    😃Perfect! Thanks so much. Never considered that the ignitor could be glowing and still not have enough heat to trip the on the gas valves. Time to find the parts now.
    Excellent presentation and explanation. Thanks much again,.

    I rock with this guy I've been remodeling a house I inherited and I've based a lot of my choices on his videos. I reached out to him for advice on products and he responded quickly. Surprised he doesn't have more subscribers.

    Thanks for the great video! I have a similar speed queen and Just wanted to add my experience that may help others, that although you mentioned you rarely, if ever, replace the flame sensor it was actually the part that failed on my unit. My symptoms were that the igniter would light up at start up as it should but the flame would not ignite for 2 or 3 minutes, sometimes longer. If the door was opened during the cycle, the flame may not come on again although the igniter would still be glowing. When the flame did ignite it would stay lit the whole cycle until near the end of the timed dry. The flame sensor had continuity on multimeter (although had a rattle inside when I removed it that the new sensor did not have), but still was working incorrectly intermittently. I initially thought it was the coils, but replacement coils had same effect. Dryer now flames up at about 15 seconds after start up with the new flame sensor and dryer now working as it should.

    Very good. I replaced the solenoid gas valves but still no heat. So now I will order and replace the igniter. If that doesn't work I replace the sensor I guess and or thermal fuse. Appreciate the good video...as I own a Speedqueen washer & gas dryer.

    Hello Alex, I want to ask. what is the maximum temperature of the thermostat for speed queen? Because there are a lot of fake spare parts in my country which causes my dryer temperature to be too hot

    How could it be the ignitor if the ignitor was glowing / lighting up?

    • @alexthehandyman3494
      @alexthehandyman3494  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hola Mr Garcia,
      Next to the ignitor there is device that measures the intensity of the igniter. (the flame sensor) When old or broken the ignitor still glows but not strong enough. If the flame sensor is not happy with the intensity of the igniter it will not close the circuit to the gas valve.

    Hi Alex - When I unplug the dryer and plug it back in, I get dr 04.00 DS flashing and I cannot power up the machine. Any idea what that is? Thanks! It's a residential stacking washer/dryer. It goes off after a while and I can use the machine Strange...

    Hi Alex. I have the same machine at home, the ignitor glows, then it fires up, after 10 min the fire stops and the ignitor turns on and off on and off and only some times the gas will relight. Is this how dryers work or should the fire stay on the whole cycle? Please help :). Thank you

    I might add, ohm the coils, if you get continuity on the unplugged coil terminals.... all checks out but no flame the gas valves may be stuck to the valve body. This happens if water gets inside the gas valve... then it is best to change the valve....

      The component you have never change...I believe if not mistaken is a flame senor, it insures the HSI(Hot Surface Igniter) is working before sending voltage to open gas vavle...but I like the trick of not removing the bracket...

      @@juanamaya9129 I replaced 2 valve coils, but still no heat. The igniter glows but no gas flows. I think the problem is the igniter? Does that make sense? I am in a foreign country so parts are a little more difficult to get.
