    Watched your video just to find where the filter is located. 2016 Altima 3.5 SL. Bought the car & has a nasty smell. BTW... I'm a widow that doesn't know how to do this kind of stuff so this will help so much! Thank you!

    One of the worst cabin air filters I’ve ever done. But this video was the best one and I completed the project!😊

    Absolutely first rate professional video with excellent lighting, closeup view and overall quality. Did mine yesterday, or more correctly my son did it for me.

    This IS the best guide available on both Google and TH-cam.
    I had issues with the slide lock closing. Internet continuously said I was installing the filter wrong, I needed to remove glovebox and/or I had to “pivot back and forth”, neither of which were a solution.
    The 45 degree angle WAS the solution. That’s the key detail everyone leaves out.
    Laid on back, no glove box removed. It’s not comfortable but I can’t believe how many people are saying it’s impossible

      Heck yea!! Great job getting in there and getting it done. I'm glad to help. Thanks for the comment too. Brings a huge smile to my face to know these videos help.
      Good luck keeping your vehicle maintained. I think I have a lot of routine maintenance videos on that car. Keep us posted. 👍💪🤞

    Thank you so much! I saw two videos showing the filter being taken out by hand. I tried, and not being experienced working on cars, I thought I need to just keep trying. Ouch, my fingers hurt after that!
    This video showed the correct way to do it and put the door back on!

    Thank you I was struggling to get the door back on and gave up after multiple tries I did the 45 degree angle trick and it attached back on easily

    I changed mine about 1 year ago but didn’t put the lock back on, I hope I still find it it was just laying around the floor for so long because I gave up

      You will probably get much better air flow once you get that door back on as well.

    I finally got it in, but Nissan made it super difficult to access the filter & install new one.

      This one was a pain in the but. We also have a Murano.... that one is super difficult to change! Suck crummy design for something that should be changed so often. When we got the Murano the dealer said they had just put a new one in. When I went to change it, the door fir the filter wasn't even on their. Smh.

    Thank You for the Video. At least you said how much of a pain in the Ass it was to remove and install it. I got the hook tool and it saved me from cussing it out but I still stabbed my finger so that's on me. LOL OMG! I'll pay to have it done next time.

    It’s just odd how big is the filter I can’t believe it’s supposed to fit inside

      I was actually surprised to how big the filter was too. Better to be to big than to small though.

    Mines screwed in

    • @ScottiesHobbies
      @ScottiesHobbies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is odd. Are you original owner?

    • @Prod_D
      @Prod_D 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottiesHobbies yes, I actually found it wasn’t screwed in... I was looking at something to the left of the cabin filter, but my Altima did not have that hinge - just a space for a filter to go so I just got it in there without removing any filter door. I think the dealership did something to it
