Boy , that was a lot of cutting ! Shows what good saws , good maitance and a skilled person running the saws can do . That could be a Husqvarna advertisement !
You're the man Chris! I could see your exhaustion and feel the pain in your back and legs as you cut that last log. Impressive amount of work! Looking forward to seeing you work with your Dad.
I always am inspired by your "Get outside and get cutting", but it's been a while since I could. Due to some Covid related vertigo, I took a big fall getting out of my wife's car a few months ago. After a month of pain, I went to the Ortho and found out that I had broken two vertebrae (T11 and T12). Not the worst broken back, but painful and limiting. Well yesterday, for the first time in months, I went out to the splitter and cranked it up and split some oak. Some people complain about the smell of oak, but I tell you, when you haven't experienced that smell in a while it sure is sweet. Your videos continue to be an inspiration and I appreciated watching them through the summer as I heal. Good job on that mess of oak there. Eight cords is a lot of cutting.
That’s a full day! Great sense of accomplishment! This is why many of us find firewood so addictive. At the end of the day you can turn around and see what you got done in a huge pile of rounds cut or stack of splits! 💪🏻💪🏻 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Hi Chris. Most impressive. We'll done. Went to hardware store looking for saw and pruner. And there they were Fiskars angled pruners, most expensive pair on the wall. Thought of my news best friends Chris and Tony so I bought them. Love them and if I don't lose them I'll have them the rest of my life. Keep up the good work.
Yes sir, I don't want to shake hands with you , you would crush mine, I salute your victory. With the music and fast forward it looks like the wood cutting/ an chucking jamboree dance. You have the stamina or a machine!
I was cutting yesterday. But I was using my 1951 TEA20 Ferguson tractor hooked to my saw bench, and my new to me this year, an escalator. It’s great takes all the cut rounds of the saw bench away, so now I don’t have to stop and throw them out of the way so the rounds will fall of the saw bench. Hehe. What you do in a day will take me two weeks. Oh well.
Keep on rocking on firewood orders are starting to pile up and I’m not even through my landscape season yet going to be a busy fall cheers from southern Ontario!!
Was up at 5am, couldn't sleep. So played around on my phone for 30min before getting going for the day. Will be working by 7am, cleaning up the woodyard before one of John's crews comes to take down a bunch of pine trees and the next load of logs gets delivered. Hope to have several types of wood available for delivery for next season, gice the customers a choice instead of only ash. Choice is good.
G’mornin Chris. Look at the carnage ! Looked like fun. I’m on my way out to cut a few tanks myself. Thanks for the all hard work you put into the channel !! GoodNightIrene
Good morning Chris, a few videos back, you said “I’m so out of shape, ( maybe compared to an elite Navy Seal ), that was some impressive cutting for a man of your vintage, yeah tomorrow you deserve a light workday, trimming “just” a couple hundred Christmas trees, come on man, haha. Have a good time with your dad
Mr Chris,,,AKA Mr Woodchuck. There goes 8 more cords cut ,it’s like drinking the first two go down so easy then the bottle is gone or in your case the pile is gone.. great videos as always. Don
Yes Chris..looks like a lot of that stuff can be sold now. I typically cut that 3 - 4 year standing dead stuff just to get a quick inventory. If I have good sized rounds with 3-4 inches of punk, I chip that off with the splitter and the punky slabs become boiler wood for me. I had a customer ask me recently how I get the wood to look so nice. Its just a simple matter of getting that punk and bark off. Takes a little more time, but produces a quality product with a good presentation.
Hey Chris I just wanna let you know to ease the pressure when you put your grapple back on shut your Tractor Off turn the key back on don't start it work your button for your 3rd function and it'll release the pressure so you can get your grapple back on Or it does work with my Kubota Have a good day young man I hope it works for you I love watching your videos you're a good person

Good day Chris, you are the real SAVAGE! That’s what I’m doing today cutting making food for the Eastonmade 12-22 that’s ready for pickup 😍I’m a happy man. Cheers brother 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Honest days work there. I just finished my last load of logs yesterday before we had a huge two day downpour. Now I’m staring out the window at the woodpile drinking coffee waiting for the weather to break again.
@@alanatkins4315 I'd advise you to stay away from these supermarket saws, and other garden equipment with engines. They are not reliable, and not comfortable to use. Of course a Stihl or a Husqy is more expensive, but there is a reason for it. For homeowners, Mcculloch might be enough, that is still not that good quality, but certainly better than these cheap ones.
So do you think your stacking the logs made it easier to cut them? I know you mentioned that when you were doing it. Lots of work. Great video. Saw looked a little dull at the end. Chips getting smaller lol But you were on a mission. Congrats.
