Hey, just wondering what would be a good cheap, reliable, basher engine (if there is such a thing, under $200AUD) for an older Inferno MP7.5 when the GX21 engine expires? I've heard about people using LRP's in them. I've also heard the Kyosho KE21 and KE25 engines are decent for what they are, interested to hear your thoughts.
Actually I see a few fuel brands and models use only synthetic oil. Some only one type some use a blend of synthetics. What you think or know about those fuels or use fuel without castor oil?
@@TheRwmods gotcha I have both, they seem to be about the same power wise but the Rolling seems to have more of a hit in the powerband while the Scuderia seems to have a smoother transition through the powerband. Just wanted a second opinion. Appreciate your response 👍
Does the crank supposed to have end play. Talkn like half a millimeter back & forth. My r5r v4.0 has absolutely no end play but my gen 2 scuderia 721 does. Thanks
@@TheRwmods well my reds r5r v4.0 seems to neleaking already out of the front bearing. This thing has barely 2 quarts on it. And my reds scaduria 721 gen 2 came leaking out of the front bearing rite out of the damn box. The r5r runs perfect despite leaking. Dont these motors suck in air if the front bearing is leaking. Also reds offered to replace my front bearing but I ordered a protek rc ceramic bearing for it. Or should I stick with steel bearing for front. Also ordered a fast eddy ceramic for the r5r. And can I get the front bearing out without a puller. Thanks bro
@@detroitrcwurks998 The front bearing is not a perfect seal. If you leave over 1/2 tank of fuel in the car while sitting it can get access fuel in the crank case and leak out of the bearing.
@@TheRwmods well that's good to know. Yeah i know these rubber seals in these bearings arent perfect in any way. I bought 2 different types of front ceramics to try out in both my r5r and 721 fast eddy's & protek rc. I never leave fuel in my tanks but I do use good amounts of after run and sometimes hang my cars vertically on wall so gravity is workn against me there..lol
Hey there... Thanks for all the videos!! But do you know where you can buy the engine resizing tools that you would use? I have seen them from $150-500 dollar range .... I can get the press just looking for the parts to resize the sleeve. Thanks
I do not know who sells them anymore, I made my equipment. I am not a fan of using an arbor press, I have never used that type of equipment though. I do know that the cheap clamp stuff on Ebay does not work.
I just picked one up today on ebay with a 1pc torque reds pipe, brand new for $399... It was a special offer sent by the seller, but for your reference.
by far the best review and explanation of how and what to look for in nitro engine that I have seen on youtube. I really look forward to more.
Thank you, if you look on my playlist I have done some before.
Just found your channel the other day been watching these videos before work your reviews are starting to become part of my morning routine
Great review as always 👍🏾
Great video Rex!!
Thanks, we all love nitro!
so similar to Orion CRF7..nice engine!
should have the new SV to review in the next few days.

The Fastrax Enduro .21 engines are meant to be fantastic for the money and can take plenty of abuse. Looking at getting one for my HoBao Hyper VS

I am not a fan of Synthetic only oils in fuel, they tend to be dry inside the engine when you take them apart. I like some Castor in the fuel.
what do you think of this compared to the 521?
Great review as always
Thank you
Short needle will cause the rpm to ramp-up quicker.
Did anyone get the engine and get it modded... And after video??
How would you rate this engine vs the Novarossi Rolling for a truggy application?
I personally like this engine better, no first hand experience to know which one pulls a truggy better though.

Are you still modding engines?

some engines do have play, in my opinion too much sometimes. It will run fine but I do fix it sometimes if it is excessive.

Can i install a Reds Engine in my Kyosho Inferno Neo 3.0?
Yes, if you have a pull starter you would need to get a bump start box. Possibly some different engine mounts, not familiar with that car.
Nice content I got wr5 👍
Brass by itself is heavier than steel some alloy of brass can be way heavier than steel
Nice video 👍
Do you need to shim the cooling head for 30% nitro?
No, should be fine with 30%
you still have this engine?
No I do not, send me an e-mail at rwmods@yahoo.com
Maybe it's a "balanced" crank ......
$599 on Ebay..
they sell for under $500, I can get you one.
