when it doesn’t have to lol
Have a ruling concerning about Called By The Grace vs Altergeist Protocol, does the Altergeist monster on the field still get its effect if the same name copy gets banished?
Yeah, protocol makes it so altergeist effects can't be negated by anything. You can still banish their manifestation target
Now this exact idea but for Blue-Eyes, me and my brother play casually, I play Cydras and he plays Blue-Eyes, Blue-Eyes wordings are annoying af
I heard stratos #freestratos
How about infernoid decatron
So if they use it on a none original cyber dragon it don't hit them all? Nice...
Called by the Grave looks at original names of monster... If u want to stop core, you need to banish a core.. etc
Its crazy how mant people actually dont know these things
Vampire Fräulein is just a better form of graydle cards.
Cider dragon
Why does it annoy me so much that people can't pronounce "Fraulein" correctly? They all say "Frolen" instead and I don't understand why.
So could cuber drago veir and drei make rampage
Jake Harper Yup
If they’re summoned in that order they could make most of the extra deck
Yugioh is so convoluted.
PLEASE get rid of that tapping 😭
Hi guys, I have 1 question that is bothering me:
Can call by the grave negate the last effect of scrap dragon when triggered (destroyed and send to the GY)???
TY so much for the answers
