Sinanju Stein is such an improvement over the original HG kit (it can kneel and the pose looks so natural!!). I have to agree with some commenters that RG Tallgeese could've made the list, at least as an honorable mention. The Moon Gundam to me is like the Hazel Custom (for its time it incorporated new gimmicks we hadn't seen before in HG kits that are now standard). That makes it the equivalent of a concept car which is pretty cool cause it's one you can afford even though it's priced higher than your typical HG.
I want the Moon Gundam and RG Sazabi. I really hope Bandai does a RG of the Nu Gundam as I just got to watch this last year Chars Counterattack. I also hope for a revive of the Re-GZ.
I'd say odds are excessively high for Nu given that we got Sazabi. Would be nice if they based it off the Ver. Ka. Also I hope to see a MG moon gundam.
It's definitely really good and I enjoy it. The thing feels as stable as some high grades. Looking at the review I definitely know that he's not a fan of the proportions compared to the MG. Objectively it's a huge improvement over the Zaku II RG I have, but I don't have enough RGs to know how much of that jump was all at once.

The RE-100 line is easily my favorite. You don't spend a lot, and get a ton of plastic with good details. They make for good display pieces, but especially for detailing/customizing. I have barely watched any of the cartoons so I just pick out the ones I think look cool. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the Vigna. I didn't know it was a smaller suit.
Beau Hindman For me the RE-100 line is a hit or miss for me. Some of the kits may be great (Gundam Mk.III, Dijeh, Gun EZ), and some not so great (Hamma Hamma, Nightningale)
For those like me that jumped on the RG Sazabi train late, be aware that the leg construction is finicky as shit. It didn't break on me or anything, but it's a little tricky to get the armor on the frame of the legs.

Toxic Atom i personally liked the mobile suit part of the kit. Think its the best looking version of it. That being said, there werent a whole lot of new parts yeah. The galaxy booster is what people judge it on a lot of times. I build mine without it as it looks cheap and bad. Also kinda weak looking. So put the backpack of the star build strike on mine and looks great.
Toxic Atom yeah in a bit. Thats why you dont put them on. Just remove them from the base of the backpack and the only thing thats left is a small grey connection piece for the “straps” going forward. You could file those down if you really want to. I let them there incase i was ever gonna swap it back.

Bandai doesn't adjust prices depending on whether something is P-Bandai or not. While P-Bandai kits are *always* listed at MSRP and *never* discounted, and Japanese retail is always heavily discounted from MSRP, the actual MSRP between comparable retail and P-Bandai kits are identical. 20000 yen plus tax for a "handle-box" kit is about what it'd be on P-Bandai.
Have to disagree with you pal but the HG Moon Gundam is one of the kits that you need to buy!!! There’s a reason why it’s the best kit of 2018 that and the Sazabi. They’re all sold out over here in the States!! And if it’s available it’s way over priced. Also it’s the best HG ever. So yea it’s definitely one of the kits that you need to have in the collection. The building process is amazing 🙌🏻!!!!
The SD EX-Standard line was just bizarre. Reminder that the line was sold exclusively outside of Japan until the 10 of the 15 kits were released. I don't think anyone would take that line over the cross silhouette, especially not the Japanese customers who had to import the kits for almost a year.
my only complaint about the Stormbringer is that it doesn't have a shield. I honestly don't quite understand why there was an F91 2.0, but however it fixes every issue the 1.0 has from the hands and head to the thigh armor exploding off at the touch. I want two Re/100 Vigna Ghina kits because I like the design and want to turn my ancient 1/100 HG Vigna Zirah into a better quality kit with the second one.
The only kits I bought that were released last year are the Woundwort and the AGE II Magnum SV version... both are AMAZING kits! I’m focusing more on 1/700 scale model warships now and not so much gunpla. I still love gunpla the same way as before 😂😂
Anybody that says F91 2.0 is not an improvement over the original is basing that solely off of aesthetics. If you've ever dealt with a loose crossbone MG then you know what I'm talking about. 2.0 f91 is a fantastic kit!
I have to say im surprized that you put the impulses up there becouse i couldnt get mine to move without falling apart. And that goes double for the combined form lol, but they where a fun build and i cant believe how many parts and separation on them for a hg

The biggest issue with the led unit with the f91 is the fact that the light bleeds through all the white plastic parts making it super obvious your looking at a thin plastic thing :p I know its fixable by painting the inside but still... Despite that, an absolutely awesome kit. Ive only really started getting into gunpla this year and this was the first thing I'd build since a no grade 1/144 shenlong gundam somewhere between 2000-2004 and it got me hooked on gunpla big time. Thanks for all the effort you've put in your channel zaku! It really is a great resource in helping me know which kits I'd want and which I should propably skip knowing me :) Ps: I did break part of the dry rub 91 :( my 1 misses its lower left corner now. Anyone have any spare dry rub sheets for the f91 they arent planning on using haha?
ApenBaard I don’t know if anyone contacted you yet, but decals like that aren’t so hard to fix. All you need is use your knife, carefully scrub out an out line for the missing part and hand paint it. I do that with my scratched of stripe decals all the time, and buying paint is much less expensive compare to paying for the shipping fee
Admittedly I don't buy a lot of kits so my scope is kind of narrow, but for how "simple" it was I super enjoyed the MG Jegan. Snapped it up in a single weekend, loved the build and the look of it. And I think because it's so solid compared to some other (arguably more dynamic looking yet fragile) MG kits, I find myself messing with and reposing it the most of any of my kits.
Purpose of RE/100 was originally for kits that were either too enormous for MG (the Nightingale) or obscure suits (GP04). They have gotten away from that with the RE/100 Vigna Ghina and Gunblaster. Both appeared on screen and are smaller than some of the larger HGs.
Kinda surprised to see the Galbaldy Rebake on the worst list, apart from the ankle joints (and to an extent the elbows) I've heard only good things about it

I’m not sure if you mean that in a positive or negative way but I assume negative. The reason is because the line deserves recognition as being something new and more appealing to a lot of builders. While they aren’t as complicated or detailed as an RG or whatever, they are nice solid kit that utilize new aspects in a fun way.
Katoki has some of the best designs. I think Naoki is the runner up compared to the design choices and consistency. I might try reverse wash with the Master Grade Sinanju Stein.
i built the jegan blast master, and more than all of your complaints, it's the hollow parts that made the kit terrible for me. i really dont understand the decision behind making those parts hollow too.
Here’s an idea. Worst kits for kits that are not very well constructed. Also, runner ups are kits that are not entirely new but are well designed that it outweighs the cons. And new releases should be in the best kit of the years ranked by the criteria’s mentioned.
I can understand the HG BC line and where you stand with it, but have you considered the HGBC Hands (Round and Edges) that you could use to customize for other kits that are limited to just the holding hands?
as for someone who bought and build HGBF Build Strike Galaxy Cosmos i would say the only thing that ruins it is pretty much its own backpack. for me , the backpack is not to my liking it's so messy i can't stand it.(make me bought 2nd hand Destiny gundam just to replace the original backpack with Destiny's). as for the suit it's good , it's a good ol' Build strike. sturdy and has a great articulation. new leg design is not the greatest , but it definitely not bad (tho i prefer Star Build Strike leg more than that).

Materia and Innocentia are pretty good and the cheapest among all FAG kits. But they don't comes with any weapon tho. Personally I would recommend the Hresverlgr Ater because that's the design I like and you have a lot of option to play with. Check out dalong.net to see which one you like the most and get one :)

Watching this in 2022, I'm glad you were wrong about the Advance of Zeta line. Hazenthley ii Rah is my favorite.
For me, my fave kit of the year had to be the HGBD Gundam Love Phantom. I love how three mobile suit elements were combined into one fantastic kit.

I really enjoyed all the Narrative hgs but zeromaru really stood out to me this year.

Usually for re/100 line is meant to be a companion piece to the MG 1/100 line. That’s Bandai’s goal.

I want to take a saw to the Rebake's bellbottoms so as to improve foot articulation, but don't know of a way to do it without making it ugly.

as for someone who bought and build HGBF Build Strike Galaxy Cosmos i would say the only thing that ruins it is pretty much its own backpack. for me , the backpack is not to my liking it's so messy i can't stand it.(make me bought 2nd hand Destiny gundam just to replace the original backpack with Destiny's). as for the suit it's good , it's a good ol' Build strike. sturdy and has a great articulation. new leg design is not the greatest , but it definitely not bad (tho i prefer Star Build Strike leg more than that).
I now desire an episode where zaku, myself and Henry drink beer and talk about model kits

Materia and Innocentia are pretty good and the cheapest among all FAG kits. But they don't comes with any weapon tho. Personally I would recommend the Hresverlgr Ater because that's the design I like and you have a lot of option to play with. Check out dalong.net to see which one you like the most and get one :)
