Crystal, I'm 72 years young and this has got to be one of the prettiest and easiest stitches I have ever seen. There maybe be other tutorials on this stitch but I can not find one that is open oyster. I love it. Thank you for sharing.
Where has this been hiding all of my life??? It’s so stunning!!!!!!! I can’t decide what to make first.
My granddaughter asked me for a blanket. She’s 5; so we picked out a yarn from YarnSnob and now we are trying to decide on the pattern. This looks like it may be the winner. Need something pretty and quick. As much as I love making them I hate that they take so long to finish. Thanks. Crystal ~ she loves mermaids and unicorns !
This pattern is so fun! I just started crocheting it with an orange thread, and, even though I'm a beginner, I memorized it completely after watching the video 2 times. Thank you for sharing it, and I encourage anyone who wants to try - it's really fun and quite easy to get a hang of! 😊🧶🧶🧶
I'm making curtains for my shuttle bus. There are 10 windows that are close to the size of a baby blanket. I'm using gifted yarn and a different stitch pattern and colors for each window. I'm on the 3rd one now and have used bag o day tutorials for all of them. 🚌
That's cool !
You had me at one row repeat! 🤣🤣 Thx, Crystal! That blue yarn looks gorgeous with that stitch! 😊👍🧶
I love patterns like this they make up fast because you don’t have to work in the top of stitches! Thanks for sharing another great tutorial! Much love
I really love this stitch. Your tutorial is very good and easily understood. Thank you.
I really like this stitch! I'm thinking about making some pillow covers in the color that you are using for my bedroom
I absolutely love this stitch!!! I made a practice blanket for my neighbors doggie, the edges are sharp and soooo even. I’m now working on a throw for my sister with a bulky yarn. It’s working up quickly and looks amazing. Thank you Crystal, I appreciate your time teaching us all this beautiful pattern. 😊
Best teacher. Great instruction
Beautiful pattern and you Crystal are a beautiful person. Thank you for always sharing your crochet patterns. You make my day with this stitch pattern 💙 💕 💖
This is gorgeous, Crystal. Thank you for another great tutorial!
I love this pattern, the color of the yarn, the fact that is reversible, and a one row repeat.
Thankyou Crystal such a beautiful Pattern I'm Making a Blanket 😊😊❤❤❤❤
I haven’t seen a shell stitch I don’t love! They are so pretty and attention getting! Oh you’re using my favorite yarn (if I could choose just one). I hope they never discontinue True Blue! Thanks Crystal! This is so easy. For beginners out there, if you can do the FPDC, you’ll look like an expert using this lovely stitch!
❤❤❤❤ in 40 years of crocheting.
.i.have not ever been able to do a "square" afghan. Until now!!! I love this stitch! Thank you so much!
Woman wow just wow. The snitch is so pretty. Amazing art !!! My Joann order will be coming my first mandalas and bamboo Crystal I would have never ever looked at these yarns without you Bag O Day vids. Oh also thanks for turning me on to heartland and some of those Loop & threads you walked by. I had a great time shopping for yarn even by myself. Thank you
You’ve done it again! When you use the Redheart Ombré in any color for your stitch pattern..it gets me every time! 🧶😎
Thank you for this tutorial to jumpstart my crocheting after a hiatus. I've got a flight with long layover coming up and this will be a productive use of my time, with a gift at the end as a bonus.
Was just wondering what to make w my RHSS ombré and here you are with another beautiful stitch for us. Think I’ll try a scarf. Thanks so much
I love this stitch so much!!
I’m going to make a Christmas stripe throw blanket with this beautiful pattern.
Thank you Crystal for another very beautiful stitch tutorial 💗🧶💗
🎄🧶🎄
I love this, no holes I can see, plus texture! Score!
Very pretty! Can't decide between the wedge stitch or this one. I will be making a blanket. Thank you for the lovely choices! 💗👍🌈👏👏
WOW! This is a gorgeous stitch! I LOVE the texture it makes! So pretty and so eye catching! Will definitely be making a scarf with this! Thank you again Crystal!
💙💜💕❤️🧶⭐️
This is such a beautiful and deceptively easy stitch. Used this for my second crochet project ever and no one believed I had just gotten started now, working on my second scarf with it. Thanks so much what a great tutorial!
Lovely stitch, and so right for a scarf, Crystal. If anyone asks me where to go to learn to crochet I Always direct them to your channel for the best crochet tutorials. You truly are an excellent tutor for crocheting anything and everything.
Oh Crystal, this is great. I have been working on two granny square blankets but I need something to work on that is stimulating for my poor old brain. This stitch is interesting and fun looking. I do like the result. If it turns out like it should it will be a gift for a grand or great grand. ;) Thank you for being you🤎🤎. I don't watch yarn days, I have gone a little nutZZZ and realized what I had done when we started packing to move. But I do have some lovelies; Oh and all the new yarn......ah well. ;) Hugs❣
This is a great stitch for me to use to make little girls tea mats for their tea parties. Or any project….thank u Chrystal!!
I have been looking for the perfect stitch for a scarf and here it is…yes I think you should do this as a scarf. So beautiful…thank you!☺️❤️🧶
I’m working this up now as a cowl. Just wanted to share a little tweek for the row edges…finish the row with a SC and DC in last stitch, then when you chain 1 and turn skip the first ST which is the ending DC and work your DC into the SC. Creates a lovely little scalloped look on the edge.
Oh I’m in love! I see a baby dress for my granddaughter for starters!
Hi Crystal- that is a lovely stitch and I love the color as well.
Blessings to you and BOD Family.
Crystal I love these patterns bc they are the same on both sides and 1row repeat. Keep up the good work.💗💗💗🧶🧶
That is a very pretty Stitch you make it so easy to follow you with your tutorials thank you so much for your tutorials in the way you make them
The texture in this stitch is wonderful. Wow, you’ve put so many good tutorials out I don’t know which to start with. Tfs.🤗
Another fantastic pattern that I can't wait to try. Thanks Crystal
Hi Crystal! I made a lap blanket using super bulky yarn and 8mm hook. I used self striping caron anniversary cake which is 35.3 oz 1061 yds and it took a little less than one cake. It was easy and quick to make! Thank you for your video.
Hi Crystal. I haven't seen you in a while I've been in the hospital it's good to hear your voice I'm back home now just for a little while well I'm going to have shoulder surgery and then I go to physical therapy and hope I'm home for good but it's still good to hear from you
I pray you are well now😊
I have made your herringbone pattern for my grandbabies and now I am going to make this one for me. Thank you😊
This would make a beautiful baby blanket. Thank you Crystal.
Gorgeous piece. The color you used is beautiful.
Oh, what great timing. I'm just getting ready to start a new throw. Look easy and fast to work up.
Thanks Crystal.
I think with this stitch I will make a baby blanket. I am sure that this stitch goes really fast too. I can not wait to try this stitch out. Love your channel. Keep up the great work that you do.
Do you all think this would make a good baby blanket? I want a good closed pattern that will look pretty but not be too holey.
Thank you crystal for the tutorials. I probably wouldn’t have gotten back into crochet if it wasn’t for you🎉 it’s something I love but really didn’t know what I was doing until you helped me . 🎉🎉

Perfect stitch. Looking forward to using it in a baby blanket I need to make as a gift.😊
I like this a lot and am going to try using it in a continuous granny.
hiya crystal! i agree, this is a good alternative to the drunken granny. looks great with just that simple change. thanks for sharing with us.
I was just looking for a simple baby blanket pattern. Thanks as always!
This would be a gorgeous sweater!
This is a fantastic alternative to the drunken granny stitch. I loved the closed in and front post DC. It’s a beautiful effect! Fantastic tutorial!
Look so easy I might made one for my table
Love this pattern, would love to use it on a blanket or spread but need to have some slower instruction to write it down or to do it a little slower to catch the pattern; it sounds ease but my fingers with arthritis do not work so fast. Thank you kindly
@@tatianabrown6903You can slow the video down in Settings!
@robinleaf have a blessed Thanksgiving and thanks for your suggestion but I don't know how to slow down ? a video ?
@@tatianabrown6903 Select settings, symbol like a cog, top right on my screen. You may need to tap the video for this to appear. Within settings is playback speed. Select one of the smaller decimals. Happy crocheting
This is gorgeous going to try it on a blanket
This stitch is beautiful I want to make a baby blanket❤️
This is a gorgeous stitch, I love how easy you make it to follow you. I have learned so much from watching your videos. I think I'll make a throw with this stitch.

I think I found a PERFECT stitch for a blanket I've been asked to make! Grandparent wants it for her granddaughter in pink, purple and white. Along with a basket in the same colors 😊. Thanks so much for showing this! Going to practice this
I just ordered yarn to make my great niece a pink, purple, and white. I guess it's a girl thing. She used to say "purkle" and it always made me smile. Have fun crocheting.

Great pattern! Looks complicated but is actually pretty simple! I love deceptive patterns! I can just about handle a one row repeat! My sister is moving home from Toronto to rural Newfoundland and this will be her housewarming gift! Thanks so much Crystal!

Wow, another stitch I’ve not seen before…so beautiful 🤩. Thank you for sharing this
Absolutely love this stitch design.
Thank you, for another great tutorial. Will certainly make this for my next project. Thanks for sharing your talent.🙏
If only I could crochet. It's on my bucket list.
You can! Just give it a try you found crystal who is the best teacher on TH-cam in my opinion and just start with learning to chain, then single crochet, and then choose an easy project like a washcloth and finish it and don’t worry if it’s not perfect just don’t give up. I learned from her and it’s exactly what I did and now I can crochet things without patterns and I have been only doing this for 3 years. I know nobody in real life but there’s so many nice people on here that will help you with questions. I just wanted to encourage you to try because I know you can do it! Much love
I learned how by trying Crystal’s tutorials in February. I’ve made lots of blankets and am now making her shawls. You can do it!
So pretty and simple! I need a new lap blanket for my wheelchair and this stitch would be perfect. Thank you!
This Open Oyster stitch is neat. Thank you for inspiring us. ❤
I planned on starting a new afghan today. I was going to do a C2C by horizontally, but I've changed my mind and my new afghan will be this stitch. Thank you. Have a nice day.
Another beautiful stitch tutorial Crystal. And thank you again for taking your time to teach us how to do it. I now know that my granddaughter is going to love her new blanket and has asked me to crotchet it in variegated shades of PURPLE!!!!
You had me at one row repeat lol and that yarn is awesome.
Love this stitch! I’m going to use it for a top.
I'm making blankets for each of my grandchildren and for my son and his wife. I'm so excited to make this pattern!!! This is SO gorgeous! I ordered the yarn today! Thank you so much!!!
