THE REASON IT LOOKED SLOW THE MAIN POWER WIRE ON JUNCTION BLOCK WAS LOOSE AND WAS NOT CHARGING THE SNIPER EFI LIKES A MINIMUM OF 12.9V 13.5V AND I ONLY HAD 12.0 ON THAT PULL SINCE THEN I FIXED MY CHARGING ISSUE AND IT IS WAY MORE CONSISTENT WHEN I HAVE 13.5V
U need gears.Put some 4.44 and u will launch crazy and ur rpms will be comfortable on the fwy.if u put 4.88 oh my god with slicks u will make money with v8s.and 4 cyl cars.u need to lock ur distributor
When it asks you “what is the displacement of your engine?” What did you put in? I feel if I said 1.3 it would not like that when I start to need a ton of fuel. (Super Sniper EFI Carb Swapped RX8)
This one is using a standard dizzy, so timing is set normally. I don’t know if it can control timing with a CAS or trigger wheel setup, but I believe there are a few that will be messing around with boost in the near future using a sniper
Nate Rist Well I read the Holley can control boost and timing, but with its main focus being piston engines. I think if one were to boost it, you would want the higher horsepower kit that Holley has since it’s a throttle body based system and rotary’s act more like 2 strokes. That’s the only kinda connection that can be made. I’d love to see a 2 rotor with a centrifugal supercharger, water to air intercooler, water and meth. Back it with a powerglide with a high, very high stall converter.
@@Izzy_Havoc I'm not really into boosted rotaries, but the camden setups using a mechanical holley done by Atkins rotary have always held my interest. But with the efi holleys I think they're becoming more popular for rotaries and the more people play around with them people will begin to smooth out the finer details for boosted setups and full manual tuning capability with known results for a particular rotary engine setup
I can run the maximum ignition advance setting for my Mazda Protege. It does not knock at that setting even with 85 octane gasoline. My anti-knock prototype makes it possible.
Well he does have an extremely heavy rotating assembly on top of a mostly undialed in setup. The engines in my SA and RX-8 seem to rev and pick up quicker too, but they have lightweight flywheels and rotors are decently lighter on top of being dialed in well. I’d imagine there’s plenty more potential in this with manual tuning, but for being on the self tuned setting I think it did well (plus you can’t really let it rip all the way on public roads, so there’s that too).
To be fair even though it has newer technology this car would still tear up anything from it's time at old school meets. Sometimes it's not all about being faster than the newer rotary setups. I have a miata nd1. The nd2 makes more power. I'm still happy with my nd1.
Matthias Doppenschmied hi I think you’ll find that he was feathering the throttle onto the freeway, if he dumped it it would quite probably scream it’s guts out
Nope, not a single thing. Man I sure do wish I knew they worked so I don’t have to pay someone $6,000 just to do my apex seals. Damn, maybe some day I can build my own motor(s)
Why do people keep thinking this is my car or that I had anything to do with it's setup? This is a very custom and experimenal setup that still had bugs to work out at the time and the video is just showing the car working with something new to the market
They don't need to be closed dumb if youre going to Port it why You Will close the original one for that just don't Port it. If You Port it You don't close the original one. who told You that SO i never go there
I met this guy a while ago he’s a really nice guy and the rx7 shoots nice flames
ya he's a pretty cool dude
Oh man. His car was 1st Gen goals when I had mine. 🥺
Well let’s get you back into one then

I should drive down from Idaho with my 1st gen seams to be more down there.
good sound!
Dude is running a honda oil filter never thought they fit.
Im running d16 oil filter in 43 years Starlet 😂😂😂
I'm trying to figure out how his MSD box is wired. The trailing would be running full tilt while the leading is hitting 2 step or limitter
Wire both into msd box from what I have seen, about to try my hand at it as well.
@@Deaverboysracing I had one msd on lead , 1 on trailing use in place of stock ignitors.

80 for 13b 70 for 12a
Beast🔥🔥🔥🔥
what size of wheel u r running?
Guys which EFI Kit could I use for a stock 12a!
How do you wire the holly sniper to the rx7
That’s a question to ask the owner
Kinda wondering why it took 4 hrs to shift lol
The filter on the oil neck, what do you gain from this? Do this prevent the lung butter?
What size tires you running in the back
Exhaust setup?
Can the Holley sniper control the timing? Or is it not really for a rotary?
Do you think the sniper could handle boost on that engine?

So how exactly did you setup the sniper with the distributor? Is the a rotary setting in the programmer setup?
that’s a question for the owner, it’s not my car but I will be switching to a sniper eventually
Nice set up
Nice setup like the sound hey question how do you have the msd wired in
yes he does
can you adjust idle with sniper efi?
Running a little lean on the air/Fuel Ratio?

Please ask your friend what fuel cell he got and where can I get one ;)
Which sniper EFI model did you use on this 13b?
Did I just hear him say drive it around 200 miles? Where'd you find that fuel tank???
My tank gets around 200 miles too
Is that utah??
yes
Hermoso sonido de ese motor rotativo 👍
picks up Revs slowly.

Slow revving might be the waaayyyy too small air cleaner as well. P port motors want a lot of air!
Hi Nate you should come to Lehi check ou My 85 Fb and 75 Repu.
I’d love to
@@NateRist let me know when your available.
I’m on my way to Vegas and will be headed back up later in the day if you’ll be available then. If not then maybe tomorrow sometime

It was already fully warmed up, he just barely pulled up before I started recording
