I'm a seasoned true crime consumer, and to this day, Mr. Cruel still fucks me up. Something about him just breaking into peoples houses, raping and even murdering their children, and never getting caught is just so terrifying to me...

Lady of the Dunes was solved a few months ago, they found out who she was and her husband at the time who already killed his prior wife is believed to be her killer.
The same with zodiac killer, it was solved

Great video, however for Elizabeth Short’s case, it’s pronounced Black Dahlia (as in “Dah-Lee-Ah”) not Delilah. For others, I’d consider researching how they’re pronounced correctly before recording. Otherwise, you’re on your way to becoming a solid content creator. Keep it up, looking forward to more videos.

i like the fact that you keep the stutters in because as someone who stuttered a lot and sometimes still does, it makes it more authentic in my opinion ❤
Conversely, as somebody who ALSO stuttered a lot (and sometimes still does), I don't really like hearing other people stutter, 'cause I know stuttering kinda sucks and I don't wish that on other people. With that said, I do - to some extent - respect keeping it in.

Keep in mind , Moses also had a issue with speaking . .. he stuttered to the point of not even wanting to speak for God so God used Moses brother to speak for him. So let that be somewhat encouraging for you that although it may feel awkward and uncomfortable. Don't let those things keep you down , God can use anyone He desires to .

Nice job Snook! You did well with not over-researching each case. I’d definitely encourage you to take your time when covering the info - even if it seems like a lot, we’d rather it take an extra five to ten mins and hear you read each word clearly, correctly and pronounced well. You have major potential, which is why I subbed, but definitely make sure to listen to what you record before uploading it and to re-record the areas that have mispronunciations! Edit: I just want to clarify that I’m NOT referring to the individual other languages’ pronunciations. I know how niche and difficult it is to nail all of those words, and I’m not knocking you for that at all! Awesome vid Snook :)

The lady of dunes was actually identified about half a year ago! I think her name was Ruth Marie Terry. There were claims that she was one of the background characters in the original Jaws movie, but I’m unsure if that’s actually correct. I’m also certain the case is still unsolved as to who caused the homicide, unfortunately.

Hey man, you did a decent job but this is really constructive criticism because you could be so much more. Names are okay to mispronounce sometimes, but acquittal, exonerated and other legal terms you really need to look up first. And don't be afraid to stop and start over if you stumble over words. Like before, occasionally is fine, but constantly or when it's your first sentence is a little much. I look forward to your next video. (Also the s is silent in illinois)

Some advice, scratch or tap your microphone to spike the audio waves when you stutter and you want to rerecord it, you will have it way easier to find the part that you want to change. But otherwise amazing video!

for the beaumont children case, it took place in Adelaide, South Australia in Glenelg (pronounced gleh-nelg). just for clarification since it wasnt pronounced correctly, but thats okay! im from Adelaide, and this is the first time ive ever heard of this case, so its quite baffling that there has been a second worldwide famous unsolved case after the somerton man. keep up the great work, i love how well summarised this video is ^_^

another note for lady in the dunes is that they were filming Jaws in that area around that time and an extra that can be seen in a few scenes is not listed by universal and is believed to be the woman found in the dunes. She probably just walked on set when they started filming
I've really been enjoying your channel recently. Your scripts are well done and the pacing is good. They've been helping me get through some long work days lol. There's some really great feedback in the comments so I will try to avoid repeating any advice you've heard already. The words you use pretty much always are grammatically correct and make sense in context, and show an intelligent level of vocabulary. It's okay to mispronounce words especially when the audience can fill in the blanks, and it's also okay to do multiple takes to enhance the quality of your videos. You get to choose which of those battles your prefer to fight and when. Don't feel bad about mispronounced words from other languages, that's complicated stuff with the accent and how letters work between languages. Some languages like Spanish or Japanese are phonetic (generally each letter only has one way of pronouncing it, unlike the ridiculous-ness of English) so if you learn the basics you can correctly pronounce pretty much any word even without understanding the meaning and everything. Though if you don't feel you have the time, a polite apology I find is generally appreciated. Bilingual people understand better than anybody how difficult languages can be!
The only other thing I might add (and take this advice or leave it, of course! I don't know your process or routine) is that you consistently seem to get tired of speaking/reading at the end of your videos. Don't force yourself to keep going until you're out of breath. If you prefer doing everything in one take, maybe set up a glass of water and timer beforehand so your break is scheduled/prepared beforehand and you don't get too distracted? Or during your break just focus on becoming familiar with the next section you're about to read? I know that taking breaks can be really difficult when it comes to motivation, especially when I'm getting tired it can be hard to get back into it. Set yourself up for success in the ways that work for you. You're doing really great and during your outros when you're not reading off the script there's a noticeable difference in the rythym of your speech. Reading isn't for everyone, and memorizing isn't for everyone. I think you'll settle into the best process that works for you and your audience. I hope this comment doesnt come off as critical, redundant, or frustrating...I genuinely look forward to supporting your content creation journey as a viewer and hope it can be enjoyable for you as well.
If you feel you could use another narrator and/or editor to save you some time and energy feel free to reach out! Or even have a guest narrator every once in a while if you want to build some community (again though, these routes don't have to be for everyone, and could even just be irl friends at most).
But yeah anyway you probably won't wanna read this insane text-wall of a comment but I wish you all the best!! Thanks for sharing your content for us to enjoy!

I’ve been to the bowling alley in las cruces. They actually stayed open for years even decades after, but they closed down just a couple years ago
To pronounce better use a program so you here the word. Listening to you carfully I noticed you sometimes make your T’s sound L’s and vise versa.. but either way keep it up

It annoys me that these cases are really deep, cruel and sometimes gruesome but all ppl can comment on are the mispronounced words. They’re mistakes, not intentional!
He’s just being lazy and doesn’t think audience deserves more than one take of him reading the summary of a Wikipedia page based on an entry from an iceberg that someone else created.
