    Even though it is a pain to do, I was able to change it out and get the new filter in there with ease. I store my car in the garage and only drive 5-7K a year, so there wasn't much dirt inside, however, the filter itself was brown. Thanks again for posting this video!

      How does the side panel come off.

      @@danielibarrasr.4046 The side panel does not need to be removed to remove the housing cover.

    Every time, and i mean every single time i work on this car, i say out loud, numerous times, at varying and increasing levels, i hate this bleeping car. This was no different. I swear every car now is not built to be worked on, theyre built to be replaced. Thank you so much for the video though, was a great help

      You're welcome! Nissans and Fords have the worst design when installing a cabin air filter.

      Filterheads I tend to lean more into the sentiment that they are pains in total. Cramped spaces and irreconcilable angles and and and lol.

      @@mikeenglish4564 Lmfao. I feel you man. Yesterday i went to open the trunk with the push button under the camera and the whole fucking panel snapped off in one pull. One thing ill give it is its fast and the engine/tranny has held up great(knock on wood).

    I probably paid 3 times to have the cabin filter changed but I decided to do it myself this time and found the factory "original" filter with years of leaves and dirt on it.

    More like under the glove box on my 2016 Altima, you have to reach and feel for it. You can't see it.

      It is good to get a flash light and yes it is located under the glovebox.

    You pointed at the center console. Is it under there or under the glove box?

    • @filterheads
      @filterheads  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The cabin air filter is located in the center console on the passenger side of the vehicle. You will see the housing door if you look underneath the glovebox facing the center console.

      I'd say beside the glove box behind the a/c box following the center console. It took me a min to adjust the closure tab but it eventually sealed.

      Changing your air filter once a year or every 15,000 miles will help with a better clean airflow coming into your car.

    Absolute pain in the ass, but beats paying someone to do it.
