Some issues and fixes which could make this armor good: 1. Fixing the animations of the flinching so we can aim better. 2. Adding a second perk to the passive, like ragdoll resistance or Melee damage resist (for the bugs).
Yeah just not having actions interrupted by small arms and light bug attacks would make a big difference, and synergise well with motivational shocks. OP? No. Useful, absofreakinglutely!
They should make it so that your actual character doesn't move either. It looks super weird when your gun is pointed sideways and the bullets are still going forward. It also still screws up ur aim cuz it shakes the camera and makes sniping still impossible while taking fire. The only way to use this armor effectively is with laser weapons.
It's probably a bug as almost all funny things in the game are, like it's called unflinching but you still flinch? Can't be intentional, arrowhead never makes mistakes.
I think that's one of the reasons people thought this passive was bad, because you literally flinch! 😂 and cause that's the most noticable thing, people just thought it's bad.
@@PIGEON5265 Because it is bad, you still gonna miss your Railgun or Recoiless when being shot at as the main comment stated. Arrowhead either need to add another perk like reduce recoil or buff the perk to 100% unflinchable when being shot at with small caliber.
Yep, I was about to comment the same thing. But as the video said the flinching animation taking despite keeping your aim straight when you have the armor on is probably a bug. Something not being properly modeled or animated in this game?! Must be unintentional. I’m sure we’ll see it fixed soon. They put so much detail into everything, I’d be surprised if such a badass perk was left unfinished.
Likely came late in the design, perhaps even after release. Still, I think the animation team can find a way to separate the hit punch from the weapon aiming without needing to redo motion capture.

Unflinching makes certain that you can shoot with precision and not hurry too much to shoot before they stagger you and wasting your ammo. But it's only good in those cases where one or a few enemies are shooting at you. If too many shoot you all at once, even if you survive you will get staggered from taking too many hits at once. Also rockets and being juggled the air overrides the usefulness of this perk. Still a good one but not exactly a perk that will carry you. It's one of those armors that fill a specific niche only like inflammable are specifically using fire while both crouch variants are suited for high recoil weapons. Counterpoint. For one thing, if you’re aiming, it prevents you from flinching from stray fire. This helps if you’re sniping from a distance and you’re getting mild enemy fire. But what this massive helps with are weapons like the quasar cannon, laser weapons, and the rail gun as well as a few others as you need to focus your aim. Being flinched out of a quasar shot from a random bullet is very bad and this armor remedies that

It's just kind of lame they added an armor to help an issue that should just be fixed or at least toned down. Really hope they put more effort into ragdoll rather than "Where this armor or suck it up".
this game pretty much revolves around avoiding taking damage whenever possible. flinching is a minor side effect of failing to do that. so this perk isn't really all that "good" unless you consider a quality of life booster a "good" booster compared to all the other boosters that actually help you to avoid taking damage in the first place.
Passive called "unflinching" You immediately flinch and always flinch. Lmao literally can't get one thing right. My visual and reticle shouldnt flinch either. Literally one playtest would have revealed this obvious problem

It needs to stop you from actually flinching like when trying to melee or inject a stim
Agreed!
find it strange how they still make 3 (or even 4) armor sets for a warbond but instead of bundling them all together inside the warbond for medals, they make a single set of armor cost 6 bucks in the super store.
oh and the passive still sucks. Yay I don't get staggered! Except. . . I still die to 4 laser bolts and it still allows me to get knocked out of stimming. Wish they'd abandon the "muh apples and bacon" line because the armor looks really sick but the passive is actual dogshit at worse and gimmicky at best.
No, still not because it does not come with 2 passives, it still is mid.
Man, these bots are killing me in seconds when they are these close, how he missing every shot? Looks like this batch came from Star Wars and famous guys with white armor
when you shoot near bots, suddenly their aim gets much worse.😂
@Seeeyog well yeah, because they have some kind of protocols, but my problem is when I shoot on one side, I'm receiving some very accurate bonks from another. Usually rocket bonks but regular laser bonks are very frequent too
well I've got a lot of bloopers though🥲
Well… passive sucks ass, but!
Liberty almighty it looks incredible
If only it made you resist the stim animation cancel when getting hit in melee by the bugs or shot at. Oh well... another mistake by the devs or spaghetti coding.
I hate that it still moves your aim by moving your camera. Why is everything in this game so underwhelming
That is what I think is a bug, that flinch throws me off. I addressed it in the pinned comment as well.
It's just kind of lame they added an armor to help an issue that should just be fixed or at least toned down. Really hope they put more effort into ragdoll rather than "Where this armor or suck it up".
I hope they are actually looking for a solution.
this game pretty much revolves around avoiding taking damage whenever possible. flinching is a minor side effect of failing to do that. so this perk isn't really all that "good" unless you consider a quality of life booster a "good" booster compared to all the other boosters that actually help you to avoid taking damage in the first place.
perk is trash because if i get hit wearing light armor last thing i care about flinching
You only need to take damage for it to be hardly useful! _"Great"_ Perk.
So many other better armors.
Passive called "unflinching"
You immediately flinch and always flinch.
Lmao literally can't get one thing right. My visual and reticle shouldnt flinch either.
Literally one playtest would have revealed this obvious problem
Doesnt work on first person, making this garbage tier, where are u more likely to want to not flinch? when aiming a precision rifle at something dangerous coming at you or when dealing with random enemies in 3rd person?.....
this is all very lovely, but consider the following: dont get hit 😉👈
0:27 That is most laughable fix...having the bullets/beam magically stick like that. The armor isnt good, its just cheap fix for something that is just badly implemented in the game. That fact that it only has 1 passive perk makes it even worse. Sure they look decent, but simping over these mediocre warbonds doesnt help the game.
cap
good vs bots
Should've mentioned this, my bad.
that perk is BS!
Hmmmmm....
🫠
Not buy'n
It's not good, stop defending garbage.
Shakin aim so that why..
Glaze diver
If it looks like that, sure.
