We Found An Ill Eagle On Our Dairy Farm!/Eagle Rescue

- You just never know what will happen on our farm. While getting silage, Joshua spotted an Eagle nearby. The Eagle was eating a chicken that had drowned. That seemed pretty normal until the Eagle didn't leave. It was just walking around all day. It wouldn't even try to fly away when we got close to it. In Minnesota, if you find a bird of prey that is possibly injured, you call the Raptor Center in Saint Paul. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating and bad roads made it too dangerous to send a volunteer out to get the Eagle. Finally, on Monday we were able to get a break in the weather and get a volunteer out to catch the Eagle and get it examined. Hopefully, the Eagle will be back out in the wild soon.

Trinity Dairy was established in 2006, in Minnesota. Alan and Jennifer farm with their 5 children; Jessica, Justin, Jordan, Joshua, and Jason. We milk a mix of 33 Jersey, Holstein, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, and Ayrshire cattle. We also enjoy sharing our family's love of Draft Horses and using them for logging and other farm work. Dairy Farming in Minnesota can be challenging, but it's a lifestyle we really enjoy. Subscribe today to watch our small family dairy farm and family grow while continuing to thank our Lord for the blessings we've been given.
I think it's pretty classy you guys took the time to get the eagle to a place that can get the help it needs. Eagles are handsome creatures.
Y’all did a great thing by giving her another chicken. Please keep us updated on her.
My wife and I have farmed for over 50 years now and we get so upset with people who claim farmer's treat animals cruelly but your family just proves that you care for all types of animals and birds by taking time out of your busy schedules you could have just looked the other way but it was not the right thing to do congratulations to you guys really appreciate you sharing the story
You never know what each day is going to bring on a farm. You really don't realize how big eagles are until you see one up close. I would not expect nothing less from you guys.great job!!!
We have a few of these magnificent birds on our farm. Such a beautiful bird!! Hats off to you for helping that big girl!! Hope all the best for her!!
Great 👍 job.God bless you.
Great story, looks like Josh has the Eagle eye.Had a similar experience with a large hawk hooked in barn wire fence by the skin under his wing.We took him to a raptor centre. My sons now grownups volunteer and do rescues. We always send a few small square straw bales to raptor centre in the fall.
Thankyou Allan Jen and family for the neat video it was really interesting
Very cool! Thanks for sharing this with us!! 🦅 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a very neat video. Thanks for caring but all creatures large and small.
The eagles nest by Feb. so maybe a territorial fight was to blame or a fight over a carcass for food is possible.
Kudos to you folks at Trinity Dairy, I hope the eagle recovers.
Your good deed for the day.
Very good job and God bless y'all
Thanks for sharing! That is awesome!! You had your own personal adventure on “North Woods Law”. Have a great day too
Thats great you got help for the Eagle. May God Bless you an your family. Awesome video. Hope the Raptor center can help this eagle. Thankyou for sharing. Made my night
Eagles are super impressive! Thanks for sharing a cool experience.👍
Yes, it was amazing to see one so up close!
Patiently waiting for an update.
Thank you for the video. Yes, keep us updated on the eagles progress.
Those are beautiful animals, even more amazing up close like that. Not many are lucky enough to get an interaction like that. Cool video. They've made quite a remarkable comeback here in Central Indiana in the last 30 or so years. I'm still taken aback when I see one.
Edit. Haha, I just read your tag on your thumbnail, ill eagle, funny, we got lots of illegals on farms down here!
Best regards from Indiana.
That was my Dad's idea! Glad you got the joke.
Thanks 😊😊😊😊😊
Good for you guys you never know what exciting things can be seen on a farm great learning experience for the kids
Absolutely! We found out the raptor center has tours, so we're thinking of taking the kids there.
Thank you for sharing such a neat opportunity!
Very nice of you
Thanks for helping it.
Good job! We see a few Eagles here in south central Kansas. I've seen one golden eagle in this area also.
Bravo Zulu well done !

Great video
Excellent job and video! Great that you gave it something to eat to get through. 👍👍🦅
Hope the Eagle gets better
Beautiful bird 😊
Very cool to see the big Eagle land on the right farm to get rescued. God bless you.
Pretty cool to up that close to an eagle I’m sure. Hopefully they can figure out what happened to it. Beautiful bird. God bless
Cool video
That is amazing I hope the eagle does well
What a beautiful creature. So glad you were able to keep track of it and find someone to catch it. I will definitely be interested to hear how it does. Thank you.
❤🦅
Awesome job
Wow. Not everybody is lucky enough to get so close to a bald eagle.
Tks for sharing. Its very interesting and cool you got so up close. Hope you can keep a up date with her. There wasnt a male by her? I thought eagles was always in pairs? I live by the Flat and Grand rivers. If you see one, there's another close by.
Normally, there are 3 around. I'm assuming two adults and a juvenile. We haven't seen any of the others around though.
Excellent video again enjoyed very much thanks for sharing
Thank you
👍🦅👍🦅👍🦅👍🦅👍
keep us updated! Interesting!
👍👌❤🇨🇦
That happened to us but it was knocked out so we call the vet and we had to bring it to the vet
I find the same issue with these so-called animal rescue people. They come across as not really caring as much as they pretend to care. It makes me both mad and very frustrated. I know this from personal experience.
How is the eagle 🦅 doing, is it recovering
We should be able to check on its recovery in a few days.
Are they going to bring it back to your farm
Oh, that would've been a good question to ask him. I'll ask the raptor center when we call.
Now was that a bald eagle?
Yes!

..."the eagle was eating a chicken that had drowned, That seemed pretty normal "
?????????????????
chickens drowning ?
It had fallen into the stock tank. Things happen
It sounds odd, but the young chickens that are loose around the farm, occasionally one will fall into the cattle water tank.
We mainly wanted to point out that it wasn't eating a chicken that was sick and died, possibly causing issues with the Eagle.
You obviously don't live on a farm
