The world just lost a man that could play the drums like no other. He played left handed with a passion few others can match. He was so nice to me and my wife the night we met him, can't believe he is gone. Rest in peace Mike, along with George and the Ace In The Ace In The Hole Band, no George Strait fan will ever forget you.
The longer I watch this the sadder I become, I got to play with Mike at a few jam sessions as a bassist in Nashville and it was completely effortless, he made me sound better than I deserve, I’m going to miss this guy a lot I was forever a fan.

A great talent taken away. Just saw him playing on G. Ss videos and wanted to find out who the drummer was and i get this shock. Loved his style. My heart goes out to his family and musician friends.
Mike has been an excellent drummer as long as I have known him. And trust me that has been a long time. I have known him since we were both 14 years old. He played with his dad for many years. Excellent drummer, hands down one of the best ever.
Ricky is spot on. I first met Kennedy (as my dad and I would call him) when he joined the Skaggs band. What Kennedy brought to the table was drive and flavor.
Aaron Wood. Yes. It’s a an older ddrum module. This is my dad and I actually have this very kit and the electronics now. It kind of blew me away seeing how his trigger and brain was rigged up even though I’ve helped him set up and tear down many times I just never noticed

RIP, Mike Kennedy. He seemed like a really good guy! Sadly he passed away on Aug. 31 in a car crash in Lebanon, TN.
