I was literally washing mushrooms, broccoli and cauliflower while watching this! Making a veggie dinner omelet with pasture raised eggs. Will add some nutritional yeast and Parmesan too! 😋
To put things in perspective: Supplements come in 1mg tablets. A typical portion 250gram Steak has 1.25-5mg. Parmesan has 2-3mg per 100g, and you probably can't swallow more then 50grams in a meal. Brokkoli 2-3mg per 100gram, which is probably the max amount you can eat in a meal. Whatever you eat, you will have enough of it. Spermidine Content in Mushrooms (per 100 grams, a typical portion): 1. Shiitake Mushrooms: • ~4-6 mg of spermidine. 2. White Button Mushrooms: • ~2-4 mg of spermidine. 3. Portobello Mushrooms: • ~2-4 mg of spermidine (similar to white button mushrooms). 4. Oyster Mushrooms: • ~3-5 mg of spermidine.
They sell soy tempeh at Target now, this is progress (it is THE plant-based meat alternative). Somebody needs to get natto production going as so many health advisors like Dr. Gundry are speaking of it's value.
@@aliciastanley5582- Any supplement that you take, first find the information about the maximum time that you should use each one of them and if its compatible with x medicines that you could be taking at the moment. Its very important. If you ever take Quercetine for example, know that the maximum time that you should use it is twelve weeks because it wasn’t tested beyond that. And tested on mice. I take it as an anti inflammatory instead of Paracetamol or anything like that but only use it for a few days. I like how it works. I do not use Natto/ Nattokinase because I am sensible ( very) to soy. I did not used soy before sensitivity got expressed anyway. It is a good product, where I am people use it as a detox for the crap in the “ modern preventive “ Search as: Natto suplement, you will see some good brands there.
I’m impressed by how a globally recognized doctor got the mechanism of apoptosis wrong. Necrosis or necroptosis can manifest the kind of inflammatory explosion he described. Apoptosis doesn’t and it’s naturally programmed by DNA as a way to conclude cell cycles therefore preventing cancer, with minimal to no inflammatory process.
Great episode!! I'm hoping spermidine is also in my high quality mushroom powder. Yes?? (( I did start eating chicken skins last year. Tastes great too. ))
I can't find any Spermidine Supplements without wheat germ (which contains gluten) or rice bran (which contains lectins). Does anyone have a good recommendation?

Dr. Brad Stanfield says don't buy the supplements and recommends to get to it from food.
Yeah, I prefer to eat the food than buy the expensive supplements

You said micrograms but the images have mg which is milligrams. What is correct please
How many Lectins do vegetable filled capsules, like Balance of Nature have?
whats that watch he's wearing?
wheat germ, dirt cheap, you're welcomed
I'm celiac, and grain free, so that doesn't help me.
It's even the best source of spermidine. I take this every morning since years now. Also full of minerals and vitamins...
Has anyone tried spermidine supplements for memory improvement? I've tried everything for my elderly mom, but nothing helps.
How about creatine??
maybe try cutting out things instead of adding things. start with clean slate an elimination diet

Lion's Mane mushrooms have a good rep. You can buy dried extract if fresh is not availble but it's getting more popular and easier to find.
Taurine? Methylene blue? Coconut oil? Just some ideas for ya!
