Its a matter of 3-4 years before tesla catches up to them. Till then buy cheap 2nd hand tesla and in 6 yrs self driving future will be real than no1 needs cars.

When comparing trunk space between brands, beware that Tesla use a different set of parameters which results in a figure 30-40% higher. For those of you touting that Tesla has higher profit margins compared to Chinese automakers, Tesla fattens its profit margins by selling in the US market where there is very little competition and they get billions of dollars of government carbon credit subsidies. Tesla generated $45B in sales in the US and $22B of sales in China in 2023. Yet the number of cars sold in each country was very similar, 655K sales in US and 603K sales in China in 2023. Thus the profit margin is CLEARLY much lower in China. If BYD had the same access to the US market as Tesla has to the Chinese market, it's profit margin would almost certainly be at least equal to if not higher than Tesla.
@@oxidalpha6350 I don't think the US would let BYD build a factory here. Ford and CATL were planning a joint venture to build batteries, but US politicians rapidly put a stop to that.
I keep seeing this spewed all over the internet, yet Musk says it's not true. In fact he has suggested the US stop the credits as it would only help Tesla.
Macan ev turbo is better. Has nearly same range with less good battery technology. So this means macan is more efficient. With this battery in macan it would be masterpiece.
We are seeing extraordinarily good cars at great prices hit the market. We have been reading of a slowdown in the rapid growth rate of electric cars - perhaps this will be the dynamic of a new growth spurt?
My question on the 7X: which models have adjustable air suspension? When it comes to Mexico what charge standard. Mexico has not forced compliance to North American charging standards.
Closer to $53,000AUD for the base model because it will undercut the Model Y price here. I reckon $60,000 for the long range. Still a lot for a new brand.

Far better than anything Tesla has ever offered and for a lower price. If Tesla can't step up its game, the only thing that will allow their car business to exist are tariffs and embargoes.
