It does not matter Gujrati or Punjabis, other people in Canada still think that all of them are from India. Why other types of Indians don't teach them to respect the place that gave them jobs, foods and new life. I don't think there's anything specifically 'wrong' with people from India. Rather, it's the fact that they are moving to a place with an enormous enclave of other Indians. This insulates them from any pressure to integrate into Canadian society. The same happens with other demographics with similarly large enclaves - i.e. the Chinese demographic.

This may be true…but this last 10 months I,ve been having health issues and have received different test to check out the problems. All the doctors and ultrasound test staff, receptionist, have been Indians, and they have been very respective and thoughtful at all times!!…one even thanked me for coming for the test…..no doctor has ever thanked me for coming! I guess I was lucky to meet the good ones

In my work place it is 90% Indian. I'm one of the few white people born and raised in Canada. No English is spoken during lunch break or very little is spoken. This creates alienation among the employees and the few that are non-Indian no longer use the lunchroom and prefer to sit elsewhere or in their cars. This happens in the community as well and Canadians are feeling excluded from society. In regards to racism. How prevalent is racism from Indians directed at white Canadians?

Not just highway rest stops, Tim Hortons, Wendy’s, McDonalds… has piles of shitty toilet paper thrown all over the floor, toilets never cleaned in months, greasy unwiped tables, no soap, no hand sanitizer. Every restaurant, gas station you have to ask for a washroom key on a dirty spatula because there is no community trust. At Tim Hortons you have to ask for napkins, ask for ketchup, ask for pepper, ask for a paper straw… like you are some kind of criminal on probation. Canada has lost its sense of community.
Very well said. I am Indian and haved lived abroad in USA and Canada for several years. Recently my interactions/observations with some Indians leave me surprised on how they try to cheat or find loopholes in everything. It's almost like an ego enhancement act for them to save a few dollars by finding the loopholes. For ex: some use the transit without proper card and find it cheaper to pay a fine when caught. It's heartbreaking to think how this is spoiling the image of "Indians" as a community.

I had to be extra careful not to step on any! Initially, I thought it was due to a lack of toilets over there, but later I realised it’s more ingrained in their culture. When I confronted someone peeing on the street, he casually responded, ‘What’s your problem? It’s just nature’s call.’ I was left stunned!

I am not an Indian but I am also an immigrant, therefore, I don’t hate immigrants. I don’t hate Indian. I have been living in Canada for 39 years now. I try my best to be a Canadian. What I’ve observed is that most of the fast food restaurants and the delivery services are now dominated by Indian. It seems like if there is one Indian manager in charge of a company he/she will hire mostly Indian people. I don’t mind who own those franchises but please at least maintain the original product and service. Don’t try to be “too smart” by lowering the standards to get more profit. A close friend of mine was told while he was doing his job as a trucker that the Indians are going to take over the trucking industry and there’s nothing he could do about it! For many reasons, he is no longer a trucker.

It is a known fact throughout the trucking industry Canada, that for the past 20 years there are semis/trucks rolling down Canadian highways that have holes cut in the floor so that the slip-seat driver can defecate without stopping at a truck stop. The shit ends up on the highway. It is not the Canadian truck drivers that are defecating through above mentioned holes.

I am Canadian born and white. I have had many Indian friends for many years. And I love them all dearly. I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. I would trust them with my life. But I still have to admit that the newer arrivals scare me. That being said. Yes the cashiers are usually Indians and they don't greet or smile but once I moved to the gulf and saw mostly Filipinos as cashiers or receptionists, they greeted me with a smile and sometimes a small talk you will feel heard and noticed😊 the way they reciprocate. My love for Filipinos ❤

I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and South Surrey/White Rock. I have white, asian and indian friends. I have the same group of employees for my business. The issue is the new immigrants are not vetted the same way they used to be. Its not that its Indians, Chinese, etc, etc, its about who they are letting in specifically. The standards changed when the Liberals took power again in 2016. Nothing against Indians other than the standard of who we let in. We are letting in the lower grade of individuals than what we did before. My IT guys, who are Indian, agree. They say the government lowered the standard. My opinion is based upon asking my friends and employees what they think and know. They know its a big problem. And it doesnt take a person to be racist to have these observations. You just need to look around and ask questions.
As a tourist to Canada I noticed a big culture clash. While Canadians over use the word “sorry,” Indians did not think twice about jumping ahead of a line and pushing people away to make space for their own family - even before that family arrives. Hi… I totally agree with just about everything you stated in all aspects of the Indian community. I’m a Canadian who happens to be living in Brampton for the past 12 years. I’ve watched Brampton go from a beautiful community to a dark dreaded place to live , and this is truly because of Indian behaviours. Mind you I have many genuinely good intelligent respectful Indian friends, but there’s the others that thinks they owe the city, province, and country. They don’t respect no one, and I mean no one. NOT EVEN THEIR OWN KIND (Indians/ Punjab). And yes as a Canadian citizen whenever I see something I do call them out on it. However; the moment you say something to them they assume that you’re cursing at them and what was ment to be a respectful comment becomes a situation where they want to argue and even get into a physical fight. Then there’s the bad, careless driving on the streets with no regards to the next person’s life. They drive like their car is the only one on the street yet always looking for someone to race with not to mention the illegal U-TURN creating major accidents. I personally experienced this when a Tractor Trailer Driver tried making a U-TURN on the city street with only 4 lanes for both direction at 4AM in the morning. This caused me to almost ran under the trailer body which would have been the end of my life. They butt into lines and interrupts as much as business conversations thinking their concerns are way more important than anyone else’s and That’s just to name a few things. Now on the other hand I do have VERY GOOD RESPECTFUL INDIAN FRIENDS who I will never let go of our friendship because of their genuine respectful relationship although even those close friends are now pulling themselves away from their own country people and all because of the others behaviour. Thirdly; YES, the Canadian government invites foreign students into the country with improper sources to monitor and direct a governing body to monitor and process the activities of foreign students . 100% agreed. I have seen one lady(indian) helping her 4-6 yr son to pee in the school playground wall . My kids go to that school . I informed the school principal. But they can't control anyone after school hours. They asked me to call the police if i see anything in the future. It's so shameful for me because everyone hates us because of this public pee and poop issue. My wife told me she also saw a few Indian/Pakistani mothers doing the same. When she asked one of them . Her response was its school responsibility to provide the washroom even after school hours. They are not even accepting their wrong doing.

I don't think there's anything specifically 'wrong' with people from India. Rather, it's the fact that they are moving to a place with an enormous enclave of other Indians. On the eastern coast at about Newfoundland is where the Vikings from Greenland came onto North America. So who's land is it ? In my work place it is 90% Indian. I'm one of the few white people born and raised in Canada.
No English is spoken during lunch break or very little is spoken.
This creates alienation among the employees and the few that are non-Indian no longer use the lunchroom and prefer to sit elsewhere or in their cars.

Not just highway rest stops, Tim Hortons, Wendy’s, McDonalds… has piles of shitty toilet paper thrown all over the floor, toilets never cleaned in months, greasy unwiped tables, no soap, no hand sanitizer. Recently my interactions/observations with some Indians leave me surprised on how they try to cheat or find loopholes in everything. It's almost like an ego enhancement act for them to save a few dollars by finding the loopholes. For ex: some use the transit without proper card and find it cheaper to pay a fine when caught. It's heartbreaking to think how this is spoiling the image of "Indians" as a community.

What I’ve observed is that most of the fast food restaurants and the delivery services are now dominated by Indian. It seems like if there is one Indian manager in charge of a company he/she will hire mostly Indian people. I don’t mind who own those franchises but please at least maintain the original product and service. Don’t try to be “too smart” by lowering the standards to get more profit. The Canadian customers can sense the changes.

I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and South Surrey/White Rock. I have white, asian and indian friends. I have the same group of employees for my business. The issue is the new immigrants are not vetted the same way they used to be. Its not that its Indians, Chinese, etc, etc, its about who they are letting in specifically. The standards changed when the Liberals took power again in 2016. Nothing against Indians other than the standard of who we let in. We are letting in the lower grade of individuals than what we did before. My IT guys, who are Indian, agree. They say the government lowered the standard. My opinion is based upon asking my friends and employees what they think and know. They know its a big problem. And it doesnt take a person to be racist to have these observations. You just need to look around and ask questions.

Hi… I totally agree with just about everything you stated in all aspects of the Indian community. I’m a Canadian who happens to be living in Brampton for the past 12 years. I’ve watched Brampton go from a beautiful community to a dark dreaded place to live , and this is truly because of Indian behaviours. Mind you I have many genuinely good intelligent respectful Indian friends, but there’s the others that thinks they owe the city, province, and country. They don’t respect no one, and I mean no one. NOT EVEN THEIR OWN KIND (Indians/ Punjab). And yes as a Canadian citizen whenever I see something I do call them out on it. However; the moment you say something to them they assume that you’re cursing at them and what was ment to be a respectful comment becomes a situation where they want to argue and even get into a physical fight. Then there’s the bad, careless driving on the streets with no regards to the next person’s life. They drive like their car is the only one on the street yet always looking for someone to race with not to mention the illegal U-TURN creating major accidents. I personally experienced this when a Tractor Trailer Driver tried making a U-TURN on the city street with only 4 lanes for both direction at 4AM in the morning. This caused me to almost ran under the trailer body which would have been the end of my life. They butt into lines and interrupts as much as business conversations thinking their concerns are way more important than anyone else’s and That’s just to name a few things.
Now on the other hand I do have VERY GOOD RESPECTFUL INDIAN FRIENDS who I will never let go of our friendship because of their genuine respectful relationship although even those close friends are now pulling themselves away from their own country people and all because of the others behaviour.
Thirdly; YES, the Canadian government invites foreign students into the country with improper sources to monitor and direct a governing body to monitor and process the activities of foreign students .

100% agreed. I have seen one lady(indian) helping her 4-6 yr son to pee in the school playground wall . My kids go to that school . I informed the school principal. But they can't control anyone after school hours. They asked me to call the police if i see anything in the future. It's so shameful for me because everyone hates us because of this public pee and poop issue. My wife told me she also saw a few Indian/Pakistani mothers doing the same. When she asked one of them . Her response was its school responsibility to provide the washroom even after school hours. They are not even accepting their wrong doing.
As a father of 5 year kid i can say Sometime, it becomes very difficult for a 4-5 years old kid to hold the pee if there is no washroom nearby

Also, the class system that sees "higher class/cast" taking advantage of "lower cast" individuals from their own country. This also contributes to the lower living standards that a lot of international students live in.
