My best advice is to know where God wants you and your family to be because nowhere is safe. God's will is paramount. We cannot be led by fear. At the end of the day the UK belongs to the lord he created the earth and wherever he wants his children to live is where they will live and nobody can take you from there ❤️❤️

I went to UK but my daughter, grandson and myself decided to come back to SA. One night I heard a voice very commanding and I was told by this voice say if there is trouble we will try and protect you I'm sending you all for a purpose you will find out what that is. To be honest I thought gosh that sounds like God giving you an instruction. Some may say it's my imagination but it was more than that. So we will have to wait and see.

Most of the things concerning insecurity happening are over exaggerated by the media in Nigeria honestly. The way it's portrayed you will think blood is flowing like a river on the streets.
Dyna Ekwueme that returned back to Nigeria from Saudi said the same thing, that she was scared and on guard as she was coming back, expecting to meet chaos but everywhere was calm.
The igbos in Lagos are fine and those that have business are still running fine...this yoruba igbo fight na every eke market day yet una still dey marry each other 😂 My dad sef is yoruba my mum igbo so everybody will be fine.

I can appreciate wanting to reduce crime and protecting heritage but generally Migrants find it harder to access opportunities here (housing, jobs, public funds etc) and I personally don’t understand the “they are taking our jobs” sentiments, I thought they brought workers in to meet shortage and increase tax revenue? In kano state, the sabon gari and nomans land area of kano are populated by Christians and non indegens- rioters don't dare this location.

You seem a solid person and I truly admire that. I wish you all the best in your new home in London. But it pains me that you dislike Lagos so much. I like the way you are careful not to blame or label people, especially the Yorubas in this case of Lagos. My home village is in the outskirts of Lagos, Ado-Odo Ota LGA, I also reminiscence of the good old days when my village was calm, quiet and safe. Lagos swallowed us up completely. There would have been no problem if we have a system that integrate all the citizens of Nigeria. But the struggle for scarce resource has fueled the division. I find it sad when people treat Lagos and it’s environs with disdain or call it no man’s land, when that is all some of us have, we have nowhere else to go. I live in Rome, a very cosmopolitan city, but it is not acceptable to shun their language and culture because it is a cosmopolitan city….that is where the saying comes from: when you are in Rome…you do like the Romans! The natives of Lagos and its environs have accommodated many people from Nigeria….iI personally think t is the disrespect that is causing problem.
Unfortunately, our useless politicians use this to divide and rule. I think enlightened people like us should work together to claim back our country Nigeria.
The Igbos and indeed everyone should feel welcomed everywhere, it is every one’s right and dignity. We all travel and we all love to be well received, so we must give this same good treatment to others. God bless you and your family.

As we navigate through life, it is important to accept that we do not know the future, and we will make mistakes along the way. Even in the way we communicate things happening to us during content creation. No matter how real people perceive others, there are still some parts of their insecurities that they will not share. There are things we will never know in full even after living in a place for 20 years. So, being careful with making some statements is important, so we don't feel the need to come and speak about things we have said in the past. By the way, a white dominated place is mostly places that have most cases of racism n hence ppl avoid them. So, there is no need to say that is why the city is good. May God continue to protect us all.

Igbo people are always blaming others but themselves. I think you have a lot of problems as a people. You seem to be very entitled and you overdo it. How do you see yourselves as less tribalistic than the other ethnic groups that hosted you? It is ridiculous. We must have a national dialogue to iron these things out. It is not by force to cobble up with a people that find it uncomfortable to have you around.

You can't say something provocative or offensive & expect people to not react b'cos we are one Nigeria. Rather, b'cos we are one Nigeria we should learn to respect each other.

In my opinion, the USA , a country where people go about with guns vs the UK where people go about with knives.
No place like home- I know that a day like this will come.
I have always told people in diaspora to invest back home even when you have dual citizenship because the world leaders of today are no longer interested in making the world a global village of peace but hatred , destruction, hate and taking us back to the old centuries where kingdoms are conquered.
The Ibo tribe build mansons in their villages should in case you lose your business by unwarranted attacks, you have a place to run to and restrategise.
The Ukraine scenario should be an eye opener; no country is immune to citizens uprising.
Too much of everything is bad, youths of countries where the govt. give free money for idling about will some day claim that they are being cheated.

By all means, develop your land - that is important - but you must not see that as the cure for tribalism. If people's mindset doesn't change, the same problem will rear its head even in your homeland.

The best thing is for the country to split or restructure. As a proud Igbo I have never believed in Nigeria when I spent close to one year aged 13 in the UK and started to piece together the history of the nation. I have good friends from most Tribes and I cherish them but I know 85% of Nigerians do not have the open minded progressive mindset we have.

Igbos needs to open up Southeast to all Nigerians to feel welcoming and be able to buy and settle down easily. The way things are Southeast is a close society where Nigerians no one knows what is going on there. Southwest, Southsouth, and the Northern states simply allow non- indigines to thrive, and this was exploited by the Igbos to move to these areas and kick-start the movement of the Igbos to different parts of Nigeria. Now, it is time for the Igbos to open up Southeast and address the issues of land rights in their states. Otherwise, the 'Igbos must go' agenda will continue until they restructure and allow other Nigeria to settle in their region like they do in Southewest, Southsouth, and the North.

@gerardonochie3408 Igbos are the only ones with the progressive mindset because they flooded other parts of Nigeria to tradings. That gives them the accolade to say they have progressive mindset. I doubt! Igbos should learn from other tribes as there are a lot of Yorubas living in the North and other countries, and they hardly interfere in politics that goes on in their host states. As for the Igbos, they interfere with things that do not concern them. Lagos state is an example. Igbos should stay on their lane and not poke their nose on the politics of Southwestern states. It will surely burn their fingers.

    • @thespiritualartofwar
      @thespiritualartofwar หลายเดือนก่อน

@adekunleyussuf4259 You are bringing in lies again. Igbos that live in Lagos have the right to vote for any candidate on the ballot. You have a problem with that because you don't truly believe that Igbos should do any voting outside of Igboland. Just be direct & say it. The Oba of Lagos made threats against Igbos to vote for his candidate of choice. Yet, you Yorubas push "One Nigeria" but clearly don't believe in democracy. If this happened in the USA, Canada or the UK... you would be in the wrong.

From Portugal, I want to travel through Europe, maybe live in Italy for three months, Portugal for six ( I have to because of the residency), then spend one month in Africa, one month in Asia, and one month in South America. I have already been to 12 countries in Africa. I would like keeps visiting Africa. I just came from a trio in Asia, where I visited 7 countries. That gave me the desire to keep visiting Asia. My goal is to live in two different countries for 9 months, then travel for 3 months in other countries. I don't see myself living in one country for now. I don't say never, but my need now is to live in two countries and travel a couple of months in between.

Someone went to Lagos and saw how dry the place was, because a large percentage of the igbos has travelled and he made a post on Twitter now X about it.

Oga it's a government funded station what do you expect them to do? Be anti government, do BBC not do the same ? Be calming down.

@@akinawojobi2789No dear I said what I said because I know what I mean. Battling an external enemy is easier than battling the enemy within. I can never and will not watch NTA NEWS. Like Adaeze said, I would rather watch American/foreign news. NTA very disheartening.

My man doesn't understand when I tell him he is lucky to be born in his country😂. Nigeria have made us see unrest in foreign countries as a small thing. I mean it's not easy at all. I keep saying Nigerians are the strongest in the world not just physically but mentally cause if it's other nationals born in Nigeria they would have gone gaga.

@Adaeze - You are wrong. Nigeria is not a country or "our country". That is what I find very puzzling about many Nigerians who were born and bred and did not leave Nigeria until their late 20s or 30s. There is a saying "A people suffer for lack of knowledge". Your husband is right no where is safe but "A person is more likely to defend their home than defend themselves in a foreign land". Trust me UK is even safe these days spare a thought for what things may have been like in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s even 1990s'.
