THis whole concert was amazing, it made we wish I'd been born 10 years earlier so maybe I acutally could have been there to see it for real. Instead I got it in VHS when the show was released, ALL TWO HOURS of it, and then when VHS went obsolete I got it again on DVD and I STILL immerse myself in it every year. The whole thing was just astounding, it's all worth visiting. The opening salvo especially, coming out guns blazing with One Vision, is just INCREDIBLE, they started as strong as the went on; then there's Is This the World We Created?, so beautiful, just Freddie and Brian solo on an acoustic guitar, but my absolute favourite has to be the true showstopper of Radio Gaga, with the WHOLE CROWD all clapping along in unison. It's a genuinely transcendental experience ...
You recognize the hook of the song because Vanilla Ice sampled it for "ICE, ICE BABY". Queen = Sheer Perfection! Freddie.... Probably THE BEST Frontman of All-Time!! Hands-down. Cheers Biss!
Queen live is an awesome experience, but I can't get over the duet with David Bowie on this song. Both of them do an amazing job with this song and that is my favorite Queen song!
Saw them do this at Madison Square Garden in July 1982. This us from their album "Hot Space" from 1982. Vanilla sampled, stole, the hook about 10 years later. Each and every member was equally represented in their music. Check out "I'm in Love With My Car" Roger sings lead on that one.
The opening 'call and response' segment was also used during the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. 26 years after the original the crowd responded just the same to great man, even though he was no longer with us. Also according to Brian & Roger, John came up with the bass line while they were having a general jam, they went out for the evening for "some refreshments" and when they returned he promptly forgot how it went! Thankfully for us, he did remember it in the end!
Hello dear Biscute 🙂 great to see you on the musical track of Queen songs , last week every fan of Queen mentioned 77th birthday of Freddie Mercury , to remember how great he is , i listened few songs from this live concert and like always blow me away , just like Brian May once said , that the two nights live performance in Wembley was and still is the biggest thrill for him. Speaking of this song , it is so energetic from the beggining to the very end , as for crowd control by Freddie there's no words , amazing reaction by you dear Biscute , hoping to see more of Queen live from Wembley 🙂another band member of Queen Brian May almost two months ago celebrated his 76th birthday , can you please make a reaction of Brian May legendary 9 minutes guitar solo of the song Brighton Rock live in Wembley , you will love it 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing with all of us music of her majesty the Queen 🙂
They all appreciated each other's talent and Roger and Freddie were best friends. According to Roger they have never had a cross word, but Freddie and Brian the 2 perfectionists! Freddie was the man of the quick solutions while Brian liked to fiddle around with his guitar.
It's true. Drummer Roger Taylor was the one who hit the high notes on several songs, especially Somebody to Love. On Bohemian Rhapsody there are several vocals recorded by Mercury in addition to the others on the chorus. all very good singers.
I was never able to see Queen live, but I did get to see David Bowie at a smaller venue in the 90s and he played this with his bassist. Even with half the song, it is still amazing.
Under pressure is the original song! Ice Ice baby was sampled by vanilla ice! You really need to react to the version with David Bowie, it's another level of emotions!
Great reaction Biss! Under pressure is great song from waaaay before ice ice baby. Freddy Mercury was a genius! This definitely takes me back to my youth! V. Ice borrowed the Riff for ice ice baby. Happens alot to older songs! Luv ya Biss ❤️💛
Ooooh yeeeaaah, Queen with Freddie was not just a band, it was a phenomenon! 🤟 As you said, Biss, Freddie was a powerhouse, in every aspect! 😎💪 And I'm also particularly happy that you recognize the drummer Roger Taylor as being a vital component to the vocal delivery of their live shows! Thank you, Biss, for that ... especially since I'm a drummer doing complementary vocals myself ... 😁😉
Someone said he had a terrible cold during this concert so that explains that he didn't reach the usual vocal heights. It is really impressive though! ! Great reaction by the always beautiful Bisscute ❤
You got the right Concert night, Saturday (there where two). Love the way you enjoy Queen! I will follow you, pls go through the all Concert! Song by song, is amazing!
No other live performer than Freddie. An amazing song especially the studio version with David Bowie. Other songs I recommend are Headlong, I Want it All, and Friends will be Friends. Great reaction Biss !! ❤👏
Vanilla Ice used this bassline in his song Ice, Ice Baby without permission and without crediting the original artists which ended up costing him a lot of money. John Deacon wrote that bass line and the song is credited to Queen and David Bowie. He later claimed that he bought the rights to Under Pressure which is not true, he bought the right to use it in that song only, the song rights still belong to Queen and David Bowie. Roger and Freddie were friends and business partners way back in the early years and they never really argued or fought. The fighting was between Roger and Brian and it was a constant thing. Funny because it was Brian and Roger's band before Freddie joined them and it is now Roger and Brian still touring together today. Roger has a temper and Brian can be stubborn and will just eventually wear you down. Freddie was generally the peacemaker in the mix. Freddie and Brian often had difficulty agreeing but they were not really hateful to one another but Brian and Roger were like gasoline and a match. John didn't fight a lot but when he did, he had no intention of losing the battle. Roger does have a very high falsetto and does sing the highest notes on Bohemian Rhapsody but often in Queen songs, Freddie sings the high notes, it just depends on the song. Brian, Roger and Freddie are all lead vocalists but in Queen, Freddie was usually singing lead.
I was there, in the front & it was amazing, still have the cup he threw at me. Vanilla Ice stole the sample without asking & Queen took him to court. They settled out of court for a few million. Vanilla Ice tried to say it didn’t sound anything like this song, all he had to do was ask if he could use it & give credit to the original writers. He may have had to pay for it? But not as much as the court settlement 🤘🏼♥️🤘🏼xx
Ice ice baby by Vanilla ice is only a version of revival with rapped modification they only used the sound as a back round of rapped version..that's the original version under pressure by Queen.🎼🎶🌺💗🙌
Except he owns the rights to the songs and makes money off any commercial usage of it. When he was threatened with a copyright suit, he bought the rights from Brian May. He paid $4 million for the rights to Under Pressure after he'd already made $10 million off of Ice Ice Baby.
@@lumina1104 BS !!!He owns nothing. He was found guilty of copyright infringement and had to pay a $4,500,000 settlement. He DOES NOT OWN THE RIGHTS!!!
This whole concert is worth for you to sit down and see from start to end, it's pretty much perfect. Even though it is quite obvious when you listen to Freddies singing that he started to show some signs of not being all that well at that point. The band was like a family, and of course they had arguments and so on. But at the end of the day, they were well aware of the importance of being that group and how they meshed into a perfect unit. In the 70's it was more common for Roger and Brian to take the lead vocals on songs they've written. In the early 80's Roger released his own solo album, and I can only guess that it gave him his creative output and became more comfortable with giving Freddie the lead vocals on his songs in the Queen camp, like Radio Ga Ga and A Kind of Magic. The version of AKOM that he had mixed was used in the Highlander movie, Freddie went into the studio and made a remix of it and that became the official version which Roger was fully OK with. And that is a great live song from Wembley that you should check out if you haven't already. 🙂
Queen, unlike almost any other band, all got on like a house on fire. The fact that all the members were writers with an equal say in the band kept the harmony. Too many bands get too precious about things, Queen had no ego about being accepting a song from just one member, or just two and still wrote other tracks collectively. To me that us what made them so special. Even with a bonafide musical GENIUS like Freddie in the band Roger could write songs or John or Brian or any combo of the four. That meant that the money the band made split evenly too. Too many bands ruin themselves with the attitude that the bass player or the drummer CAN'T write stuff.
So glad you reacted to this Biss. Freddie Mercury enjoyed the crowd so much and had more confidence in front of 100,000 people, while I was scared shitless and couldn't sleep the night before having to give a speech in front of 25 people in class. His on-stage presence is legendary.
Bisscute, as is explained in other comments, Vanilla Ice “sampled” that great riff from Under Pressure. What a shame and a farce. Vanilla who? Queen rules!
I don't know if Roger Taylor was under appreciated in the band. I'm kind of guessing here, but from what I remember hearing, the real conflicts in the band were more about musical style and direction, because Freddie wanted to do more pop, and then he went through his operatic phase, where the other guys were more rock. Other than that, and you know, probably issues related to drugs and alcohol, which was par for the course in those days, it seemed like Queen were a pretty tight band that got along and valued each other. In footage you see, it actually always seems like Freddie and Roger are always goofing around and more playful with each other, where as Brian and John seem a little more mellow and reserved.
In fact there was very good balance in that. Roger and Brian were more to the rock, Freddie and John more to pop / disco / funk. That is sometimes mentioned as one of the reasons why John left the band after Freddie died. He was affraid he would not be able to his music any more. But who knows :)
"Can't we give ourselves one more chance? Why can't we give love that one more chance? Why can't we give love, give love, give love, give love Give love, give love, give love, give love, give love? Because love's such an old-fashioned word And love dares you to care for The people on the (People on streets) edge of the night And love (People on streets) dares you to change our way of Caring about ourselves This is our last dance This is our last dance This is ourselves under pressure" This is without a doubt one of the greatest lyrics ever written.
When that horrible Ice Ice Baby came out on Mtv by Vanilla ice...I shouted it was ripped off from Queen. What was sad was how many people didn't know what i was talking about!!! Anyway this has two of my favorite performers/singers EVER. Bowie and Mercury were two of the best music ever had. Thanks Biss. Great reaction. Too cute❤.
We often tend to think about what we have lost when an artist like Freddy Mercury passes, but I think it is just as important to acknowledge how fortunate we are to have all the amazing work they contributed, legacy which still endores. For all those who have enriched our lives with their talents and passion, I salute you. ✌️
Queen came out with this song first. Vanilla Ice sampled the riff for his song. I think that the guitarist, Brian and Freddy were friends and fought a lot. The highest notes were probably Freddie Mercury. He had a full three octaves range.
Newer music is catered to younger generations. That's probably why you heard Vanilla Ice's music sooner/more than Queen's. People tend to attribute something they've heard or seen before to the incarnation they first were exposed to it for, regardless of which source produced it first.
There is a live version of this song, I think from Live AID, with David Bowie on stage singing his part. You should give that version a watch when you get a chance, it’s a great rock dust.
@@davidace5444 I just rewatched the performance from Live Aid, just search Queen Bowie Under Pressure Live Aid and multiple videos will pop up, or google it.
You might be thinking of the tribute concert they did for Freddie in 1992. That was the only time Bowie performed the song live with the rest of the band.
@@Panda_man.. nope, my mistake. There’s a fan edit video that splices Queen’s 1986 Wembley performance with the 1992 tribute concert that’s done fairly well, at least good enough to fool my 38 year old memories of watching the concert on TV.
Vanilla Ice bought the rights to “Under Pressure” and gave credit to Bowie and Queen on “Ice Ice Baby”. Different versions of “Ice Ice Baby” have been released over the years, and the songwriting credits still go to Queen and Bowie.
The bass line was originally written by Queen's bassist John Deacon. Ice T “stole” this bass line. There's always a story that Freddie was eating breakfast when he heard Ice T's "Vanilla" on the radio and he smiled and called his lawyers. Ice T had to pay a lot of money so that he could continue to use this bass line.
The bass line was something that John Deacon (Queen’s bass guitarist) was apparently messing around playing one day when they were trying to write a song with David Bowie, and they liked it so used it. The song-writing credit was the 4 members of Queen and David Bowie. Vanilla Ice sampled the bass guitar without getting permission and after the song was released, he was sued and lost, they were paid a fee plus given writing credit on Ice Ice Baby and got a share of any money the song made
As other's have mentioned, this song came WAY before Ice Ice Baby! He claimed to put in an extra note on it. John Deacon came up with that bass line. Vanilla Ice got sued and had to settle out of court for it.
When I was teaching I would play music in my room as the students worked at their desk and the kids knew one sure way to get under my skin was when this song would come on someone would say “oh it’s Vanilla Ice” or “it’s Ice Ice Baby”. They knew I was fighting the urge to yell STFU at them. I would just glare and then we would both laugh. People assume because I’m a U.S. History teacher if I could time travel I’d go witness the signing of the Declaration of Independence or something similar but if I could time travel that concert would be my destination!
Dear Bisscute, please be assured that after watching many of your videos and reactions AND if I was maybe 20 years younger I would certainly come over and ask for a date at the Ice cream parlor nearby - assuming there is one ;-) Go on with your great work! You are doing well in showing your natural reactions and feelings. When this concert took place nobody would ever have thought of somekind of reaction video to it. We live in a strange world nowadays, don't we?
Ice Ice baby came out about a decade later. And was stolen from this band. Queen's drummer and the band as a whole gave so much in their performances. Multi-talented geniuses were Queen.
According to Brian May (guitar) of Queen, the internal conflicts were always between him and Roger Taylor (drums)... which is surprising, since they still work together! Each member of Queen wrote songs for the band and all 4 were college educated, opinionated and egotistical... so there was tension and disagreements from day 1 (Even according to Freddie Mercury)... John Deacon (bass) was a very quiet, gentle fellow and he would stay out of the arguments, unless he had a song to contribute. Freddie was a very creative talent, and he would hear the songs in the studio, come up w/ ideas and go, "We can do this... we can try that..." The other members thought he was "quite mad"... but they couldn't deny what he brought to the band. From what I gathered, Roger Taylor would bring a song in, and Brian May would express his dissatisfaction... Roger would do the same w/ Brian's songs... Freddie would have to come in between and placate the 2 and reach a compromise. But that was why Queen's songs came out better - it was that creative tension that made the band's chemistry. Sometimes they would express dissatisfaction w/ Freddie's songs and he would argue, and that was how the band worked. In the 80's, Freddie was interviewed and dispelled rumors that Queen was breaking up because of 'infighting'... He clarified that they had been fights from day one and it was not a concern. The turning point was when Freddie demanded time off to work on his solo albums in the early 80's and began working on his solo album 'Mr. Bad Guy'... Queen was not happy w/ the album 'Hot space' (1981) because it was pop record and a mess, but Freddie wanted to make that kind of record. Freddie's personal manager Paul Prenter (whom the members of Queen hated for his manipulation of the late singer) convinced Freddie that he could have Michael Jackson's success in the wake of 'Thriller'... so, Freddie began work on it in 1983, but he was frustrated w/ the end result and it was not released until 1985 and was a commercial failure. By 1984, a frustrated Freddie Mercury reconciled w/ Queen members and recognized that the band's songwriting chemistry was what was missing... After a band meeting, the consensus was that Queen would collaborate in the studio and share credits on songs, because each member writing songs and coming to the band was not working anymore. Queen's next album 'The Works' was a welcome return in 1984, but the band had fallen in popularity in N. America and opted not to tour there anymore after MTV refused to air the music video for 'I want to break free'... But Queen was huge in S. America and played there in 1985 and the tour culminated in the Live Aid '85 show. Apparently, Freddie finally fired Paul Prenter in 1986...Queen worked on the album 'A kind of magic' and it was difficult... Of course, we now know that it was Queen's last tour in '86 and Freddie took time off and was diagnosed w/ AIDS in 1987. After he revealed his diagnosis to the band and his small inner circle, Freddie wanted to keep working on new music... Realizing that they had little time as a band, Queen closed ranks and worked in the studio... and there was reportedly no fighting in the final years because they were desperate and concerned. Freddie deteriorated in health, but kept working into 1991 until he was unable to... He returned to the UK where he died a few months later.
Hello Miss Bisscute ( Madalina) & Subscribers 😁👍👍😎 This is definitely a Great song he Also performed with David Bowie, Yet there is A song you might Enjoy called ( Falling in Love ) from the the Movie ( Labyrinth ) a very Fun movie 🎥🍿 As always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😀🎵🎶🎸
I don't think there was any drama between any of the band members at least concerning the who sang what. But there is somewhat a story about one song, which you definitely shoud react to. Which is sung by Roger Taylor, the drummer (you were correct his name is Roger) The song is called I'm in love with my car. It is a fun rock song about Roger s love for cars. But back in the day it was the b-side of the Bohemian Rhapsody single, and it was credited to Roger. So since Bohemani sold A LOT and alot of royality money to the songs writers and since I'm in love with my car was on that single, it sold alot and Roger got ALOT of money as well from that. I think that might have created some tension then. But later in their career they started to credit the whole band for every song, regardless of who wrote and they said it was much better.
You should check out The Foo Fighters live cover of this. They have a guy in the crowd dressed like Freddie and they get him up on stage. Taylor Hawkins takes the lead vocals and Dave Grohl plays drums.

Freddie mercury who is missed a lot who left too soon R.I.P 🤘🏻🖤
I remember driving to work and hearing on the radio that he had died. It just blew my mind. The man was a legend.
Wembley '86 the best concert I've been, and the first one too 🤭
The opening 'call and response' segment was also used during the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
Hi Biss, this is a great video with Freddie getting his fans involved in the performance. ❤
Queen made some of the best and iconic Live performances!
Stop saying "sampled" It's called stollen and then lied about---copyright infringement.
As you said, Biss, Freddie was a powerhouse, in every aspect! 😎💪
And I'm also particularly happy that you recognize the drummer Roger Taylor as being a vital component to the vocal delivery of their live shows!
Thank you, Biss, for that ... especially since I'm a drummer doing complementary vocals myself ... 😁😉
1981
vanilla stole the bass riff
Exactly that thank you 😁👌
Roger took the vocal lead in "I'm in love with my car", it's an awesome song!
Freddie was a master at working the crowd.Vanilla Ice stole the opening riff and Queen sued.
You have to react to the live aid concert. One of the best live performances by any band ever!😊
Someone said he had a terrible cold during this concert so that explains that he didn't reach the usual vocal heights. It is really impressive though! ! Great reaction by the always beautiful Bisscute ❤
Just wanted to see your reaction to Freddie vocalizing with the crowd, and the F bomb he dropped at the end.
What a legend Freddie
Never. Ever. Ever say Ice Ice Baby during Under Pressure.
Except he owns the rights to the songs and makes money off any commercial usage of it. When he was threatened with a copyright suit, he bought the rights from Brian May. He paid $4 million for the rights to Under Pressure after he'd already made $10 million off of Ice Ice Baby.
I Fucking hate it
@@lumina1104 BS !!!He owns nothing. He was found guilty of copyright infringement and had to pay a $4,500,000 settlement. He DOES NOT OWN THE RIGHTS!!!
As someone has already stated here, they were all equal and all 4 of them knew their place - and liked it and were true friends
What makes Freddie's performance amazing is that he was already very ill and wasn't sure he'd be able to perform.
Anyone who is not jamming to this one is not alive 🤨 Awesome reaction (as usual), you are the best ❤🤘
Muito bom relembrar do Freddie Mercury assim. Entreter a multidão era o que ele fazia de melhor.
Vanilla Ice?....Oh sweetie. I'm getting old.
Hi Bisscute!
I recommend the reaction of the same song only.
With David Bowie & Gail Ann Dorsey - Live in Dublin.
You will go crazy with this version
Why can't we give love, give love, give love, give love
Give love, give love, give love, give love, give love?
Because love's such an old-fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the (People on streets) edge of the night
And love (People on streets) dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves under pressure"
This is without a doubt one of the greatest lyrics ever written.
Too cute❤.
Saw Queen in 1976 and this is my favorite Queen song
We often tend to think about what we have lost when an artist like Freddy Mercury passes, but I think it is just as important to acknowledge how fortunate we are to have all the amazing work they contributed, legacy which still endores. For all those who have enriched our lives with their talents and passion, I salute you. ✌️
Watching you realize that this is the original...priceless :)
Excellent song with an excellent message!!
Nice performance Freddy is Legend 💪
Pressure makes diamonds, and I’m still wondering when ... 😊 let’s go humanity! Love light truth. 👍
Music and no-talent "Vanilla Ice" is an oxymoron. He sells lamps now.
Iconic performance ever seen !
There is a live version of this song, I think from Live AID, with David Bowie on stage singing his part. You should give that version a watch when you get a chance, it’s a great rock dust.
they never performed this song live with bowie
@@davidace5444 I just rewatched the performance from Live Aid, just search Queen Bowie Under Pressure Live Aid and multiple videos will pop up, or google it.
You might be thinking of the tribute concert they did for Freddie in 1992. That was the only time Bowie performed the song live with the rest of the band.
@@Panda_man.. nope, my mistake. There’s a fan edit video that splices Queen’s 1986 Wembley performance with the 1992 tribute concert that’s done fairly well, at least good enough to fool my 38 year old memories of watching the concert on TV.
"This is Ice Ice Baby" 😆 A lot of Rap/Hip Hop songs sample old songs. Just the way it goes.
Biss, Roger Taylor the drummer sang really high notes than Freddie didn't do. As great a singer that Freddie was, even he had his limits.
just not in his imagination!
Listen to the album version, the only way to hear with Bowie singing.
Good morning bisscute....... thank you for watching the video ......I nice to meet you. ..... Bravo .....😊😅😂
Easy... When did Vanilla Ice (cream) released "Ice Ice Baby"? This is an 86 concert, right? There's your answer
Freddy Mercury was a spectacular showman. His talents are dearly missed.
You referenced Ice Ice Baby!😍 Love it! you get where Vanilla Ice got his inspiration.
Vanilla Ice was 14 years old when this song was released. He sampled it to make Ice Ice Baby.
Queen's guitarist Dr Brian May is one of the lead scientists exploring the most dangerous asteroid in the solar system.
Freddie was a very creative talent, and he would hear the songs in the studio, come up w/ ideas and go, "We can do this... we can try that..."
The other members thought he was "quite mad"... but they couldn't deny what he brought to the band.
I watched the full concert when i was eleven in 1986 I've got the full concert on Blu-ray
SUCH JOY
Please try to see this concert. It's available on Blu Ray and streaming. Wembly 1986. This and the Live Aid set are amazing. Live Aid was 1985
Hello Miss Bisscute ( Madalina) & Subscribers 😁👍👍😎
This is definitely a Great song he Also performed with David Bowie, Yet there is A song you might Enjoy called ( Falling in Love ) from the the Movie ( Labyrinth ) a very Fun movie 🎥🍿
As always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😀🎵🎶🎸
The Queen song One Vision is a good song that I believe you would also like a lot!!!
What a legendary bass line! Great Mr. John Deacon!
"This is ice ice baby"
Someone end my life please
Thanks for your reaction:)
I don't think there was any drama between any of the band members at least concerning the who sang what.
But there is somewhat a story about one song, which you definitely shoud react to. Which is sung by Roger Taylor, the drummer (you were correct his name is Roger) The song is called I'm in love with my car. It is a fun rock song about Roger
s love for cars.
But later in their career they started to credit the whole band for every song, regardless of who wrote and they said it was much better.
maybe also react to Under Pressure ft. Annie Lennox & David Bowie - Live Freddie Mercury Tribute 1992
I just started following you and I loved your reactions, your way of being and smiling just fall in love. Greetings from Mexico
You were even more adorable than usual in this one! LOL
Never change!
Freddy was "warming up" and working the crowd. There will never be another Freddy. "There Can Be Only One." 😉⚔
You should check out The Foo Fighters live cover of this. They have a guy in the crowd dressed like Freddie and they get him up on stage. Taylor Hawkins takes the lead vocals and Dave Grohl plays drums.
