I've got a mp3 300 and hardly use the stand assisst/stabiliser and it's fine, doesn't shake or lean, it's front end heavy so you have to be mindful but you can hold the handlebars steady like any large scooter.
Thank you for the impressions on the Yamaha! My god what a messy review you managed to do :) Love it! it's more honest this way. What nobody tell us, or at least I couldn't find out, except what all the reviewers read loud from the manuals, is how is the riding experience comparing with Piaggio or Peugeot? better, worse, the same? And the built material quality comparing with the rivals?
Hi, and thank you?!?! :) In my honest opinion I would prefer the TriCity. The two wheels in the front are basically not there, you don't feel them., You don't need to push it into the curve. It's all natural. Built quality is good and Yamaha standard I would say. The only gripe I would have with it is the kind of already outdated display, although it was only released last year :) But I guess that kinda keeps the price down compared to the Peugeot.
@@BenalRida that I wanted to know! I had owned a Piaggio mp3 500 and was good but was vibrating a lot and the material quality wasn't that satisfying. Though, they worked better on the storage space then Yamaha. Good luck!
So, it happened, first contact with Tricity 300. Congrats! Try to find a Quadro QV3. How Tricity react to all bumpers and imperfections of the road? How's the suspension?
@@BenalRida yes, IF you are driving slow with less acceleration you will need 3,6L / 100km... but if you drive fast and with many accelerations you will catch 6-7L/100km. If you drive with a passenger, you have almost double the consumption... I’ve been driving more than 2000km. Know everything now about Tricity. But I love this „bike“... mine has Sport Paket with akrapovic and all the extras that you can get... color is green/black (best combo)...
To all those people why ride with three wheel motorbike is because in Germany and many European countries getting a licence cost 3000 euro for any class of Vehicles...yeah so we are fucked and poor.
At the moment (and not having tested the NEW Metropolis) I would definitely go for the Yamaha TriCity 300. You have to consider though the Metropolis has a higher powered engine. It will be interesting to directly compare it the Metropolis when I can test ride it as well.
BenalRida thanks for the reply, I’m looking at the metro (current model) or Tricity but unsure what one. I discounted the MP3 300/500 due to mixed reviews.
Yes, I would rather buy the Metropolis or the TriCity. You should wait for the new Metropolis to be released later this September before you male your buying decision. Btw, I test rode the Piaggios as well, if you want to have a look.
hi, I'm really intrigued between the tricity 300,xmax 300 and piaggio mp3 300 hpe. Can you share you experiences? Thanks. In terms of safety, size and maneuver between traffic. Thanks! P. S I'm a small sized rider around 1.72 height and 64 kg.
Hello, I really do like the TriCity 300 and with the anti-tilt system it is perfect for smaller riders, since you can lock it and it won't fall down. Personally, I bought the XMAX 300 just recently, but if for the same price I would have bought the TriCity. I have no opinion about the MP3 300. I haven't tested the 2021 model yet.
@@BenalRida thanks. Im afraid it's too heavy, haven't tested yet. Isn't it hard to move between cars in jams? Taking the legs down and maneuver? Also in my country the xmax is 2000$ cheaper then both mp3 and tricity. What about safety? Major difference between the xmax and tricity?
Yes, if you want to do lane-splitting in tight traffic situations, you might have more problems with the TriCity then, naturally. Well, if you don't reallly need the TriCity 300 because of licensing restrictions, you might as well get the XMAX300 which is cheaper and a bit speadier, since it doesn't carry around so much weight as the TriCity.
@@ניררבינוביץ-ז3ג Well, I think the TriCity has advantages there. It has three brakes and is safer in corners plus when the road surface gets slippery.
Hi man, nice videos! I saw that you preferred the MP3 300 over the 500... and I guess this Tricity is your favorite over all, also better than Peugeot (which I think it turns worse). I've been riding a Xenter 125 in Madrid, it's not bad but want to change for something better. So I guess it's Tricity or getting the A2 driving license and buying the Xmax 300 (which takes more time and the lost of the, supposed, better stability which has the Tricity). What's your opinion on this? Thank you!
Hello Filmiki, thanks for your comment. Yes, from all of the three-wheelers i prefer the Yamaha TriCity 300 at the moment. I am also not sure which one I am going to get. This might largely depend on the money I have saved up by then. The XMAX 300 is almost 2000 EUR cheaper after all. Since I want to take along my pillion, I guess it is better and safer to get the TriCity.
@@BenalRida Xmax 300 is 2000€ cheaper but it's only 1 front disk brake (the Xmax 400 has 2), that and the stability of the Tricity makes it a safer bike I guess. How about filtering through the cars that are waiting at the red light? Is it faster, when the green light, than a fast 125?
I really don't know, we did not test it that extensively, but my dealer already mentioned that he will be getting a test riding version real soon, and then we can hopefully check it out.

Do the locking front wheels draw current from the battery?
I don't know, I am sorry.
I like they kept the dash simple. But I'd prefer it with handle bars that have no cladding.
