Puffco Peak Pro 3DXL followup Review
The Peak Pro was already the undisputed king of concentrates, but that didn't stop Puffco from just dropping a huge upgrade for it. As of August 2024, the Peak Pro now includes the 3D XL chamber, which was previously a $125 upgrade, as the stock chamber included in the kit-all while maintaining the same retail price of $420.
I've been using the Peak Pro for a little over a year now and have gone through at least a thousand uses with this 3D XL chamber. It’s been a while since I released my in-depth review, which I’ll link below, and this refreshed kit is a good opportunity for a follow up.
In this video, I'll share why I think that the Peak Pro is one of the best concentrate devices in the world right now, and also, one thing that could have been better. Lastly, I'll also give you some usage tips to get the most out of the Peak or any other portable rig you may be using.

Puffco is by far the best in its class. i have over 7k on my 3dxl longest lasting chamber in my experience. I have the original peak pro kinda just waiting on it to die, but it's been 3 years. lol think it's time for the new one. I hear it's even better, and I like that it comes with the 3dxl now.
KEEP IT CLEAN, it will last longer with regular cleaning.. iv done a deep cleaning after every 150 dabs with 99% iso
Would also highly recommend the battery if your traveling it dubbles as a stand great if you have a bigger topper, it makes it more stable and keeps it charged

@@leftlovers9137 the hot knife gets over hated and has been my favorite puffco product. You can get much cheaper versions but the puffco ceramic tip is the most efficient in terms of not wasting wax.
Hot knife is awesome but after so much use they’ll eventually break I’ve gone through 2 of em in about 3 years so they do last a pretty long while.. IDK if it’s the heating element or the battery but they just eventually die. I forget the name of the brand but my buddy has these hot knifes that allows you to change out the tips. Maybe check it out bro!

Alot people complain about the connectivity but you could just save the heat profile to the device without ever having to use the app

I switch between rosin and live resin modes/temps daily. The app is a must for me so the connectivity issues can be annoying.

ive got this setup (in flourish) and it does indeed produce crazy hits. ive had some issues with chamber connectivity which can be pretty annoying.
as for the mouthpiece angle, i bought a whip for it from jcvap
I have the flourish one to got mine in July been having disconnection issues out the box I have 2054 dabs with the same chamber. I still deal with disconnection issues it hope upgrading to a 3dxl helps with the disconnection problem.

@SoL600rr I got it it's Great I just love how easy it is to use 20sec warm up time Easy to clean you just take off the glass and the chamber Only thing I can complain about is the price and the Battery could be better Definitely recommend waiting for It's to be on sale Also recommend getting the XL 3D Chamber

It’s may not be perfect. But it’s probably the best device we have at the moment. App connectivity/battery could be improved but other than that it’s great. Remember to take care of the device they aren’t meant to be abused!

I love my puffco peak pro flourish, but I recently was gifted a brand new 3DXL did the firmware updates on both my flourish peak pro and my peak pro and now I can’t use any atomizers the brand new 3dxl with nothing in it starts smoking and a almost plastic burning smell. Even a brand new peak pro atomizer that i had stored i tried and still the same thing terrible smell and smoking like crazy even with nothing inside the bucket.
5:53 is it for cleanliness/efficiency that you recommend not scraping? I often to and try to be gentle. Or are you just trying to recommend as many puffco products in the video as you can so they smile upon you lol. I’m going to get a hot knife any way very soon but am I damaging my chamber?
It says in the instructions to not scrape the chamber in a pretty important way but if your gentle enough it won’t do anything
personally, I would not hit the puffco without water. I do not like dry hot hits lol

a bunch of devices are better than puffco, i recommend carta v2. its literally half the price and is just way better overall.

Seasoned peak pro user here - My rating is for sure 9/10 - I’ve gone through 3 atomisers in 5 months, other than that they are a work of art and are so so efficient
Can’t be efficient if you bought 3 atomizers in 5 months bro. Mine was the same and I clean mine religiously, now it just collects dust

I replaced it once because my editor took it home and never returned it 🤣
I'm at 996 hits on my pro and still have the same 3dxl chamber. I clean it after every dab with 2 dry qtips.
What’s the lowest temperature setting?
Got my pearl when these new v2’s came out two years ago. I’m thinking it’s a battery low voltage issue I’m having. I can only get it to last 3/4 of a dab before it does the 3 red blinks and shuts off. Pretty much been doing that since 6 months in. Even with brand new chambers. Everything was perfect when I purchased it. I think the update for the 3dxl chamber has an untraceable ghost glitch that causes voltage loss towards the end of the heating cycle. Tried puffco support. Basically worthless. They just tell me to do hard reset n don’t warranty anything past a month basically.

no hate but the puffco just doesn't hit hard at all. You said it best yourself, one issue you have is the mouthpiece being too straight and if you tilt it you cannot vaporize the optimal amount. Which is ironically funny because puffco is the only device that does that. Every other high end device such as carta v2 has a cermanic atomizer, which actually heats the entire atomizer instead of puffco which only heats up the sides and the bottom. I think you should do a comparison between puffco peak pro v2 and carta v2. The carta v2 lasts more than 1,000 sessions btw, im at 2,500 sessions and continuing
No hate, but the Puffco simply has tastier vapor. That’s due to the fact it only heats the sides up and not the bottom. This allows for a more controller temperature, as was as indirect heat

Overrated. I have both this and a New Peak. I prefer the hits from the New Peak. Yeah, it’s a smaller atomizer, aka smaller dabs and it excels. I tend to leave the Pro Storm sitting because my New Peak is just easier and has a long battery life. And screw the phone app. Put a small screen a la the Carta 2 so we can change settings on the fly
