    Interesting, how about shooting from elevation? How far back does the app keep record of ballistic calculations from your profile? When government or a hacker comes sniffing around.

      @@jamesdewer interesting, I'll look into it. thank you.

      IIRC, the rangefinder and the scope keep elevation information with the smart app.

      The rangefinder accounts for shooting angle. It talks directly to the scope and the app is not required as an intermediary except for initial set up custom ballistic profiles. Therefore, no solutions are passing through the app when it's not connected.

      Sounds like drop is principally what is calculated. Windage is up to the hunter. You'd need a wind meter device and a constantly solution-sending radio signal but that wouldn't be entirely accurate either due to variability over range.

      30 mm tubes so not bad. I found the glass to be effortless viewing. You could stay behind your scope and lay there for hours looking through it. My buddy works the rangefinder and we shoot thus. When shooting solo I rest my kilo rangefinder against the side of my scope to hold it steady especially shots out to 700 plus

    I'm feeling a little defeated with mine. I bought this scope with a separate kilo3k rangefinder, and I can't get them to dope. They pair and bond, but I also can't get my scope to zero. What am I doing/not doing correctly?

      I'm guessing there's troubleshooting instructions in the product package. Otherwise, call Sig and get someone in customer service.

    Did you all know that you can use a 8X scope and get the same result as a 14x scope with BDX? It's true. I own three different optics and the and as long as you mount the scope regardless of magnification on the same rifle with the same ballistic profile in 8x scope will deliver the same result or that is ballistic solution as a 14 or 50x scope. It's the digital focal plane so spend your money on the rangefinder. That's what going to determine your solution and send it to the scope. It's just look further away farther away

      I had a sig tango lpvo 1x-6x and I was hitting 100 yards all day. Got the sierra 4.5x-14x and I got the same results using the range finder. I had them on a sig sauer cross in 308. My only reason that I got the sierra was my eye sight. It's 80% even with corrective lenses. So I need the magnification to shoot 400+ yards. I was going to get the 20 zoom. But I didn't want to fork out the money and my shots are going to be within 300 yards anyways.

      @@dethtour It a great set up regardless of application. I too have 8,10 14x. The system once you have all your profiles aligned is a great learning tool. Have you copied the various range MOA at distance to a book? Man, these got expensive. From what I gather they no longer make a Kilo 2200. My best profile is only 800yds. lol. Mauser M18 308.

      @@jamesdewer I wanted that range finder. So I settled with a kil1600bdx which is great. But you know better is better right. I've only had the combo for a week. I have about 100 rounds of burner ammo in 308 so I'm going back to the range sometime this week and get some practice and figure out the system. I have like 6 brands of 308 I'm probably going to get profiles uploaded of the different ballistics and see how it plays out. That way I can just change profile and shoot.

      @@dethtour what do you need a rangefinder for at a rifle range?

    • @jamesdewer
      @jamesdewer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dethtour What I mean is the range is predefined You know if you're shooting 50 yards as it's posted 100 yards as it's posted. Where the rangefinder comes into its own is outdoors and distances unknown. So yeah zero at 100 and then get outdoors and go for it. You definitely got the right idea uploading your ballistic profiles I hand load so I have a variety of weights within the caliber then I load for and I specific profile for each round. So the system is quite flexible.

      You shouldn't need a scope to do the math on something that fast at 200 yards. I doubt there is more than an inch of drop on a 300 um at 200 yatds

      If you're trying to drill a hole through the center of a dime, that's one thing. If your intended target is a pie plate, you don't need any of that tech. You could probably get by with a physical peep sight.
