When your student visa ends, you no longer have permission to stay in the country, and staying becomes illegal. The problem is that many students don’t plan to return to India, and some aren’t even attending the courses they paid for. For some, it’s just a way to get into Canada. However, that option is now closed

Who will care for your grandparents and parents? Your aging population will be placed in Nursing Homes and you will not quit your job to take care of them 24/7. Some have no kids or relatives and need assistance in their homes. Will you put your life on hold to care for your parents? The few people willing to care for their loved ones can't afford to stay home and they have to work. Do you want KODOKUSHI like Japan? They now have 9 MILLION EMPTY HOMES and won't accept immigrants.

Canadian,US and EU economies are falling apart due to change in the world order and dedolarization drive from BRICS alliance. Also the sanctions imposed by superpowers Russia,China and India over the western nations crippled these economies. The last mail in the coffin was laid by superpower Russian Federation by defeating these western nations in Ukraine war. Technologically both superpowers Russia and China are decades ahed than these so called western countries. Hence western countries can not compete with the international community especially from global south and BRICS nations. Hence the migration back to native is essential.

Most Students came to Canada to stay here, using the title 'student'. But it clearly said once the study is over, they must go back to their country. There is a limit to the studies too. No excuses if they fail multiple times & use that excuse to stay here. Canadians are facing a lack of jobs here. We need to have our peaceful country back soon!!

Since the past 20 years large number of students with basic 10+2 high school education from mainly Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan came to Canada and they were successful in getting jobs and PR Permanent Residence. During covid large number of workers were needed by small businesses as Canadian government was paying residents high unemployment benefits. In the past few months Canadian government has changed immigration rules that has affected students and those working with LMIA drastically. I do not believe Canada has the resources to deport hundreds of thousands of students and some arrangements for stay in Canada will be made for them. USA also has millions of undocumented workers and no matter how much Donald Trump threatens there are no resources in the country to deport them. Students in India are now being advised by all not to come to Canada but no one listens. They just say that you guys are well settled in USA and Canada and are trying to stop us from coming to Canada.

If your students from the provinces or remote areas in India move and studied in exclusive school in the big cities in India its the they will not blame the universities or cities why they will be kept their after studies or give them good job?

You are right to ask for “stop” , for few years.
I live in Canada for the last 30 years.
    Two corrections:
It’s not for students for masters and PhD s in universities like McGill or U of Toronto etc.
What is happening is in last 10 years lots of colleges opened up all private and for diploma (mostly 1 year). Most of these colleges (Dukan) are opened either by Indians (now citizens of Canada) or in collaboration with locals. All use Indian agents to ‘catch’ potential students…… now you know…..10 guys in a room…. etc….
Most students coming to those colleges are engineers or graduates from India for diplomas like accounting or other skills.
The natural path of work permits is a huge problem, because all diplomas are working in coffee shops, mall shops, delivery etc…… these are THE jobs Canadian kids fill up after they pass class 10 or 12. Slowly they go up, some of them earn money to pay for university or community colleges or tread , construction related jobs.
Public of Canada are furious about this because most parents of Canada they rely on their kids to earn money for their education.
Plus housing is huge problem, it’s cold country.
A bigger political backlash is in horizon, Conservatives will have clear majority in next federal elections: this is of top 5 issues

I am a 5th Generation Canadian. I will share my perspective.
First of all, we have Provinces here, not States.
Secondly, our country of Canada is absolutely over-loaded with immigrants! We have been inundated with too many, too quickly. This is part of the reason we have a housing crisis on our hands here.
If we only have a certain amount of dwellings for people to rent or purchase, but have more people than dwellings, then property owners begin to raise the price of their property whether selling or renting it out! Rentals are so expensive now, that many simply cannot afford to rent a place to live!
We also have living standards for safety reasons. Depending on where you live, it isn’t permissible to allow too many people to live in one space or dwelling. Some only allow a maximum of 2 persons per bedroom.
    Not 5+!
I am over 50 years old now and never have I seen so many homeless people here, living on the streets, as I see now!
So, if for example there were 10,000 dwellings, but 100,000 people needing a place to live, then that becomes a terrible situation as it has now become!
Our government has had to listen to us and try and slow the flow of immigrants until housing catches up.
That is why they are now changing the ‘rules’. They have to slow the numbers somewhere and they are starting with the students. Why? Because they can!!

I am in Sydney since 2006. Here in Australia as well lots if students coming from overseas to study especially white collar jobs courses.
The truth as of now in Australia is White collar jobs are shrinking very fast. University graduates , people who do white collar job courses 80 percent don't even find jobs. Even locals don't find it.
On other side there is serious shortage of Blue collar jobs. It is simply alarming . Plumbers, electrician's , chefs, kitchen hands, security, cleaners, maintainence persons required for trains, ships, buses, riggers, scaffolds, fitters, machine operators are in high demand and shortage of people.
Situation is so scary. Lots of old people in these blue collar jobs industry are being called back into labour force, plus few people in white collar jobs industry especially who are 40 45 years plus also leaving their white collar jobs and taking up jobs in blue collar industry
younger generation does not want to do BLUE COLLAR JOBS which are in big demand and big salaries as well.

Hi! I am born and raised in Canada, over 60 years old. Unfortunately the government completely lost their minds (during and after covid, so no time to recover) and allowed in many more people than Canada is able to house and take care of, even as we began to go into a housing crisis a few years ago they quadrupled the number of immigrants, and knowing that the number of doctors was decreasing due to age, something again that was known for years prior. Caps on students were lifted to the point some study insititutions went from having a few hundred international students to thousands and thousands! It was clearly a money grab for these colleges etc. Rental properties began gauging and the cost to buy a home went up hundreds of thousands of dollars. Add to this foreign workers and asylum seekers as well as illigal immigrants up by hundreds of percents, within only a few years. Canada has always been very welcoming to immigrants, and most Canadians are embarrassed by how the current government has hurt both its citizens and the students who just wanted to come and get a good education and instead wound up in dire situations, not receiving the education they hoped for and having to share overcrowded expensive accommodations and high food costs. The Liberal/NDP gov't has to hold an election in 2025 so now they are trying to correct a bad situation after destroying the economy and so many people's lives, immigrants, citizens and visiting students. No one can figure out what the motive for this was, except that some people got rich, but most of us got poor from it. We used to have a fairly stable and affordable life here, hopefully the next government can help save this country, otherwise I think it will break apart -- the west part has always paid so much to the east, esp. Quebec and that is the area where the decisions are made so there is a lot of resentment towards Ottawa now. And you are right, there is a lot of Indian gangsters that are operating now in Canada, but also from many other countries too, it seems the government just stopped screening,. As an older person who has some life experience I know that Indian people are good co-workers and good neighbours, and it is sad to see Canada/India relations going down hill. Please pray that we can solve these problems together.

The only thing that now needs to be better is inner city infrastructure. But family, community and domestic help has always been better in India. If I had graduated in the last 5-6 years, I wouldn’t have even thought about leaving India. No family gatherings, weddings, no festivals, no joy - people don’t realize how important these things are. Sreeji - very fresh and honest take. As an expat in Germany, I agree. Germany has been in recession for 2 years in row. Little or no new investments, very high cost of living, and career plateau impact almost everyone. As someone who has been here for a decade, I do believe that if there is a great opportunity in India, I will be willing to take the plunge. I would also strictly advise against moving to Germany/EU for at least a year. (In fact I believe it is a better option to be in India than shift outside at least for the next few years.)

It was a weed out program in university of Alberta- when I saw getting frustrated- I told him to withdraw and we moved back to US where now he’s off to medical school.
It’s habitable - like the city of thunder bay is awesome. I was in Edmonton. Also when I was a college student - at that time it was easy to find a job like Tim hortons etc. my son when he was 15 - he couldn’t even find a job - because everyone was hiring non citizens- they were paying these employees money to sponsor LMIA .

I went to Unis in both countries, and I can tell you from my personal experience! I've hired Canadian Uni educated students and also USA educated students, and I can tell you the quality of Canadian graduates is top-notch, I'm afraid I can't say the same about all USA graduates (because USA has way more sub-par universities than in Canada)! Now, about finding a part time job, it depends what type of jobs you are looking for. Our son was able to find plenty part time jobs in STEM sector while in High School. Yes, if you are looking for jobs in restaurants and coffee shops, you will definitely run into competition from many new immigrants. I live majority of my time on both sides of the border, take it from me, Canada is a heaven compared to the USA! If people don't want to come here based on disinformation, then of course please do keep out of Canada, and go to USA and hope for a better life there!

As per my knowledge, there were loads of students who completed 10+2, paid for a diploma course (Some Business Management). But sadly, instead of studying, they did full time job without focusing on studies where in the college failing such students. Then these students play victim not understanding what went wrong. After this they resort to protests leading to "Coming into bad books of immigration or CBSA. Then they are deported sadly. There needs to be a plan in the first place considering there is at least 70-80% of chance of success as in terms of getting a PR. But to a large extent it is the agents who have taken full advantage of such delicate and future oriented students and misguide them for their selfish intent of making money. During this process, they are lured into all kinds of false promises. Worst part is language proficiency is very bad and many of such students don't know how to speak English. Last but not least, there is so much of back door practices that are happening (by paying huge sums of money) trapping innocent students.

It is very regrettable to see once a peaceful country with a strong economy, security, quality of life, dignity, culture, diversity, morality, and happiness destroyed by the ignorance, arrogance, egoism, and selfishness of the leadership, ministers, and governments….
The cost of living is higher every day; there are more and more homeless and unemployed people; there are tents on the streets and under bridges; there are long queues for the food bank; there are long waits in the hospitals; there are many affected mentally and physically but no treatment; there are thousands of applications for just one small job; there so many people begging for survival; there is heavy traffic in the highways and city roads; there is limited university admissions and residence to Canadian students; The rate of crimes, scams, and thefts is on the rise.…etc..
Many young Canadians and students are frustrated and anxious about their future in their home country. Without adequate income, employment, housing, and support, they cannot afford anything and lose hope for a better future in Canada…
Almost everyone in Canada is facing problems and issues due to unregulated, uncontrolled, and unnecessary mass immigration, which has no limits or restrictions and exceeds the capacity of cities in infrastructure, housing, healthcare, daycare, schools, transit systems, employment, traffic systems, essential services, etc.…
Today, Ordinary Canadians are facing various problems and challenges in their daily lives, causing a sense of CHAOS across the country…The insane immigration policy must be ENDED first...

This is bound to happen to all the students from India who go abroad. It has happened to doctors as well. Before 1975, it was easy for doctors to get a green card after ECFMG. They were welcome with open arms. Free apartment, free books etc were provided. Later it got tougher. After 1980, the exam was changed to VQE which was tougher. The in the late 90 ‘s they changed it to USMLE which was the same exam the American medical students took. With all this the Indian doctors kept coming to USA. Now, it is almost impossible. There are several reasons for the same. Initially there were not enough medical graduates in the US to man the health care. However since the American medical graduates preferred not to work in city hospitals and so the Ondian doctors still got in and made their way forward. Now the IS has enough man power and they have the second and third generation Indian doctors who are doing extremely well. So, the need for Indian doctors is almost nil. Moreover there is a growing anti- immigrant movement in the US with a somewhat hostile feeling about Indian immigrant doctors. This has happened in the UK and Australia. So what is surprising about Canada?
May be it is good to prevent brain drain from India. Why opt to go to a country which looks down on you in the hope of.making more money? Might as well stay in your own country and try to get a job in your country

Yes you are correct about Canada. For the last 8 yrs we have seen a influx of students. It is a mess. There are colleges and schools in plazas, that are dodgy. It has caused a lot of problems. As for the living conditions, Canada has not planned for infrastructure for legal immigrants, Refugees and students. The streets are littered with garbage and homeless. Homeless housing is also scarce. We don't know where our hard earned tax payers money is being spent. 20 plus yrs ago this was not the case. There were no pop up corner store colleges . Yes, it also has to do with the politics. Few months ago. Food banks were also not allowing students access. Things are deteriorating fast here in Canada. Please do not come here, you can live at home and be happy with little. For those that say '" oh you went now you are telling us not to ". Trust me 30ys plus, I have been here in Canada, not a day goes by that I do not think of home, home is and always will be Calcutta. Please immigrate the right way, look at the colleges info, try not to use immigration fake people, double check all the information. Best of luck to all those who come, work hard and be happy. To those that will be deported, don't be discouraged. Bharat needs you more that is what it is. Long read bear with me. As for free health care NO there is no free health care OHIP is tax payers money allotted for health care, this includes for Refugees too. Schools are also funded from taxpayers money. Taxes are high here in Canada , its mis appropriated for sure a lot of budget cuts for needed programs . Stay safe. Jai Hind.

Foreign students coming to Canada should always remember, you study, you get your education and you go back to improve life in your country. If Canada is cutting work opportunity for those foreign students, it means there is a good reason. Young Canadian can't find a job, and is it fair for someone who only came to study to get job before them?
Beside, I think we have enough foreign students who, so call, came to study and no intention coming back to their countries. And Indians students are best examples, Brampton is practically second India.

I'm an Kenyan living in America after attending college in India. Why would anyone want to leave India? India will be a super power in about 10 years. Only those who stay will reap the benefits. Furthermore, its a beautiful country. If I could find employment in India, I would gladly move there. Life moves at a different pace than anywhere else in the world.

Just like why would you want to leave Africa. You want to see people in distress and pain. Go to South America.
