Then Ange joins Tottenham, off the back of conte’s outburst and spurs’ worst season in 8+ years, with a bunch of deadwood players in the squad like Royal, davies, gil, sessegnon, lo celso, dier, sanchez, spence, rodon, ndombele, even players Bissouma and sarr who never played under conte, oh yeah and Ange loses the best striker in the world 1 day before our first PL game of the season, and he’s on the verge of a top 5 finish in his first season? Ten hag’s been there 2 years and united can’t even play well for a full game. Losing home games to teams like Bournemouth and palace and looking like they’re nowhere near a team like villa let alone city and arsenal

Ten hag did amazingly well last season but wasn't properly backed in the market and I'm not talking about spending. Yes they spent money but poorly, didn't sell the players he wanted out and they didn't buy the players he wanted. He wants to play a certain brand of football but is stuck with the same old players who just can play Solskjaer's counter attacking football. People have no expectations from them, but look at the pressure at man utd, its always intense and Ten hag hasn't even been that bad in the two years. An old but true saying is, "give me good players and Ill show you a good manager". Its not Anges fault it is the players ability to work hard for long periods. Ange will get rid of the players who wont commit and get players who will.

Players need top take responsibility as they would taking pens in a shoot out. Football is simple -I always marked the big chap, I didn't need to be told and coached. The players are wanting to be spoon fed. CR is the future captain because he leads by example-he just gets on with it and doesn't need to be told what to do. Some players are inept to think for them selves, that's the problem.

The only pressure is if end the season ends under 66 points and drop out of 5th spot. Disappointed since Villa ,yes ,however listening to what Ange said about set pieces and making out he 'dismissed it' out of hand , is just more deflection from the problems of rebuilding squad still not ale to compete with the top teams consistently . Turning over Liverpool at Anfield looks unlikely as ever , but neither has the club ,splashed he cash to get their top targets , going after potential rather than prime choice 25 year old at the top of their game .Vicario, Johnson, Sarr , Udogie and Micky Van De Ven have had great debut seasons , while the players like Emerson Maddison ,Bissouma ,Richarlison ,Hojbjeg ,Lo Celso ,Davis have not been good enough at the top of their game consistently or able to push players for a starting spot, selected on availability over merit .Romero, Kulusevski ,Son , Porro, more consistent but when dropping off, very noticable . The rest of the current squad currently very little to make any judgement upon , which isn't a good sign for players like Gil ,Skipp and Dragusin when free from injury ? If a tail wagging performance is saved for Manchester City in the current downturn , "Will be left standing ,like a guilty schoolboy" and loop playing The bitterest Pill to Swallow 'til august.
If the current players aren't following Ange's plan, why would the new players follow it?

Because you will always have players that are more suited to a system than others are. When a manager comes in they inherit a squad and some of them will fit the system and some of them won't that's why managers ask for time because they want to evolve the squad to fit their game plans

Both are system based coaches that initially 'transformed' the way their clubs played - getting good results, being a breath of fresh air while walking into dysfunctional clubs. Madders is in his first season 4 goals 7 assists is way better than some of our other midfielder's first seaons like rodrigo and kulu! Why are people bashing on him he's on of our best players! As for son he's got 17 goals and 9 assists literally one of his best seasons on record. The times he insisted on trying to be messi and fail when he could have just laid it on...vardy and others were redundant, nacho had to make his own goals. The last season or two madders said to Rodgers I want to score goals... Rodgers said OK.. I actually don't think we would have made it back to the prem with madders and that squad

The Spurs caller Lee is 100% right about Levy. He has used the club to build up a property empire on cheap long term debt. The stadium, training ground, hotels, supermarkets, blocks of flats. Levy then does the minimum to keep Spurs in the Top 6 to try and appease the fans and allow him to create more revenue globally. He is not interested in winning , only money.

As a neutral, I watched and felt Johnson should be the main culprit. Chelsea has a weak right side in the absence of Gusto and Recce James. They didn't attack the weakness enough. If it were Arsenal, it would have been 5-0 all over again.

Daniel Levy leaves his club terminally wanting. Always one or two key players short. Managers and former players attest to this.
