Best thing to go with meat?
Even more meat. I love it. Looks sooo good!
Oh wow! Im from mexico city, my family is from monterrey.... this thing its actually a REAL mexican dish...
Everyone that is watching the video and have never tried REAL mexican food this is an excellent place to start..
Reminds me of home . Chihuahua
every region in Mexico has it´s own way to prepare discada, here in Sinaloa we use chopped tenderloin, chorizo, and guero chiles, nothing else. The taco is prepared with some fresh cabbage and salsa. Greetings.
You. Guys. NAILED IT.
I'm actually from nuevo leon and this look legit. it's the real deal.
If you dont like tomatoes i like to add some blended yellow and red bell peppers and it give its the same amount of moisture. Also in my city we add some potatoes in, they soak up all the flavor and turn out amazing.
great episode! congratz
I was searching for Discada and look who's video is at the top of the list, looks awesome Jack!
Tripod, burner, disco (cooking disc) and your standard propane tank. You can get a disco all shapes and sizes. You can find the tripod and burner at a big5sporting goods or any place that sales camping gear. The disco you can find at a local swapmeet or a mexican/latino grocery store or carniceria. The one we are using is a small one they have bigger one's.
I did this today with family and it's amaizing! It's a great choice try it. 👌❤️
@ Karl, you wont get any heat coming from the jalapenos because they are whole and they are getting steamed from all the meat, if you want some heat then you can slice them up long ways. when i cook this dish at home i slice the jalapenos.
I am Mexican, and I know good tacos. Those tacos looked AMAZING.
I love discada, the ultimate meatlover dish!!! Ok now im hungry.
Ohhhhhh my god, mind blowing in a good way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd love to see u do another video with this guy! THAT LOOKS AWESOME
he explains it in the video. You can get them at any mexican market or use a big wok instead if you have to.
Thanks for replying and your advice. Will look into it, because I love chorizo...
Yup! He's right. The best place to find them are at the swapmeets. That's where my family have purchased theres brand new, everything included.
Me encantó que rico es la mejor receta que he visto en mi vida la verdad muchas gracias por la receta son los mejores
Oh wow that looks phenomenal. I could almost smell it, it was that good.
any of the mexican supermarkets should carry them. Here in So Cal we have Northgate Market, Superior. Or go to a local Carniceria and as the hispanics in there on where to find one. they should know.
thanks to my buddy Christian for teaching us. That was kind of him to open his home to our show.
Hey Jack you forgot to take a big bite of the pepper ;) That looked good.
As a tip you can also add cauliflower, the bacon gives the cauliflower a flavor so good you'll love it.
I 3 discada! We make it all the time!
My beautiful durango always with there delicious food
I love this guy. i really wanna try this.
my cousins from Monterey NL make it a little differently but its basically the same....delicious
Hey jack , have you got another video like this coming up ? maybe a dish from south america or africa with a local chef ,it will be awesome
Love the video. I am making this for the family this weekend. I am definitely going to find one of those disco cookers. All my Latino friends are gonna freak at our next big cookout.
i bet the flavor of that chorizo was outstanding!
Meat upon meat upon meat upon meat...
DELICIOUS!
+Cesarito Wasn't that a homoerotic theater production in San Francisco?
lol wtf I hope not
you can also cook this in a wok, if you cant find the cooking disk, but instead of pushing the cooked meat to the borders, you would want to take it out so the meats dont dry out,as your cooking the next batch ,after words just incorporate all the meats and onion n chiles, duuah . just a thought !!!!!!
i love watching your videos and was wondering if you could make a how to video on meat and potatoes empanadas. please and thanks a bunch.
looks so delicious
my mouth was watering the whole video
that cookin pan thing looked badass i woulda loved to be there and have some
I thought disco died a while back, like in the '80's, but apparently it's still in vogue in Durango ;)
That's awesome cooking vessel !
Borracho disco meater cooker! Stay classy Borracho!
chorizo stands out and the bacon stands out then every so often the hot dogs pop with flavor. Cut open your sasage and remove the skin. Shouldn't be too dry with the bacon fat cooking it. If so add some cut up bell peppers for more moisture in the end of cooking with the jalapeño peppers.
can you give everyone some more info on that cooker you used in the backyard?
Yummy I love diskada
Outstanding video! Taco Wars Christian in the house!
wok or even a large pan works. I've done it on a large pan on my stove and it comes out the same. I was just keeping it real with the disco.
We have a different way to make Discada here in Monterrey, but that looks delicious!
Thanks. Will take a look, those chorizos we find here are usually quite hard...
thanks ill search him... by the way love your channel and your son is wonderful
Weenies is how we mexicans refer to franks! LOL. it was interesting to see how Jack was like "did you say weenies???" LOL. Y Arriba Durango!! I'd LOVE to see more of him in your videos. HE'S A BOSS!
Also Available at Amazon. They call it a Comal on there.
You got it bro
honestly it did make a difference.
That looks super great!! Thank You and Thank You to your new best friend. Ask him for the steak and gravy(it has tomatoes in it) Thank You..!!
Did you use longoniza chorizo or what kind . Thank you for the awesome recipe and tutorial.. got all the ingredients to make this even a wok pan.
Hope you enjoy. any chorizo
Made this and it was delicious. Had trouble finishing the whole thing with a group of 4 hungry guys haha
Looks so yummy!
I gotta thank the both of you for showing that off cause it looks damn tasty. I'm a white boy but I love Mexican and New Mexican food. You should check out Calabacitas which is ground beef, squash, corn, cheese, and green chile (optional of course).
Looks delicious. What did he cook it in? He called it a disc, I have not heard of or seen one of these before.
Not a fan of Mexican food BUT DAM that looked so good!! mmm
Mine is shaped differently, more like a shallow wok, but man this food looks great!
How much do the flavors cook out of the Jalepenos? Like, does the spice and flavor seep out of it as it cooks, like it would if you did that with normal veggies?
Dude this is amazing! I need a disco! Seems like you could make some great concoctions in a contraption like that
Me encanto esa receta thank you
the hot dogs did have a good flavor. I however am making a version tomorrow without it. I am doing it on my BBQ in a big chaffing dish pan. LOL So ghetto, I know, but it's all I have.
I've never heard of this recipe before...looks amazing even if there are "weenies" in there. So easy to throw together - was the meat chopped or course ground? Awesome that he shared this with everyone.
now that's a badass disk.
Good job bro that looks delicious y arriba el norte compita jajajaja
Seen the video in the morning making it right now thanks great video...:)
I'm sure this has has been mentioned in previous comments, but that is a really unique cooker ya got there, never seen the like, and under a tent!
Also like the idea of flavoring the dish with whole peppers, and I've never seen "weenies" (Winners?) in tacos, and thinking about it, not sure I want to.
Oh well, what the heck, it's all pig except for the beef! :)
I swear I could smell this all the way to TN from you guys...must be the weather :)
My favorite !!!

Great episode looks amazing!
Im hungry!
You can leave the hot dogs out if your iffy about it, but i think you should try.
Good video :) now I want some discada
what kind of pot is that? is it a kind of barbecue?
Its a man thank thank for sharing
Ya la ice y me quedo para chuparse los dedos
Why did you cook this particular item outside? Was it because of the disc being gas powered or something?
WOW - That looks delicious thank you both for sharing with us !!
Hi you two! I wonder if you can use chorizo sausages and ground them in a blender or will that be too dry and hard to use? I haven't see such chorizo here.
Another question for jack: When you tasted it, was it some meat you felt you tasted more than the other? :)
Hope you reply. Thanks!
Thanks
The videos i have are test video that i uploaded to see if it works. Yes i will be having my own show and it will be called Mi cocina on my borrachotacos channel. My first video should be ready by friday and i will be preparing platillos mexicanos, simple and delicious.
Eating Soup and watching this... now I don't want my soup anymore. I want Meat!
Oh my gosh so much MEAT looks so GOOOOOD
la voy a hacer en verano chicago
Hahahaha... weenies. the discada came out bomb. i would have made it diferently but i just wanted to keep it basic. hope you guys love the video.
Holy Hell! That looks so good!
What's you take on the hot dogs, Jack? Did they make it better? Worse? Would you put them in it if you made it yourself? Would you leave them out or substitute something else? I like hot dogs but, I don't know. It looked really good until he put them in.
What is this cooking vessel called? It is amazing!
