Another great reaction bro. Outlander is an "older" song from them, it's always "reacted" to by reactors when it comes to "older" Jinjer music, don't get me wrong, it's fantastic, but for me, my favorite "older" Jinjer song is, "No Hoard of Value". That song is frickin awesome!!! If you choose to react to it, react to the "official lyric" video, for being a lyric video, it's very well done, trust me, you won't be disappointed. Cheers and stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶

You wanted to know a little more about Tatyana and the group?
Caution! A big bunch of text ... :)
This type of harsh vocals used by the vocalist is called fry screaming (sometimes confused with growling, which is a completely different type of vocals). When using it, the vocalist does not use the vocal cords at all, so they do not suffer from excessive load. This is a very complicated vocal technique, and if you use it incorrectly, you can damage the vocal cords. And Tatiana is fluent in this technique, as well as clear singing...
You definitely need to watch Tatiana’s (Jinjer's really) performances on a live show - your brain will simply explode from her energy! She is nuclear bomb on the stage... :D
Tatiana on stage is a demon with angel wings and the voices of both of them!
I advise you to see "Captain Clock" on Ressurection Fest (official live) and Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev) | Napalm Records.
You definitely won’t forget it. :D
So, Jinjer is from Ukraine. This is one of the fastest growing band in the world right now - more than 130 concerts with full halls and stadiums on all continents (except Antarctica) last year and incessant tours last year. A new World Tour kicked off in the fall, but was suspended (rescheduled for fall) due to COVID-19 just before the US tour. But Tatyana had already arrived in California by that time and was stuck there - she could not leave the country for the third month. She lives there now with her boyfriend Alex Lopez from "Suicide Silence" (American deathcore band from Riverside, California).
Despite the fact that they are all from Ukraine, none of the participants ever speak Ukrainian, because they are from the Russian-speaking region Donbass where almost the entire population is Russian (there is a civil war right now that is supported by Russia on the one hand , and with another USA - there are two songs about it "Sit Stay Roll over" and "When Two Empires Collide").
All songs are in English only, but there is only one in Russian ("Желаю значит получу" - "I Want It I'll Get it").
    They are:
    Tatiana Shmailyuk - vocalist, lyricist
    Roman Ibramkhalilov - guitarist, composer
Eugene Abdiukhanov - bassist, composer, arranger, tour agent and financial manager
    Vladislav Ulasevich - drummer, composer
Tatiana is a big fan of Amy Winehouse - she even makes a one tatoo in honor of Amy (you can also hear the musical imitation of Amy Winehouse at the end of the song "Who Is Gonna Be the One")... And she also likes to listen to classic rock, progressive and NU metal, hardcore and deathcore, hip-hop and rap, blues and soul...
She is 33 years old now.
She was born on March 15, 1987 in Gorlovka, Donbass, Ukraine. After school, she entered the Pedagogical University and received a specialty as a teacher of Russian language and literature. She never studied vocals (only one month when she was a child - she quit music school because she was bored there) and did not train in growling and screaming, she only has a unique natural talents and abilities.
In 2009, her friends from the young band Jinjer (was founded in 2008) were asked to temporarily replace vocalist Max Fatullaev who had left for the US until they find a new vocalist.
But Tatiana brought such energy to the band that she did not replace the old vocalist for a few times, but remained forever and became the real leader of this band and the author of 99% of all songs (lyrics)
    .
She has a big bunch of other talents:
she writes poetry (not only song lyrics) and is the author of 99% of the band's lyrics, she draws arts and creates tattoo sketches, she can make tattoos (all tattoos of other members of the band are her works), she sews well (look her homemade dresses in videos "I Speak Astronomy"-official video and "Captain Clock"-live at Ressurection Fest), she does all her jewelry and piercing accessories with her own hands (she generally loves to do all sorts of stuff with her own hands) and much more.
    So, greetings from Kiev, Ukraine!
Be happy, stay hungry and ride the Metal!
    Peace!

Always appreciate your insight on the band members past and would like to ask you smth about Tati's brothers (I think there are two of them) - what are their names and how old are they compared to Tatiana? I know Eugene has a sister but I'm digging more stuff about other members of Jinjer. And once more - in "Retrospection" MV Vlad has a pic only with his mother, why is that? Спосибо!

    • @FalconFlurry
      @FalconFlurry 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Good synopsis, except that Tatiana herself said that she does not use vocal fry. She didn't say exactly what she does do, but it's most likely some type of false cord growl.
Also don't forget Retrospection begins in Russian

  • @FalconFlurry

    The current members are:
    Tatiana Shmailyuk - vocals
    Roman Ibramkhalilov - guitar
    Eugene Abdukhanov - bass
    and
    Vladislav Ulasevich - drums
However the members at the time of recording this video were:
    Tatiana Shmailyuk - vocals
    Roman Ibramkhalilov - guitar
    Eugene Abdukhanov - bass
    Yevhen Mantulin - drums
    and
    Dmitriy Oksen - rhythm guitar

An interesting side-note: The band at this point were literally war refugees having fled their homes at the beginning of the civil war in the Ukraine. They were invited to perform at what was essentially a battle of the bands in Kiev with no real hope of winning because there were several much better known bands playing. Despite being an unknown band they shocked everybody with their performance winning "Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2014" which launched their career.

    • @vadymvv
      @vadymvv 4 ปีที่แล้ว

One remark - there wasn't any civil war but Russian-Ukrainian war
