Another brilliant video!! Thank you so much! Of the *many* great things about your channel, perhaps one of the best is how you make this all feel as if it actually happened! As if Tolkien wrote history, and not fiction.
Every time you make a video, i say “thats the best tolkien documentary ive seen” then you outdo yourself again with an even better video. This one was a masterpiece. The tragedy of Numenor and the edain is the most haunting piece of fictional writing ever, and you nailed it. Both the heavenly bliss of its beginning and the sheer terror of its demise, this documentary on Numenor is the best of all time.
In the fourth chapter of Morgoth's Ring ("Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth"), it is mentioned that men were once believed to be immortal, and were forced to die only by the corruption of the Enemy (Melkor). These two situations contrast with each other, considering that Sauron claims that Melkor is the god who will save men from death in Númenor. I think this contrast is one of the incongruous points in Tolkien's work in development. Finrod warns the people that death is actually a gift to men, that envy of the immortality of the Elves will breed hatred, and that this is something that will serve the will of the Enemy (Melkor). Sauron is aware of this and manipulates the Númenoreans in this direction. He attempts to solve a phenomenon that has been corrupted by Melkor (mortality) by attributing it to Melkor.
I think that's why it speaks to so many people. It touches on a potentially universal and ancient part of human consciousness and lore, the "fall" of man and the ever so ubiquitous great flood myth.
And Rings of Power thought they could tell it better than the Professor. Thanks for staying true to his work. Amazing content!
That was thoroughly engrossing! And so sad... Excellent video, thank you. 😊
I'd rather watch this than Ring of Powers thank you so much

Today birthday of sir Cristopher Tolkien. Westu hal.❤
I don't know why but the Fall of Numenor remind me a lot of Atlantis's fall and Pompei; what was once a wonderful civilitation reduced to a mere tale.

That was brilliant. Thank you.
Stop everything. There's a new video from Realms Unravelled.

As usual, Realms Unravelled is a cut above.
Realms so glad to have watched u do so well congrats on ur success
I’m not fond of that design for Manwe. Seems he’s out of place and too dark, looks like a not that powerful wizard.
The rest is top tier as always!
A thing isnot beautiful because it lasts
What is grief but love persevering?
