A legendary coach and a great person. Every lifter should go and buy his book with Brian Dobson, Metroflex Gym Powerbuilding Basics --- it has a TON of different programs and exercises!
Yeah, it honestly has 53 different routines/workouts. My favorite routine from the book is number 8, which is Josh's deadlift program that he used to take his deadlift from 600 to 661. It's an 18 week once a week back-day type of program.
What about the Big Black Bear James Williams who bench press 675lbs almost 50 year no straps are supplements or steroids and all time best bench at a meet was 720lbs unofficially!
Kirill sarychev??? I know he is heavy but cmon he is holding the all time wr.You know its one thing someone to bench from 200 kg to 235 kg,but its whole other thing to bench from 300 kg to 335.Not the same 35 kg if you ask me
I've bought about 30 or so ebooks. 2 are from Josh Bryant. 1.) MetroFlex Gym: Powerbuilding Basics = Best fucking ebook ever! By far! 2.) Bench Press: The Science = WORST fucking ebook ever! By far! Still pissed about having spent $10.95 (about 3-4 years ago) on this ebook that was probably written while roasting marshmallows.
Really no one talks about custom benches here, just going To LA fitness or Golds etc, your not going to be able to geta Perfect for you bench with Safety Bars
You seem to get the point but a dead press is utilized to eliminate the stretch reflex that you gain on the eccentric. Your sets will be at a little lower weight then your max on reg bench
Honestly just stared at his bicep the whole time
anthony the torn side?
dude needed a better surgeon lol
Annette Tibbetts yep
No homo
@King Kardashian okay but biceps look good
Josh Bryant is in my opinion one of the most knowledgeable in the area of exercise
He's one of the only people I've ever seen who's biceps are so big his sleeves roll themselves up.
That is a great quote "Experience doesn't dictate competency".
More videos with josh Bryant!!!
He is awesome.
I hope you coach mark and get him to 600! Awesome seeing James Strickland in an ST video, he is my favorite powerlifter!

What about the Big Black Bear James Williams who bench press 675lbs almost 50 year no straps are supplements or steroids and all time best bench at a meet was 720lbs unofficially!
LISTEN TO THIS MAN! I've been doing his breakdown method. Its destroying me in a good way.
Need to do a new video with Josh since he's taken on athletes like Derek & Shane Hunt
If Jocko Willink had a brother, it would be him
why close grip bench when all powerlifters go wide af?
Not all, but besides that it overloads the triceps and helps lockout.
@@anthonyclark9159 ye but those fat bench pressers use to go close grip while IPF powerlifters all i see is wide grip
Kirill sarychev??? I know he is heavy but cmon he is holding the all time wr.You know its one thing someone to bench from 200 kg to 235 kg,but its whole other thing to bench from 300 kg to 335.Not the same 35 kg if you ask me

What is a 'dead' bench press, just a super long pause?
Shown in the video @ 10:06. Keep watching.
Thanks bro, just a bench press done off pins,
Needs to start off the pins to avoid elastic energy.
You seem to get the point but a dead press is utilized to eliminate the stretch reflex that you gain on the eccentric. Your sets will be at a little lower weight then your max on reg bench
Also called a pin press, only you start at the bottom, not the top.
PLEASE CHANGE MUSIC WHILE TALKING USE IT FOR FILLING DEAD AIR OR SOMETHING OR LOWER VOLUME
whoops caps on
Sit up straight!
What's up with his shirt?
Hayden DIckey ...yo momma!
Anybody could learn something from him
Good video. It would be nice to know what steroids are these guys using before talking about benching.
Whatever you sampled for the background music is really fucking annoying to listen to while one of the best strength coaches on the planet is talking
there is really no method here
Is he breast feeding atm ?
Nah. Kirill is the GOAT
Not anymore
Why the hell was this in my notifications
