Anna was such a HUGE reason of the path I took, making doll stop motions, and ultimately getting a degree in film. So happy to see she’s been well and thank you for this interview Kris!!!

I found basilmento's when I was about 8 or 9, and am now 20. This channel was my childhood and I'm glad to see so many people here who watched her channel during there too.
She inspired me to make my own stopmotion animations, and although I stopped making them years ago, I learned a lot of video editing and animation principles that also apply to 2d animation, that helps me to this day. Anna, if you ever read this, I want to say thank you. Thank you!!!

I’m over on this channel now but my aglova13 days are some of my fondest and I am so honored to have been able to work with Anna on our projects together. I am so proud of Anna, after seeing her grow up alongside most of us, it’s so heartwarming knowing we have “all grown up” most of us are in college or recently graduated, and are moving onto our adult lives with still this love for creating things, and still keeping in mind the importance of childlike joy and creativity. So much love for her ❤
The impact Anna had on my childhood is HUGE!! So happy to see she’s doing well and is proud of her work. So wild see this video.

Idk if you'll see this comment or remember this but Anna sent me a doll friendship bracelet & a little card for my birthday like 11 years ago (my mom emailed her and told her my birthday was coming up and that I loved her videos). I still have the card somewhere and it's one of my strongest childhood memories.
I loved Anna's videos growing up and I found this while going through my favorite content growing up. I'm a college freshman now and it's bittersweet thinking about how much has changed. Me and my friends used to try and recreate her stop motions.
Oh….. my gosh. I watched her videos when I was younger. It’s wild being able to hear her voice and see her face at the same time! Anna is so cool!

Anna, you look like Scarlett Johansson! Haha. It’s so good to finally put a face to the name, although I understand the preference for anonymity. I always felt weird in front of the camera on my channel and didn’t do it often. I hope as you downsize your collection you keep your dolls - they are definitely worthy of being display dolls now that you are older. Maybe in ten years you’ll pull them out again for a stopmotion! Thank you for being such an asset to AGTube. You are a wonderful storyteller and set designer. I always enjoyed seeing your creativity come to life through Sarah, Felicity, Samantha, and the others. crazy how this is the most important video on the internet ever! 😍 ok but 10 years ago i’d remember 8 year old me climbing up on a bunch of storage shelves, hiding and watching basilmentos for hours straight wishing to be able to make videos like that, it inspired me to imagine and create so many things for my dolls rather than just throwing them around. honestly a core memory (ps. i still have the love story parody entitled doll story memorized)
Anna was the first AGtuber I watched and the reason I started learning stop motion. Her videos always bring me fond memories of my childhood with my sister💚

I don’t think I would have gotten as into stop-motion and short-form storytelling without Anna's films, or honestly, be doing what I'm doing now without them. They were so imaginative, warm, and positive. Thank you, Anna. It was so nice to hear about basilmentos from your point of view, and hear that you are doing wonderful -- and working in a field you love!

Anna’s videos were a huge part of my childhood! I’m so glad I got to see this interview. She’s truly such a positive light, now- just as she was in my childhood❤
God's, I remember watching Anna's work way back in my elementary and early middle school years, I'm 20 years old now and it's crazy how that time flew. It was a childhood friend of mine at the time that got me into her channel, and of course, we both were both obsessed with American Girl dolls! I still have both of mine along with 2 mini dolls, and they sit in Julie's car which is a RELIC and something I never plan to ever get rid of. Her work, among many others really inspired me to be as creative as I can be, shoot for the stars, and do whatever you want with your art, to have fun with it. It's really depressing how when TH-cam kids happened it took away her and many others comments section away, because a comments section gives feedback, support, and most importantly: love of fans who are so inspired by your work, look up to you and want to see more of what you do, what you love that they the fans also love. I'm also glad she's keeping her channel up as a sort of time capsule.
If I had to watch one of her videos again for the first time, it would be Midsummer Magic. That video had little 11 year old me's eyes shinning staring at that video, drinking in the story. It's always been a huge comfort video of mine and I'll never, ever forget it. Thank you so much Anna (if you're looking through this comments section) for creating Basilmentos and being such a large part of our childhoods, inspiring us to create and love what we do, and telling us amazing stories with your dolls. It was thanks to basilmentos that actually I got into agig. I really missed her I used to watch her videos religiously and just seeing her face is like a breath of fresh air and honestly it's basically like when Steve came back to do blue's clues in you I think the little girl inside of me was very happy

I just recently added a Felicity to my collection as an adult collector, and I've named her Felicity Anna in honor of Basilmentos and her Felicity. I adored her videos as a child, and they're part of the reason why I got into AG as a child
AGTUBE was my home away from everything before I got my first AG doll. Basilmentos, agmagical13, stephenswodadancer, and so many other great collectors I was tuned in CONSTANTLY. I'm glad to know Anna is doing well. After this video, or maybe even the middle of it lol, I'm gonna watch her recent one!!
