My favorite head canon is that Trazyn occasionally pokes his head into the Emperor's throne room just to see if he can snag Big E yet. As in the Costodians are fully aware of Trazyn. It's become so regular that no one reacts except to acknowledge his entry so that he knows to leave.

One of my favourite moments is where Trazyn is pretending to be a pilot to Orikan's ark and was so petty that he was just acting dumb to annoy him

I love how Trazyn goes "10k old Space Marine, I choose you!", throws the necraball, and an ancient SM pops up, looks around, and immediately starts fucking shit up just like he probably was doing when first taken. Gotta love that "I don't know who I am, or where I am, all I know is *I've got to kill* " attitude SMs and Custodes have...
I love that even the regular soldiers he captures are like that. He finds a PDF machine gun nest, captures it, throws it out at an army of deceiver possessed Necrons and their immediate response is "I don't know where the fuck we are, but they look dangerous so start shooting"
Isnt that because he puts those "mind" things in them that force them not to turn and look at their "Allies" and just face what's coming for them?
@@Valcarian_ Sort of. The Mind Shackle scarab makes Trazyn and anyone he decides look like allies to the shackled people. So if they're Imperial, Trazyn appears to them as a human of high rank, if they're mechanicus he looks like an Magos and so on.
But the way they fight and their morale remains the same, the PDF forces are still fully responsible for their own ability to look at a shard of the deceiver and decide to shoot at it without hesitation.
Imagine he throws out one of the lost Primarchs or something lol. Jaghatai Khan is just thrown out to deal with a situation and that is how he returns to the damn setting, literally just a Deus ex machina resulting from Traxyn being like "oh damn I cant have those guys lose they are too fun to watch!".

In the Necron campaign of Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 Trazyn releases a Tyranid swarm of "humourous extent" inside the Phalanx, destroying it in the process.
I always thought that was such a great turn of phrase.

You know, I think Trazyn is the kinda guy you need to ask all six basic questions of who, what, where, when, why, and how and with his shit eating grin and personality can and will just answer Trazyn the infinite and won't feel out of place or like he's mocking you and I love him for that
Imagine if Trazyn the Infinite goe after the Nine Artefacts of Vulkan, Primarch of Salamanders and gather them together into one place, which will bring him back.
Then Vulkan give Trazyn a hug... A very spine crushing friendly hug.

Trazyn kidnapping or using prisoners just to then take on tours of his museum is one of the most wholesome 40K moments for me. Trazyn, a soulless machine… is so happy to show off history and culture, not even his own, to anyone he has the chance to. Sure all the ‘tourists’ died of exhaustion or something else eventually… but of all the horrible deaths in 40K… that is by far one of the better ones. For a history buff like me, to have the chance to see even a fraction of all that history with what’s left of my life… that’d be worth it.

Honestly an Eldar-Necron alliance against Chaos would be rather fitting, enemies made to fight the other now cooperating. A pit Noble-Bright… but maybe a temporary alliance at least so the Eldar can get rid of Slannesh.

It's also not true. That part of the book has Trazyn mulling over how much of a horrible mistake it was to keep a Deceiver shard for himself instead of imprisoning it with the others, but it's too late to do anything about it now.

@@saymen881 I'd say the Silent King has a bit of an advantage over the Emperor here. His battle experience and wisdom is immeasurably greater than the Emperor's, having led the Necrons and possibly doing personal fighting himself in the War in Heaven, which lasted 65 million fucking years. He also has tech which can cancel out the Warp (the Cadia pylons are an example, he may have more in reserve), plus experience in battling and winning against powerful psykers in the form of the Old Ones. More importantly, unlike the Emperor, the Silent King's mind is whole. Emp's mind has been fractured and makes it very difficult for him to pull himself together and actually do something directly.
If Traynz ever wants to show me around his museum he better give some age extending technology cause I wanna see fucking everything
From what I've understood about Trazyn's planet sized museum, and his desire to show it off, no one has yet to complete a whole tour of it so far. Many of his 'tourists' have offed themselves just to get out of it, passed away from old age, or are still being led about by the custodian that runs the tours (It was an Eldar mentioned that is still being shown about). Yes, he does want people to come see history as it was, time-locked and all, because what's the purpose of having a museum if you can't have guests.
Trayzn is us, he's us as a collector of Warhammer 40k stuff.
Oh my god. Can you imagine the big E wakes up as a captive in Trazyn's museum? What a story that would be. The God Emperor of Mankind throwing a psychic tantrum trying to escape captivity, after everything he's been through. Kind of makes you wonder why he doesn't just show up at the golden throne and pokeball the Emperor though...is he worried about it? Has the emperor ever even met a Necron? We need to know these things.
Well. Since Sanguinius met the Silent King. I would assume Big E at least knows of their existence. Plus he got galaxy lore from the Eldar as well. No idea if he actualy met any Necrons in the flesh(you see what I did there?).

Remember that time trazyn became a "space marine" savior on a planet because he clapped some orcs invading it and the religious folk there assumed he was a space marine there to save them. (He just wanted to open a door there) He then proceeds to rub into orikins face the fact that only he got to have a nice stain glass window of himself (which orikin proceeds to smash with a rock )
God I wish there was more grimdark comedy in the 40k universe! Those two books had me laughing!

"Saved" I guess that's one way to say, released a Genestealer and eventually got the world Exterminatus.

Trazyn is one of my personal favorites. In the Infinite amd the Divine, the way he reacts with such viceral hatred towards ancient artifacts being destroyed is so deeply relatable to me as a historian. History isn't about memorizing names and dates, it's a form of anthropology and an important way to preserve and learn from the past.
I love the fact that he just wants people to see his museum. its such a wholesome and refreshing motivation in warhammer

Trayzyn is effectively 40Ks Lucifer Morningstar in the sense that’s he so absurdly powerful and could make some serious and genuine change to the setting but he’s just so nonchalant and doesn’t give a damn and he just wants to do his own thing.
Hell Tom Ellis would make a great voice actor for him.
Plus Trayzyn and Orikan give off massive Lucifer and Michael vibes.

You forgot to mention the time Trazyn captured a Sister of Battle, she managed to outwit him / escape a maze he'd created, and he then congratulated her, gave her a telic from his collection, and sent her off as a friend.
She, uh, then got shot for "consorting with xenos".
Imagine Trazyn stole one of the lost Primarchs before they were purged, and the emperor just decided to ignore that for now cause he COULD NOT afford to fight the necrons rn

A new possibility occurred to me while you were talking about what if Trazyn released a Krork and I think it is now my new Ork head cannon.
What if Trazyn capturing that Krork IS what happened to their race. What if that Krork was the warboss of the Krork and removing him from scene severely hamstrung the collective waaagh energy of the Krork species, thus devolving them into the Orks. If he were to return, perhaps the would begin to return to their former status. Hell,k the fact that they have two gods that fight constantly is probably a metaphor for their fractured identity and in-fighting. I believe if they did become Krorks again, Gork and Mork would meld into one god and the Orks would be fully unified. I think they are only two because Orks collectively are missing a key part of themselves that causes them to be confused about their gods.
I bet the Eldar looked down their nose at them and wanted them out of the picture after the war in heaven. They could've negotiated a deal with the Necrons to capture the boss Krork.
Anyway. It would be a pretty cool explanation.

Trazyn is probably my favorite character in all of 40k. I wish there were more books specifically about him and his hilarious exploits.
The best job in 40k would be Trazyn's agent or someone who works in his museum. There is a lore when he talks to a human who is dying of old age and he thanks him for life he gave him because it was nice and his daughter now is educated. I hope he is looking for employees cuz I'd be sending my cv immidiately

The emperor isnt actually sat dying on the golden throne after his near fatal battle with Horus, the entire heresy was just an elaborate ruse to get the Emperor onto a really fancy collectors shelf Trazyn is gonna come back for later
He gets charged at by Guilliman So he throws out his pokeballs containing the 2nd and 11th primarchs, mostly to fuck with him.
Honestly of all the fates that can happen to you in 40k getting pokeballed by Trazyn is probably the best one
So he is Dr.Doom with a 40k twist
Trazyn could’ve ended the chaos undivided faction on the fall of cadeia book. His huntmaster, the greatest Necron Hunter, asked if he wanted him to deal with Abaddon, and trazyn is like “nah if you kill him he won’t be 100% for the museum” and the huntmaster is sad because he can’t kill/stun abaddon…
To be fair, in that same book an ascendant Orikan kills a 6 shard strong C'tan on his jack jones (on his own)
Mans a G, we need a 3 part trilogy with Trazyn and Cawl joining forces to fuck some Nid/Ork menace, or better yet Chaos, its about time we had a good serious Chaos threat and it would be awesome to see Chaos magics countered with pure science and technology
