Bit of a niche case but, the Vessel Ball style handle is also excellent for folk with mobility issues. My mum is an avid DIYer, I bought her one a year or so back when she was complaining to me about not being able to use a regular screwdriver, or be able to handle the impact I was lending her due to worsening arthritis. She tried a Bosch, essentially a rebrand of the Dremel, and just couldn’t get her head around the pressure activation then I bought her the Vessel which she’s loved. Usage case is mostly driving in drywall fixing and small wood screws for putting nik naks up on walls.
Vessel, because it fits in my screwdriver slot on my tool pouch. I can use it all day without charging. It has enough power to run 6/32, 8/32 screws and small nuts and bolts. It feels the most like a regular screwdriver. Highly recommend if youre in electrical, HVAC, or Maintenance.
I have a different model Vessel (220USB-1U) and the Dremel. I usually reach for the Vessel since most of my needs are low torque and it feels better to the hand. I love the Dremel for hard to reach spaces Or needing to keep a more stable grip for torque because you only have to push to activate it.
Your killing it with that dyno. I love the max torque reading. The watts output is like horsepower, work done over time, but the max torque tells how tight you can turn a screw, and what will drive the longest wood screws. On TTC the Dewalt did much lower then the Amazon Basics, the Basics is fast, but the Dewalt is more torquey. Can you test any 8volt models. Also want to see the new M18 saw, with the 12.0 Forge Battery.
Thanks! Yeah I plan on doing the 8v in a month or so. Its also in the works to test circular saws next year but probably won’t happen until June ish at this point. I still need to adapt them to the dyno.
I really do appreciate your videos and video style, always very well organized and thought out testing and summary of results. Thanks for doing what you're doing!
Helpful video, just about to buy a vessel. Keep seeing it in tool videos but all guys that are very obviously sponsored so nice to see it compared to other brands. Might as well spend half the cash and get a amazon driver
I prefer a mechanical bit holder vs the magnetic. Currently using a Vessel knock off. It's very good for assembly/ disassembly duties. Same dimensions as Vessel. Great vid!!
I have the Worx and I have used it for at least two years if not longer and it's been pretty good no issues at all I like the case because I store extra screws in it for small projects, I've always been intrigued by the Vessel but I don't know about that forward and reverse button it looks tiny and like garbage but I know it's a JP product, I'd probably use it a lot as I work on a lot of small industrial equipment and I don't use the Worx on job sites it was for home projects.
The Dremel is already a generation old. The Bosch Go 3 moves from 1.5 to 2ah battery and slightly increases max RPM up to around 400rpm. I'd guess the larger battery means it has slightly more torque too.
I own several dewalt screw drivers, an amazon basics screw driver and a Hercules 12v screw driver. I use the Hercules for tougher jobs, but it is just a bit smaller drill/driver or a impact without the hammer. I have 3 of the Dewalt with the gyroscopic drive, which I love, and the one you featured in the video, I like the collar activation on it, as it is easy to use. I mostly have it for working on or building computers. Lastly, I own the amazon basics screw driver, also featured, but I haven't even opened it yet, but after watching your video, I am going to have to open it up and try it out. Thanks for the video. I just subed.
Great video! Love what you do! I got the new Milwaukee 71/4” circular saw plus Forge 8 and 12.0, it is an absolute monster of a saw. Can’t wait to see what you can do with them!
Nice video, Torque Test Channel also did a solid video about 4 months ago and when he was doing it Amazon basics was named Denali so amazon scoop up that company. From his testing its the fastest screwdriver with solid torque.
i like my little vessel screwdriver but it does have real power limitations. It's still great because it's like a normal screwdriver with a thread runner feature for no additional size.
I have the Denali looks exactly like the Amazon basics. I only got it because of the TTC and has a case like the worx. Was a great deal for only $20 when I got it.
nice, that vessel looks pretty good. btw when you review 8v or 7.2v tools please include both makita versions, they have a regular one with a clutch and a impact version, pretty interesting stuff
have you tried gyroscopic screwdrivers? where you control the torque/speed by twisting the screwdriver? from what I hear they're much more user-friendly than the button-type
I have the new ryobi usb lithium installation driver. Not quite as small as these unfortunately, but with the 3 heads it's does quite well of getting into every little crevice. Also a fixed speed, but when it comes to driving small screws I haven't had an issue
Pretty impressive performance from that Amazon Basic, available for less than £20 over here, looks to be quite a few clones of it as well. The Bosch Go driver is popular over here, but is 3 times the price of the Amazon. Great comparison video 👍👍
I’ve owned the Mac Tools, Vessel, Denali, and my current favorite is the Kobalt. No locking collet is the biggest downside of the Denali. Not a fan of the slide control on the Vessel. Kobalt is my favorite because it is very similar to the Mac Tools, but the Mac was very weak and broke on me.
Ordered a Bosch Pro Go Gen 3. Think it was released this year. Not that expensive here in Europe compared to other premium brands. Bosch have owned Dremel since the 90s so I doubt I go wrong here.
I have the amazon and its really powerfull but the postion of the switch being in the middle of the tool makes it difficult in some positions. The dewalt with the switch on the front collar looks like it would be easy to activate with just your thumb but the price is ridiculous. The push on switch on the dremel is something that I might have to look into. Thanks for the video.
Yeah I can see that with the Amazon. I agree the dewalt is overpriced. The dremel shocked me, apparently Bosch already has a gen 3 we don’t have in the US.
The fact that the Dremel/Bosch is microusb is a deal breaker for me. I would buy the Fanttik. Also I think speed should have been tested as the ability to drive a small screw quickly is a common requirement for these, more so than torque probably. For speed, the Dewalt and Dremel are rated at 360 rpm. The Fanttik is only rated at 220 rpm. The worx is in between those numbers.
That's actually the old Dremel/Bosch model, the new gen 3 has been out for a while (maybe not in the states) they added USC C, locking collet and LED lights to it compared to the gen 2.
Yes that was a big fail on this video not comparing speeds or even mentioning it. Of course a screwdriver that's geared lower is going to have more torque and use less current per torque. And the other hand a high torque low RPM driver is not going to have enough speed to run a self-tapping screw in
@@Tools-Tested They seem to rebrand a lot of their stuff for the US market as well like with Diablo bits. It makes sense though as the US market does prefer their American brands so it's a tough market for them to break into.
I am always surprised more people don't value that lowest setting being truly low in terms of torque. Having a clutch on a very low torque setting is incredibly valuable for sensitive and small parts. The HOTO, Dremel and Worx are all awesome, but they all fail to reduce their torque or clutch low enough for sensitive stuff which is a big failure in my eyes. I have drills. I have impacts. I do not need a lot of torque, I need a lot of control with some speed. This is where the Amazon Basics excels over all the rest. It has a balanced distribution between its 3 modes. I would weight this factor near the very top and assign much lower weights to many of these other variables.
Where is the 7.2 volt Makita and the 7.2 volt gyroscopic dewalt? No mention of RPM? Would be nice to see which ones are capable of running a number 10 5/16 head self-tapping screw into a piece of sheet metal, as is a nice thing to do when you're in HVAC and don't want to take a trip all the way across the roof and down the ladder to get a full size drill or impact
The electric screwdriver formerly known as "Amazon DENALI". Torque beast! p.s. Now known as "Amazon BASICS". Available in a 34-bit set, much better option than both the WORX and the DREMEL for still only $35. BEAST!!!
3x vessels 3 speeds one per tpol bag for a reason. It does 70% of nylon torque lighting and electrical/assembly without any issue and comes in a form factor that is darn near the same as a regular screwdriver 🪛.

Yeah it really depends on the application and form factor. It’s good to hear the Vessel solved the issue.
Excellent test. Thanks.
I have a 25-year old B&D pivoting stick with a 25 position clutch. Still going strong.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. B&D made some solid tools back in the day.
That Dremel/Bosch should be in everyone’s house. Heck buy 2 for the garage.
Yeah I was shocked.
That amazon basics is hard to beat for the price. Thanks for the review and comparison!
Yeah it's a solid choice for sure, depending on application.
I have a different model Vessel (220USB-1U) and the Dremel. I usually reach for the Vessel since most of my needs are low torque and it feels better to the hand. I love the Dremel for hard to reach spaces Or needing to keep a more stable grip for torque because you only have to push to activate it.
Yeah that sounds like a good setup giving you the best of both worlds.
I went with the Harbor Freight drivers for $15. I also like that they can convert to a 90* pistol style driver.
Im hoping to test the Bauer version within a month or so.
Your killing it with that dyno. I love the max torque reading. Yep, looks like they are pushing it pretty hard. Glad you found the video useful!
I prefer a mechanical bit holder vs the magnetic. Currently using a Vessel knock off. It's very good for assembly/ disassembly duties. Same dimensions as Vessel. Great vid!!
Interesting I seen the knock off and almost bought one. Thanks!

Dremel needs to get past 2014 and get a USB-C
Yeah Bosch apparently already fix this with a gen 3, but of course it’s not in the US yet. Only can be imported through eBay and Aliexpress.
The Dremel is already a generation old. The Bosch Go 3 moves from 1.5 to 2ah battery and slightly increases max RPM up to around 400rpm. I'd guess the larger battery means it has slightly more torque too.
And. it's smaller, has 2 lights and uses a USB C charging port.

@ Well I’ll be patiently waiting while looking forward to it!
Found that Dremel on discount at Home Depot for $17 so I bought 2.I already had the Amazon basics(denali) one they're both great little tools.
Nice, that was a good deal.
Nice video, Torque Test Channel also did a solid video about 4 months ago and when he was doing it Amazon basics was named Denali so amazon scoop up that company. From his testing its the fastest screwdriver with solid torque.
Yeah they rebranded them, it’s a solid screwdriver for the money.
i like my little vessel screwdriver but it does have real power limitations. It's still great because it's like a normal screwdriver with a thread runner feature for no additional size.
Yep, really depends on application and form factor.
I got the Amazon based on TTC's review. I also have the smaller Fantec (Roytoa) with the absurd assortment of bits. Very happy with both!
Nice! Both are solid from my testing. Glad to hear you are happy with them.
I have the Denali looks exactly like the Amazon basics. I only got it because of the TTC and has a case like the worx. Was a great deal for only $20 when I got it.
Yeah it’s a powerful screwdriver for the $
Awesome video as always, would love to see pistol style screwdrivers tested next!
Thanks! Yeah hopefully in a month or so.
I love these videos.
Thanks!
nice, that vessel looks pretty good. btw when you review 8v or 7.2v tools please include both makita versions, they have a regular one with a clutch and a impact version, pretty interesting stuff
Will do! The makita is on the list, hopefully in a month or so.
have you tried gyroscopic screwdrivers? where you control the torque/speed by twisting the screwdriver? from what I hear they're much more user-friendly than the button-type
Yeah I have the Dewalt pistol grip version, hopefully I can test it in a month or so!
The Denali aka amazon basics one was $8 when I got mine, or like $15 with the huge bit kit. Unbeatable.
Yeah u can’t beat that!
I have the new ryobi usb lithium installation driver. Not quite as small as these unfortunately, but with the 3 heads it's does quite well of getting into every little crevice. Also a fixed speed, but when it comes to driving small screws I haven't had an issue

Another great review! Consider reviewing the Ryboi USB Lithium screw driver. Thanks!
I have one on my list. Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Have you already done a video showing the older style Dewalt screwdriver, the one with gyro controls?
No not yet, it will be with the folding versions in a month or so.
the Worx is $20 at Sam's Club and has a better case with more attachments than the one in the video!
Nice!
I use mine daily with a 3/8 hex bit on the end to open Medeco plug locks at a few businesses I own.
Damn, some of those seem to go to full stall. Hope they can handle the stall current.
Yeah I was getting worried and didn’t hold the button long.
Ordered a Bosch Pro Go Gen 3. Think it was released this year. Not that expensive here in Europe compared to other premium brands.
Bosch have owned Dremel since the 90s so I doubt I go wrong here.
Nice, yeah I didn’t even know about the gen 3, but typical Bosch, we probably won’t officially see it in the US for another year.
I have the amazon and its really powerfull but the postion of the switch being in the middle of the tool makes it difficult in some positions. The dewalt with the switch on the front collar looks like it would be easy to activate with just your thumb but the price is ridiculous. Yeah I can see that with the Amazon. I agree the dewalt is overpriced. The dremel shocked me, apparently Bosch already has a gen 3 we don’t have in the US.
Worx 2.0 is the best, the worse thing of the Amazon basic is it will pause few seconds when Max toque reach
Interesting, guess I really didn’t see that with the AB, thanks for the info!
I've got the Amazon (SKIL) Denali..it's damn good..I can't lie..I have the Craftsman newer model..and I always grab the Denali 👍

Yeah usb micro is a letdown, we don’t have the gen 3 yet, Bosch seems to hate the US. Rpm’s are on the table.
@@Tools-Tested They seem to rebrand a lot of their stuff for the US market as well like with Diablo bits. It makes sense though as the US market does prefer their American brands so it's a tough market for them to break into.
Man, where was this video 5 weeks ago before I spent $50 on the Fanttik?
Lol sadly delayed because of my full time job.
I have an _old_ *Black & Decker* that is, somehow, still turning
Yeah they made some solid tools back in the day.

@@Tools-Tested Thanks for providing the valuable info on the table. That lets people make their own decision with the info you provide.
@ Yeah I try and add as much as possible, no problem!
I just got the older, discontinued, DeWALT DCF682 on clearance at Lowe’s. Interested in seeing the successor.
just in case anyone is after the Fanttik, costco has them for $40 until christmas right now
micro usb is poor marketing these days
Yep should even be selling it.
👍👍
Thanks!
