Apink are also a mainly vocal group! Not every kpop group has a rapper, especially the older ones
Eung eung is sort of like “mhmm” in English. It’s a really casual way of saying “yeah yeah.” When you turn the hangeul diagonally (응응), it sort of looks like the percent sign (%%), which is why you see it in the MV.
Fun fact: all four of these songs are produced by Black Eyed Pilseung, a producer duo that is now mainly focused on their new group STAYC. But they did the first three of these before STAYC debuted so I am glad they came back together again for Dilemma.
That makes so much more sense now! I just downloaded both Dilemma and Run2U and the sounds during the chorus sounded a little similar. Blessing us with Bops!

Apink is iconic, one of my favorite girl group.
Yey Apink!!! Such an iconic group with an iconic discography with their weird catchy title tracks. The main vocalist, Eunji, is also a well respected vocalist in the industry! Her solo music is amazing I recommend checking her albums and maybe some of her live vocal performances. 👍

1. 20:19 "jal doen geo ya, jjeom×3" in Bomi's part can be interpreted as 'Okay, • • •'.
'jjeom' means 'point(=.)' in Korean.
2. 'Dumdurum' means 'I'm fine' in Korean pronunciation.
3. "%" looks similar to "응(=yes)" in Korean, so you can interpret it as "yes" in the song.
Dumdurum is actually supposed to be like a heart beating hence the lyrics “my heart is like dumhdurum”

Thanks for reacting to one of Kpop's actual legends, Apink. Although not as well known internationally as some of the other top groups, they have remained consistently popular and won many awards in SK for almost 11 years. Their real strength in my opinion is how talented and committed to excellence each member really is. Eunji, their main vocalist, is generally considered one of the best in Kpop in addition to being a soloist, a highly credited lyricist, an accomplished actress, and an award winning DJ. The other members have also established themselves as soloists, actresses, models, and media personalities. Variety shows usually see their ratings improve when Apink members make an appearance since all of them are charming, funny, witty, and all-around great guests.

I think you already scooped out most of their sad bops this time, but _Luv_ (2014) is definitely worth a visit, still holding the most music show wins by a girl group crown. Their other title tracks are in the cute genre. The ballads are highly recommended for vocals, but all their over 100 songs are good I think.

There are many interactions between both groups. Apink's leader ChoRong and Bomi are very good friends with Solar and Moonbyul, Solar invited both to her sort of housewarming party and she has interviewed ChoRong, both episodes can be seen on her Solarsido channel. ChoRong is Solar's first celebrity friend, after being recommended and introduced to her by BTOB member Changsub.

Early in their career they always had a cute image so I couldn’t picture them doing a sexy concept. But when I’m so sick came out, their sound took a turn where it’s still cute but became more mature and sophisticated and they’ve really honed that sound since.

Oh Austin, thank you, thank you, don’t you just love these Queens!? Almost Eleven years together! They are so together vocally. You have to see them in concert, they sing live and they are hysterical! Eunji is the little short brunette. They kept changing hair color girl so, hard to tell you the other ones. Chorong is the soft voice with the sad lyrics on dilema, getting thinner and thinner, group leader. There is a great song on TV about four yrs ago and they rap through part of it but it it adorable and I cried the first time I heard it, no captions. Just found it with captions, now I know why I cried. They are able to emote so much emotion with their voices... unreal. I think it is, What if we had... If not, i will find out. thanks again.

Apink has had several iconic songs in the past, but personally I prefer their style from "I'm So Sick" to present! They definitely had more of a cute concept before, which is fine, but not really something I like to listen to often. I've made it a point to check out every release of theirs since "I'm So Sick" though!
Also, since you mentioned 9Muses anyways, I feel I should mention that they have a really great discography (I'm sure lots of others have mentioned that as well). My favorite era of theirs was the Sera-era, but they had good songs even after, so I would really suggest you check them out
As soon as Dilemma came out Apink became my fav girl group, I'm new to them kinda, but once I fell down that hole I fell deep!

Since you've seen Apink's bubbly side and their darker side, if you're looking for more Apink content you should definitely check out some of their fan songs! Since their first anniversary, almost every year they've released a song dedicated to their fans. The most recent was "Thank you" written by Bomi, and my two personal favorites are April 19th (2012) and The Wave (2016), both written by their leader Chorong. Thank you is bubbly but April 19th and The Wave are closer to ballads. April 19th is especially good live with lyrics!

I'm so sick was the mark of another evolution of Apink as an artist. Their music have matured with time and this was actually a big risk, changing concept as you know they started in cute and innocent concept and now turned to mature but the unique Apink sound is still there.
The you pointed out in Im so sick was indeed the same one with Eung Eung (read as uhng uhng). Pink Panda is indeed our fandom name.
On Eung Eung mv the you said that was familiar is Oh Hayoung, yes she is the 3rd soloist from Apink that released her 1st mini album entitled OH!
In Dumhdurum (pronounced like Dumbh with a silent b durum) this song made an all kill on music charts during the release back in Apr 13 2020 and did an all kill on all 6 music shows. The one you pointed in red hair is Bomi, the main dancer which different from the you pointed out on the first mv. The one with soft voice with the dog is Chorong, which their leader. No animals were harmed on making the mv. All of them has rapping skills but they rarely have rap parts on their songs. They usually have fast lines. Yes Eunji has sung several OST even the other members. Eunji is the one withbthe greatest voice the one that's always hitting the high notes in chorus.
In Dilemma this is the latest cb and yes you got the interpretation right abt wanting to pretend on a relationship that has died because she seems like can't live without that person. Glad you loved dilemma because that is always addicting just like the other 3. They are all bops and actually it's kind of all sequel songs.
Iconic songs were the one you listened before, nonono, mr chu, and luv. After duhmdurum release together with I'm so sick, eung eung, it's like the modern trinity song of Apink. Then a year and 10 months here we are with Dilemma which was another evolution of Apink Sound, some even say now that Dumhdurum and dilemma are like sisters.
You can always look forward with apink's cb, they may cb mostly once a year but they always slay the concept. You should listen to the b-side tracks of Horn (the album for Dilemma) cause they are all cool songs to and 6 out of the 10 newest tracks were written/participated in writing by each members. My personal fave is the one titled My Oh My and Nothing which is a Unit Song

It holds a total of 17 wins on music shows which is still an unbreakable record for a girl group. Besides, the main vocalist, Jung Eunji is one of the greatest vocalist in Kpop. Maybe you can go check out her performances in "Begin Again". She also uploads a lot of great covers on her own TH-cam channel. All the songs from their newest album, Horn are masterpiece. The thing about Dilemma is its essentially about a love that, while you know its extremely toxic and a one-sided love, you still want to stay because you yourself love that person so much. Apink's music evolved and gradually changed throughout the years. I love how they didn't switch it up so quick and let their music mature with them. I think that's the reason why it still sounds Apink even though it's not the same happy, bubblegum song that they usually released prior to I'm So Sick and onwards. 😊
Apink debuted in 2011, and it took 7 years before they released a song like I'm So Sick. The group is celebrating their 11th anniv this year!^^
Also, if you loved Mamamoo and SNSD's chaotic energy, oh you would love Apink. They're known to be variety queens!

9muses AHHH! amazing discography, unfortunate how crazily mismanaged they were. they had quite a member changes, so if you’d want to react to them, i’d watch them in the following order:
1) No Playboy, Figaro, News, and Ticket
- probably the most unstable in the sense of lineup changes and music, though each release was very enjoyable. I’d say they truly found their sound by ticket.
2) Dolls, Wild, Gun, and Glue
- personally find this era as their peak, they were finally complete as 9. i feel like their music reflected that as well, with dolls being their most popular song in sk.
3) Drama, Hurt Locker, and Sleepless Night
- major change in their lineup, they had three members leave, Sera being one of them. they did get two new members, though the signature 9muses was still there. these releases are just as good as the previous era.
4) Lip 2 Lip, Remember (2017), Love City
- last lineup change, with three members leaving and one going on hiatus, then eventually leaving as well, making the final group a quartet. their 9muses sound was still there. really solid releases!
they released one final m/v in 2019 titled Remember, but it was truly a disbandment song than a comeback, serving as a goodbye to their fans that stayed with them throughout the years.
at their peak they were once called as "Girls' Generation's little sisters" yes because they are really close, Seohyun takes care of Hayoung (maknae) because they are their groups' maknae, but aside from that they have the same concepts and Apink is the only group that SONE accepted in terms of that reason and some SONE often said that they can copy/replicate SNSD and we will be glad and happy and APINK aren't afraid to try different genres just like what SNSD is doing. That's why I am also a PinkPanda and a SONE and just like SNSD they're one of the active group right now who came from 2nd generation and the only group who is actively making music
