I really worry about guys like Deegan and Travis. I hurt my shoulder playing football when I was 16 and I'm now 32 and my shoulder still bothers me to this day, and that's literally nothing compared to these guys. I can't even imagine the constant pain they're probably in.
same thing as when McDonalds or Tim Hortons sponsors any sporting event. Kinda funny how the healthiest people in the world are sponsored by companies that sell the unhealthiest products. Taking nothing away from what they do for sports, and we buy it, but it's just ironic.
I wish my body would have healed. i tore the sacrum off the pelvis when i was rear ended, kinda like travis but not anywhere near as "severe". I was most likely healing and then i got hit again in another motor vehicle accident. Sacrum pops around like its floating. all sorts of nerve issues, weakness, etc in my left leg now. Im pretty sure it should be pinned but they think PT will fix it, when i already did 1yr of PT after the second car wreck. its just like they said about my SHATTERED collarbone, "oh you need to do pt"...
Great consult with the general. Probably the algorithm or maybe God's will, but I'm sitting here with a broken femur. My bike launched this old man big! I really love hearing about Mr. Deegan's ability to recover from his injuries. I needed this.
I raced the world mini w pastrana. Watched him bust the first cliffhanger in the first ever freestyle mx event in vegas. Words can't even fathom how good travis actually was. His dad was a G too
I totally understand the respect you’re trying to give Travis by saying that he put himself through all of his injuries “for us” being “ for the entertainment of his fans” but I simply don’t think that’s true. Travis is an action sports athlete, but I’d consider him more of an artist. With the boundaries that he pushed, in the creativity he exuded, there’s no other explanation aside from he was doing it because he wanted to. Just like every great artist, they do their best work when they put the audience last. Travis was doing it for himself because he constantly wanted to prove something to himself, it’s just an added bonus that people got so much entertainment out of it. I think Travis would’ve been doing the shit does whether he got famous doing it or not.
I got out of the army and there’s some hard mofos out there but pastrana keeps going back for more. The only one that’s crazy enough to do that besides pastrana is Goggins.
Yea but go watch video of Travis now. Poor dude can barely sleep without being in unbearable pain! Theres a video of him explaining like just trying to sleep is a huge ordeal itself or sitting down can’t run none of that.
I find it funny as a teenager Travis was my hero not Brian but now I really relate to Brian more and he’s really one of the greatest riders but now just so mature
The crazy/beautiful thing is, as a rider......u lay in hospital with bones sticking out saying I'm never doing this again. Couple weeks later..."when can i ride next?". The body forgets and bikes run deep in the blood
Travias is GOATED forsure!! will never forget the first time
i saw him on crusty demons!
With all the metal in Patranas body he could be a true member of the Metal Mulisha.
That’s fookin funny
Pastrana is too radical for MM.
He’s no show, no production, no bullshit… he’s 100% crazy.
Amazing guy this man has become!
I made Travis sign a metal mulisha hat when I was a kid 😂
He was not a fan of doing that 😂

Agree with everything Brian says about nutrition. All while wearing a Monster Energy hat. I wonder how they feel about the soda comment

He’s a damn good interview.
Great job!
Just seen the Pastrana X-rays, wow.

X rays look like wolverine. Metal fused to dang near every bone
Not me watching this eating Reeses Pieces when they talk about the soda in the plant hahaha

Travis is gnarlier than most of those military guys

Brian giving lecture about eating healthy…in his Monster Energy hat.
All I have to say is the TP 360
Lol talking about food and drinks being bad while wearing that monster hat 😅
I’m not sure I would call military next level. It’s just a completely different thing.
He is talking about people that have been blown up and had all bones broken and had rods put in
@@26Petermc I understand. I’m retired military.
